Went back for my Birthday just a couple weeks ago!
Cynthia gave me a wonderful Relaxing Massage & I got my very first European Facial! She did a great job! :)
Got my first pedicure at Athena with the lovely Monica. Who is very friendly & holds great conversation. They have cozy pedicure chairs & everything is VERY clean.
Loved my second experience.

Received a gift card for my birthday and had never been to a spa before. Got a shellac manicure last week from
Regina and she did awesome! Only took about 25 mins and she really got to know me rather than having awkward silence during the manicure. Went again today to get a relaxation massage from Morgan. I have never felt more relaxed in my life! Never had a professional massage before (never thought it was worth the money), but I definitely plan on coming back! Enjoyed a glass of wine in the tranquility room after my massage and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Place was very clean and my massage room was perfect temp and smelled amazing!

I’ve gone here for several services over the past few years but am not a regular. They are terrific about doing callbacks on weekends and it’s usually super easy to get last minute appointments which are kind of a norm for me.
I’m not into all the frou-​frou knickknacks and aromatherapy, etc but I get that it is a spa and they are trying to set a mood. They just don’t do it that well. Comes across as a little cheap.
What I am looking for are competent professionals and cleanliness (above all!).
So, I was a little late for my first appointment and I had back to backs. I promised everyone that I would be quick and easy (and i was) and so everyone went along and prayed that the timings would work so I didn’t impact other appointments. It all worked out great and I really appreciate that they understood that things happen and allowed me to keep both appointments because I couldn’t reschedule due to leaving on Holiday the next morning.
This trip I had some waxing services done by Rosemarie who was phenomenal and a manicure and pedicure by Monica who was also great.
Both had very clean work areas and I really appreciate that — especially Rosemarie, because I have had waxers there that were not very tidy and frankly, their work style grossed me out. What can you do once you get in that position though?! Rosemarie will definitely be my go to.
My manicure was just a cleanup –no polish but my pedicure was with polish — and it still looks great weeks later.

Very friendly and professional staff. Booking an appointment online is easy and they offer text reminders which is a big help.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Tiffani is. She is so skilled and intuitive in her massage practice. I have been going to her for several years now and despite thinking that massage was for the Country Club/​Ladies who lunch crowd, I have found that seeing Tiffani about every five weeks has helped tremendously with my back issues, and so for me, it is just as much therapeutic as restorative. She listens, remembers and has just the right touch to keep my body feeling great. Seeing her is just as important as seeing my doctor or dentist to keep my health issues in check. Her calm manner and sweet disposition make it a pleasure to spend time with her. The facility is clean, quiet, they send text message reminders and I have not had one bad or sub-​par experience with my massage appointments in four years. If you are looking for someone who can provide a wonderful spa experience, come to Athena and ask for Tiffani. BTW, with the holidays coming, a gift certificate makes a great gift. It is my go-​to when someone asks what I want for my birthday or Christmas.

I’ve never had a bad experience at Athena Day Spa-​have had fabulous haircuts and color from Jodi (who knows just the right way to create a low-​maintenance «hair-​do» but great color and style), and also a good haircut with Brittany, not to mention great conversation with all the girls! Definitely recommended!

On my entrance to the salon it felt very inviting and professional. Going in was even more inviting. I had just a standard dudes hair cut done by a new person there named Bekah and she did a fantastic job. I will be sending people here for sure. I will try out their massage people next and update my review.

Rose does a fantastic job with my brows. She takes the time to shape them to my structure and always leaves me feeling my best!

I’ve been a long time customer of Athena. I went for ocasional massages, bikini waxes and pedicures before they moved. Since they’ve moved I’ve been a regular massage customer. I can’t say enough good things about Tiffani. She works wonders on aches and pains and her scalp massage. Wow. I’ve recently added reflexology to my monthly massage. I’ve had bikini and brow waxes there too. Rose, Kariss and Samantha all do a great fast job. Quick waxing is the best waxing in my book! The pedicure area has huge comfortable chairs like you’d have in your living room. Very comfortable! I just found out Samantha does lash extensions too. I just got them yesterday. They look great! I’ve never had any hair services done since my daughter is a hair stylist and does it all for me, but all the services I have had I enjoyed. It’s a luxurious atmosphere that makes me feel quite pampered! I also appreciate their online booking system. You can go on, choose your service and it shows you all the open times and who is available. It allows you to create a login so you can rebook previous services easily. They also do booking via text and regular old phone. No excuse not to make an appointment! :)

I was given a spa day facial, massage, manicure and pedicure. I was shocked when I discovered there were no slippers so I had to walk bare footed to the treatment room, I don’t believe this is following State guidelines and it certainly isn’t sanitary. But the facial was nearly perfect if the practitioner had performed the movements more slowly it would have been perfect. She was very nice. The massage was great she paid attention to what I had told her and was great. The manicure and pedicure were minimal and barely ok. a day after the service my feet looked like they needed a pedicure. She was rushed taking personal phones calls paid no attention to the dry skin on my feet, really disappointing. I would recommend Athena for massage and facials but for manicure and pedicures there are many better options out there. I am a licensed cosmetology, esthetics and nail instructor so I do know how these services should be done.

A friend referred me to Brittany bearing in mind I am a mid twenties woman who hates awkward small talk and once loved boxed hair dye. Brittany (with the flawless Ariel-​red hair) was able to text with me to set up an appointment, and worked me in within a couple of days of getting in touch. Score one for being able to text and set something up.
Pull up to the salon and walk in, the front desk person didn’t really have much info for me but I figured I wasn’t there to see her anyway. Brittany had a client in the chair already who was clearly being fussy and taking up additional time for some issue she was creating. This was only obvious because the client was audibly being a pill, and Brittany was politely accommodating while watching the clock; She made a point to come over and introduce herself and apologize for running behind. Customer service is a lost art in this country but she was on it!
She was very upfront and honest about what the healthiest options would be following my years of punishing my hair. She snagged me a beverage, and it was mercifully NOT the dreaded «small talk with the hair stylist» that has often kept me out of a salon chair. Brittany is funny, smart, and clearly is in her element doing color and cuts. It was like getting my hair done in my girlfriend’s kitchen, in the sense that it was comfortable, fun, and I was surprised by how quickly everything went. Her rates were more than fair, and I felt it appropriate to tip extra because she showed me how to do the amazing Laverne Cox curls that I’ve coveted for so long. My red also held up longer than any other red I’ve had.
I can’t speak to any of the other services, the new location is cute and clean. But if you can schedule with Brittany, you’ll enjoy your time in the chair! and look smokin!

I’ve been here for waxing and a facial.
For waxing, Rose is fantastic. She is quick, efficient and very thorough. I will go back to her and recommend her if anyone asks me about brow or bikini waxing.
I had Kariss for a collagen facial, and she was great. It was probably the best facial I’ve bad as she really massaged my face while using the products. I always feel that spas try to push their skincare lines and this is NOT the case at Athena. Maybe its because they don’t have a line (I don’t think?) but it was nice to not have that pressure.
The scalp massage was super relaxing and she took her time and did my neck and shoulders too. I had a migraine at the time and she went out of her way to try to help.
If you go, Rose for waxing and Kariss for facials. You can’t go wrong!

Got my hair cut here and had terrible results. This was my first and last experience at Athena Day Spa. I honestly don’t remember the stylist’s name, but she damaged my hair so badly I feel I have to warn others. She talked non-​stop, seemed distracted, and also seemed determined to sell me on a Brazilian blowout. I had a ‘deep conditioning’ treatment before my cut, which left me sitting under a VERY hot heater for much longer than I think was necessary. My hair felt fried. I’ve never had a hairdresser do this before: after the conditioning treatment, she BRUSHED my hair very roughly while it was still wet. I could literally hear and feel my hair breaking. I’m not sure if she had an agenda to sell me on the brazilian blowout, but by the time she was done with my hair, it was a decent cut, but the next day it was clear my hair was badly broken/​damaged and the frizz levels went through the roof. Never again.

It’s a cute little spa. I had a pedicure done by Regina. She was able to do myself and my grandma at the same time in an hour which was great. My only complaint is that the two girls in the front area when we arrived were complaining the entire time we waited for Regina. Making rude comments about a customer that was running late. I’m glad it wasn’t me but this is so unprofessional and made me really uncomfortable. It was also weird that we had to walk through the hair salon to get to the nail room.
I get a pedi every 2 weeks and well I guess I’m just used to better service. For $ 40 a pedicure I sort of expected more. Oh well. I was visiting and it was good for my trip.

My daughter bought me a pedicure for Christmas. Paid in advance and was told they couldn’t give her a receipt because they’re computer is not set-​up to issue receipts if you pay cash in advance because most people pay at the time of service? They sent her out the door with nothing in hand, naturally, happily taking her cash. We went in and had our pedicures and after we left she asked me what was different about our pedicures– nothing, I replied. She said something should be different because she paid more for mine than her own. I called them and they told me «their records show she paid the same for both» and what did her receipt say? I explained that they told her they couldn’t give her a receipt because it was paid cash in advance. They acted dumbfounded by that response. All they had to do was check the books and verify their register was 15 over they day she paid for the pedicures, but they didn’t seem interested in checking the books which tells me somebody saw an opportunity to take advantage of a young, inexperienced kid and did so. Add to it my toe nails aren’t even and my consultant booked somebody else for nails during my appointment and then was in a rush to get through my pedicure– then she had the nerve to give me her personal business card– sounds like trying to poach the businesses customers to me. Poorly managed company with zero concern for customer service. They’ve lost my business having taken advantage of my daughter’s trusting nature. I will say the gal that did my daughter’s pedicure did a nice job– she did seem invested in the appointment.
If I could give zero stars, I would.

I went in for a rehydrating pedicure and while everything was clean and richly decorated, only the tops of my lower legs were getting any of the treatments. That being said, I was treated to a hot foot soak in a pretty metal tub with hot rocks at the bottom. Then my lower legs were slathered in lotion and my nail lady, Regina, took two hot stones and rubbed them over the lotion. It felt so relaxing (I’m assuming the heat allows the lotion to penetrate the skin deeper). Then I chose a mint foot mask that was very sparsely painted on my feet and wrapped in Ziploc bags for about 5 minutes. As for my manicure, I was given sugar scrub to use on my hands and arms, it smelled yummy and left my skin silky soft.
She did a great job on my nails — they are glossy and gorgeous! The pedicure chair was so huge and luxurious, I was offered hot tea in a pretty mug. The color choices for nails were basic — reds, pinks were 99% of the colors. They carry Opi, China Glaze, some Sinful Colors (1.99 in a store), Essie and VinylLux. The outside of the building is unassuming and shares a front entrance hall with some dental offices.

My daughter had given me «Spa Day» at Athena, and I have to say it was wonderful. I switched from acrylic nails to the new gel nails, and they look great. And my feet have never felt better after my pedicure. It was so nice to try some different things, like the hot stones on my feet after the girl did my pedicure, and she massage just the right pressure points, it was amazing. The body massage was dreamy, and I felt like I floated out of the place! I can’t say enough about the friendly service, the nice conversation I had with the manicurist, and how comfortable I felt. I would recommend Athena to anyone!

All I have to say is EWW! I was excited to get a pedicure here from the way they word the different pedicures on their website. My coworker treated me to a pedi and they only had one nail tech which we didn’t know about or were told our services would be by the same tech. The worst part about it is the tech never washed her hands before switching between me or my coworkers feet! And was double dipping in her jar of foot mask instead of scooping it out. The total service cost for both pedis came to $ 80.00 I felt it was a waste of money. Not going back! Too high of a risk for cross contamination or getting a fungus. I would rather go to a chop shop at least they have some cleaning standards. 0 stars. :-(
