I received excellent service from this business! I got my TV back the next day and it worked –good as new! Customer service is 5 stars and service cost is very reasonably priced. They even added an adaptor so I can’t (hopefully) break my TV again. I highly recommend for your electronic repairs!

They recently repaired my JVC 47 inch TV and were extremely helpful. They helped me remove the mainboard over the phone. I brought it to them and they repaired it in two days. Works like new for $ 80!

Ableman’s service is outstanding! I first spoke on the phone with Gordon when I was trying to find a TV repair shop in Portland, and discovered to my dismay they basically don’t exist! He was very helpful and I decided to make the trip up to Vancouver. So glad I did, as my problem with the antenna hookup on my older Toshiba TV was resolved quickly, professionally, and inexpensively while I waited. They are very knowledgeable and super nice guys. Highly recommend!

So I haven’t technically bought anything from them, but they helped me troubleshoot my TV over email and then directed me to another seller for the parts I needed!
I reached out to them because of a part swap program that they’re running through eBay. Instead of selling me the part I asked them about, they helped me troubleshoot the tv by giving me advice via email, got me to the issue that the local guy never found after keeping the tv for 2 months and then pointed me to another eBay seller for the part I needed! Exceptional service and integrity. Highly recommend reaching to them!

FANTASTIC!!! I brought my flat screen in because the cable hook up in the back got ripped off. I was sure I would be buying a new TV but decided. why not see if it could be repaired and save a few bucks? I was AMAZED at the level of service. He must have noticed that confused look on my face because he stopped talking in tech language and explained in regular terms, what the problem was and then FIXED my problem. I so appreciated the time he took to speak in terms I understood. They are an asset to the neighborhood and I am lucky enough to have them just a few blocks away. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Great company for getting TV’s or computer monitors repaired. Very nice people, knowledgeable, great customer service. I definitely recommend them.

I’ve been coming here for four years to periodically replace the lamps on my rear projection TV. He is always totally fair-​dealing regarding the lamp warranty: provided you bring it in and let him install the light into the little light box, the work is good for year. He keeps the records on file and honored my warranty after 11 months even when I didn’t have the paperwork. Honest and highly skilled business.

I bought an LCD TV for $ 250 on Craigslist for the first time, and was scammed. When I turned on the TV, it had major distortion. Feeling defeated after trying some solutions myself, I decided to go to Unilocal to find a repair shop. I saw the positive reviews for Ableman, and gave them a call. I echo the super positive reviews, and it was sooooo worth the drive from Portland to Vancouver!
I called ahead and explained my issue, and Rex said to bring it on in. After Rex and Gordon gave me a quick run-​down of how the back panel works and where the problem likely would be, I left it there for diagnostics and was told I’d get a call in 2 – 3 days about what they found. I was expecting bad news.
Well, that evening I got a call from them that my TV was ready — it had been a minor cable housing issue that they had fixed in a jiffy. I picked it up the next day, and I only owed them the (very fair) diagnostic fee! Needless to say, I am recommending this place to all my friends, and now you Unilocalers. What a wonderful experience all-​around. Thank you Ableman for giving me a happy ending to my C-​list nightmare.

Great customer service very knowledgeable I called and he helped me troubleshoot my tv over the phone first and was very nice come to find out it was a defective lamp so I brought the old lamp back in he swapped it out for a new one because it was still under warranty and that was it :-D

I had taken my TV to a different shop because it had lost the picture. After 1 ½ weeks, the first shop hadn’t even looked at it or assigned it to a technician. I found out later that the company has been sold and they are closing the shop and all of the staff is being laid off. Not conducive to good service or friendly service.
I picked up my TV and took it to Ableman’s. The owner looked at it and said that he couldn’t fix it because he couldn’t get parts. He didn’t charge me and I left the TV for them to dispose of. I planned to buy another TV.
The owner called me the next morning and asked if i had bought another TV. I said no. He said that he had been able to fix it. He only charged me $ 75.00.

My 6 year old LG Plasma suddenly went blank. I had a TV repair place come out, I think it was Wolf’s? That cost me $ 85 for them to tell me it was a y-​sus board and it would run me close to $ 500 to repair it. You can buy a new TV for $ 500 these days. I put the TV on Craigslist for $ 100, Abelman said they would give me $ 50. so I hauled the TV over to them and when I got there they said I might as well have them look at the board and see if they could repair it, not replace it. Long story short, they actually repaired the board for $ 250 and now I have a new TV again. If you have a problem with your TV see if they can fix it before you spend the money on a new one. Good guys.

Outstanding Service! I tried to fix my TV myself = mistake, I think I made it worse. I called Ableman and the man who answered the phone was bale answer my questions, diagnose my problem and help me. I could not be more pleased with their service. Thank you!

If you need a TV repaired, this is the place to go. My husband has used their services many times and they recently referred us to someone who could when it was out of their reach, and it was perfect. They also offer many wonderful services like Roku and such.

I have to say, one of the best customer experiences I have seen. called on a sunday-​football day, talked to the owner, he opened his store for me to buy a replacement lamp for my TV. He checked his stock & called me back & said if you can get here soon I have your lamp, I live in NE Portland. MY wife & I jammed up to Vancouver & met him @ his business, not only did he take care of my need on a sunday, his water heater went out & was searching for a part. My problem was for less significant than his, but he still made time to win a customer for life!!!

I couldn’t be happier with Ableman.
I assumed it would be cheaper and easier to just replace my 4 year old tv when it died. I was wrong.
I gave Ableman TV a call and told them what I had. He told me what I could expect to pay and said I could bring it in right away. I drove over and took it inside. 30 minutes later, I walked out with my TV fixed for a *lot* less than I expected.
These guys are the real deal. They know what they’re doing and are fair and upstanding in business. Qualities I thought had left the electronics repair business decades ago.
