Went in to get a GTI and, not only were they accommodating, they really really went above and beyond to make me drive away from a difficult situation in the right vehicle for my needs. I’d recommend time and time again cause Truman really kicked ass and was communicative even when I had to step away from the dealer. Thanks Van Nuys!

Overall I had a great experience. From the time I walked the lot and was asked if I had any questions to the end of signing all papers I did not feel pressured at any point. Sam (my salesman) was awesome and answered all of my questions and found me the car I wanted. Truman and Sven were easy to work with during the negotiation process and got me approved and an acceptable monthly payment on the second try. When it came time to complete the paperwork, Ash succeeded in getting me a lower interest rate/​lower payment. I would recommend anyone come here for their next new VW purchase.

I normally hate walking into dealerships because all of the salesman usually watch your every move and interact with you as if there is no intention of making a personal connection. With the help of Sam and Truman, I didn’t feel as if they just wanted my money. They both took the time to listen to what we were looking for as well as what our goals were in the finance department. We previously went to a dealership before this and no one seemed even interested in helping us at all so it was refreshing. Truman and Sven streamlined the negotiation process making it somewhat fast and Ash helped us secure an even lower interest rate.
I was overall pleased by the whole experience. I may even return for another car in the future. :)

Took a promotion to move to the area from NYC. I had a lot of things to do and I didn’t want to waste my time going from dealer to dealer, especially since I didn’t have a car, nor any friends to drive me around in the LA area.
I did my research and decided on getting a V-​dub. I contacted VW Van Nuys and was fortunate to speak with the internet sales manager, Artem Dasov. Since I wasn’t in the area to look at the car, Artem was extremely helpful in finding a car for me that met my criteria. He took several pictures, and maintained correspondence with me. Being from NYC, I never needed a car and was always skeptical about dealing with salesman. Artem was a breath of fresh air. He wasn’t pushy, cheesy, or any other adjectives used to describe salesman. He took a very soft consultative approach and really helped me find the car I was looking for.
When I landed in LAX, I went straight to the dealership and was beyond happy with the car we had chosen. The pictures Artem sent to me didn’t do it justice. It was better than I expected. I love my new car. Artem also followed up with me a few days after I took the car off the lot to see if I was having any issues or had any questions. I really appreciated that.
I’ve often heard horror stories when trying to acquire a vehicle, but my experience couldn’t have been more pleasant.
I see myself continuing doing business with VW of Van Nuys, simply because Artem Dasov.

When the deal I wanted was not working out, Maria from sales reached out in attempt to make things right for me.
She was very honest and personable and took all of my personal requests and needs into consideration. She worked very hard for me to get the deal I wanted.
Maria worked very hard with her managers to set me up with a fantastic deal over the phone, I couldn’t ask for a better deal!
When I came in to sign papers the next morning, Maria and Ash worked together to finalize everything for me and do absolutely everything they could do to have me leave with a new car!

What happened to this place!!? I used to be a loyal customer to this dealership, but they lost my business and Volkswagen has lost my business as well.
I have leased 2 Jettas from Volkswagen of van nuys. In the past when I would come over to make a deal, I felt very comfortable and taken care of at this dealership. What I experienced last night was disgusting.
I called in in advance to make an appointment to replace my 2013 Jetta that I leased with 3 months remaining with van nuys to upgrade to a a 2016 GTI.
James called me a few weeks ago and we talked about making a deal at a certain price, he reassured me it was very possible to come close to my asking price. James was not around when I called back, so I spoke with someone named Maria. Over the phone she was so sweet and also told me that I could get a GTI for the same price I am paying now, considering that I am over paying for my basic Jetta.
I was also told my James and Maria that my car was be valued and they would give me a buyback offer or waive my remaining payments.
When I arrived to the dealership Maria was unavailable and set me up with her partner manny. Manny was very nice and help d me pick a car. Manny also told me that my raining balance on my previous car would be waived if I get a new lease.
When it came down to getting the numbers, the offer they wrote up for me was absolute rip off, so far from my budget, and they would not forgive my remaining balance.
When I spoke on the phone everyone told me that they would be able to waive my negative equity after looking at my car. They wouldn’t even look at my car and give an estimate, they just refused to make a deal and gave me a price that was far from my budget.
They should be ashamed for selling their cars at such a high rate. It’s a Volkswagen not a Mercedes. They also tried to convince me that their Volkswagen was better than a Lexus or Mercedes. A sports car should not be more expensive than a luxury car with a higher ticket price.
LIARS. Poor management. Poor customer service.
I will be making a complaint to Volkswagen USA cooperation about this dealership.

I purchased a Golf R at sticker when other dealer’s wanted a mark up because the car is rare. The salesman, Hamid, was really cool and not pushy like other salesmen. He also called me a couple times later to make sure everything was ok which was really nice of him to do when he already made the sale and really didn’t have to follow up. I will go back to him when I’m ready for another car.

We had a nice sells person and we got the brand new shiny GTI but the fun ended next day. Trunk stopped opening, back up camera as well and dashboard electronics went out. Dropped off the car for service. There was only one guy who actually helped me and was busy doing his job. I was standing there for 10 minutes watching service manager chatting up with some people about housing market and woman behind the desk too busy cause she’s looking at her Facebook photos and didn’t even try to hide it.
Nobody called me all day with an update so I did and after rude Facebook woman on the phone transferred me where I needed to I found out that some parts come next day and some next week but nobody knows exactly when. We were promised a loaner car so when I came and asked for it the creepy freak of a service manager who’s also a close talker gets in my face and almost yelling at me announces that there is no freebies and never was. I really wanted to punch that jumpy rude creep but I kept it cool. After major drama I got the loaner (but he threatened it was only this time) and now hoping for the best. Worst service I have ever taken a car to. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Seriously

I have always had exceptional service at this dealership. I recently traded in a car and purchased a new vehicle. Ibrahim and Bob took such good care of me. The process was fast and I didn’t have the usual headache car shopping leaves me with. Finance went smoothly and I was out under 3 hours from start to finish. I didn’t feel like anyone was trying to play games, everyone was very up front and professional. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership and I would not hesitate to purchase again, which is more than I can say for some other local dealerships I have dealt with.

This is hands down, the worst VW dealership I have ever experienced. They are a business that has the absolute worst customer service and only operates on making a PROFIT.
I purchased my car 4 months ago. The day after, it was showing computer issues. I took my car back (30 miles from home) and they claimed to have fixed the issue. I find out later on that computer issues on a 2013 Passat SE means the dealer should send the car into the factory and have a new computer installed. Did they even offer this? No, instead they told me they «fixed it».temporarily
A month later, my battery dies and I had to jump my car at least 6 times. I call Roadside Assistance and they came and told me the battery isn’t the issue, it was a computer issue. I took it into my mechanic and he said the same exact thing. With my car being a Certified Pre-​Owned, I believed my warranty would cover the issue and it wouldn’t be hard to get the proper assistance.
I make an appointment and drive an hour to have them take a look at it. I told them the advise that my mechanic and the VW Roadside Assistance told me. Without even looking at my car, they immediately said that was not a possibility. How was it not possible without looking at my car? They told me I had to buy a new battery (on a 3 year old car) which cost me $ 150 and the dealership pennies on the dollar. Profit of $ 120? Hm why wouldn’t you look at an issue that I brought to your attention? Because it would cost the company money to fix it?
Sven, the manager, treated me so poorly. He told me that if there was a trust issue he wouldn’t want my business instead of just taking care of me. He also told me that I could have a Loaner car and once I was there it was $ 35 a day for that too. I took my car back home and to another VW dealership.
DO NOT GO TO VolksWagon of Van Nuys!!!

Great guys, great fast service. They are always able to fit me in and with their shuttle service I can wait at home for the longer service times. I trust them to catch even the smallest issue with my Jetta.

I have nothing but positive opinions of this place. Ash and James are straight shooters. Made our experience super smooth. I’ll never buy another VW from anyone else. Solid dudes. Thank you guys. Appreciate your good work.

Great friendly service. And the shuttle to bring you to and from home during your repairs? WONDERFUL. Saved so much time and money. They were great.

100% unimpressed with the service at this dealership. I discovered chipped paint on my door’s inside panel the day I drove it home from the dealer. They «fixed» it once, but the paint is still chipped. I’ve been back since the management changed, but the service department must not be under that umbrella– because NOTHING had changed there. Don’t buy here, don’t service here, don’t come here. Period.

Great Sales team. Great price. Sven and Manny are the best. However, it took WAY too long to get into Finance… and the woman there was an absolute MESS. She was not only rude, saying:“I am as FRUSTRATED as you are” when I mentioned having a question on the finance contract. She said ‘we never do one-​pay leases. I don’t know what to do.” That is not what I should be hearing when I’m in finance… Had to call the other manager in. This lady was a HUGE disappointment. So much that I would be willing to give them 0 stars and not get the car… but the deal was too good to pass on, and Manny and Sven really saved the deal.

I’d love nothing more than to debunk stereotypes, but when it comes to the sales reps at this dealership, sadly I cannot.
To start with, the salesman I got saddled with (who just happened to answer the phone when I first called) struggled to keep up throughout the entire purchasing process, constantly mis-​relaying information from his more experienced colleagues that he clearly didn’t have a strong grasp over to begin with. At one point, he even confessed that he didn’t really understand «the car game» very well. Hmm. Real neat.
After all was said and done and the papers were signed, I honestly have as much of a clue of what his function actually was as he did over how to sell a car. I came in fully prepared and researched so that in the end his role was purely redundant.
Now, after doing all of the salesman’s work for him is when the real trouble started.
I was initially all set to finance the vehicle, however, after dealing with the extremely manipulative finance guy (who I’m shocked to learn has since left this location — and hopefully the business altogether) placed undue pressure on me to commit to terms before even quoting me a final price.
Let me rephrase that so it’s clear.
This guy wanted me to sign a binding contract that stated I would purchase the car that day, before he would quote me a final sales price, which included month payments, fees and interest. This is unheard of. So I walked away.
Within 10 minutes of leaving the lot, I was contacted with an apology and a promise that I wouldn’t need to sign anything until all numbers were hammered out. I was also told that the finance guy was way out of line and that that was not the way they conducted business. Mmhmm.
After that ridiculous experience, I decided to ask relatives for a loan which would allow me to purchase the car with cash instead of having to deal with that finance cretin. This, however, didn’t go over well with the sales manager who basically said that if I didn’t finance the car and pay some interest, he wouldn’t get a commission. This, of course, is not my concern. So again, I walked away.
And again, I was contacted mere minutes after leaving the lot and promised another deal that would benefit all parties.
In the end, I was able to get the car I wanted (for less than I was willing to pay), but setting aside the seemingly (at least in my eyes) unethical deal the sales manager laid out that would get him his commission and me the car for a good price, the entire experience with these people has been anything but smooth sailing and I would recommend that a prospective buyer look elsewhere for a car.

The repair center is absolutely superb! I had to go in for a repair/​recall and was followed up with by the mgt to ensure my experience was good. Felt taken care of, knowledgeable and comfortable with an experience always filled with anxiety.
Second time I went in for a minor adjustment on my Jetta, again, was listened to and my concerns immediately addressed as well as education in a respectful way in avoiding this situation again.

I had originally reviewed Volkswagon of Van Nuys after my initial purchase of my vehicle. I felt that the initial service exceeded my expectations. However, I am not changed my review because follow through is important. It not about just getting a customer, and closing a deal; it’s about following through to make sure everything is taken care of.
I purchased my vehicle in October 2015. The sales representative and the sales manager stated everything would be taken care of in regards to trading my 2014 Volkswagon Jetta that was leased from Gaplin Volkswagon. I purchased a wear and tear warranty with this vehicle so it could cover any damages. The dealer stated my damages were minor and there would NOT be an issue. The warranty covered up to $ 10,000.00.
In late November, I received a bill for $ 65.00 or damages on my trade in. Confused I sent the information to my sales representative, with a reply she would take care of it. Immediately I trusted she would be I thought my initial deal went smooth.
In December, I received another bill for the same amount. The next day, I received a bill from Toll Roads, stating my license plate was picked up driving on Toll Road (The freeway express lane). The bill was for $ 12.00.
Once again my sales representative was contacted, and she said she would take care of it. She did in fact send me the documents she faxed to Toll Roads and a Release of Liability that was done with the DMV.
I do want to point out that the date this release was completed was 12/​04/​2015. The turn it date was noted for 10/​11/​2015. However, 2 months before DMV was properly notified?
On Monday 12/​14/​2015, I received another bill for Volkswagon. This time stated that if I did not pay the $ 65.00 due, that it would be sent to collections and reported to the credit bureau.
Frustrated I contacted my sales representative. With no response, I went to the sale manager. After being on hold for 20 minutes, I hung up to call back to say he «just left»
I spoke to another sales manager Ash. Ash said he would look into, and call me back. At this point I contact Volkwagon credit about the bill. They stated they would have it waived. If the dealer could not do it then they should have communicated with me, so I would have known what I needed to do.
Because of this I decided to contact the Toll Roads. And guess what?! They never received anything about the Release of Liability. So now $ 12.00 is going to turn into $ 112.00. Once again Ash stated he would take care of it and call me back that day. Did he call me back? No. I called him at 6pm that day and got a «Oh I was just going to call you». Okay, maybe that was true. He stated she was going to take care of everything with the business office and give me a call back the next day to confirm and also send me an email with a document in writing. Have a received that. NO.
At this point, I have contacted the General Manager Billy twice, and have not heard back.
This should not be my headache. And because perfect credit is on the line it is. Surprisingly in one phone discussion it was stated «Oh, it’s just $ 12.00» Yes it is just $ 12.00 but it is the fact of the matter. Then Ash who I spoke with can take out his credit card and make the payment. It is the horrible follow through. It is the horrible communication.
Apparently, the receptionist can NOT give me the General Managers email. So I will take to Unilocal.Because Volkswagon of Van Nuys was committed to working on their negative reviews. At first they did get a positive on for me, but because of the lack of follow through, this is where I stand.

We decided it was time to replace my wife’s aging car, and she had her eye on the 2016 Jetta. So we went to VW of Van Nuys.
I have to say, I’ve purchased a lot of cars, and this one was by far the fastest purchase I’ve ever done. I got an amazing deal on the car, and was in and out in about 1.5 hours (including test drive and paperwork).
These guys operate like a well oiled machine. They work efficiently, and are always one step ahead. Abe was the gentleman I worked with, and he was a pleasure all around: pleasant, very friendly, and, most of all, not at all pushy!
I had spoken with them before, and agreed on some numbers, and I got exactly the deal I negotiated, no questions asked.
After the purchase was completed, I met Alex, the service department manager, he was also just as courteous, and friendly as Abe. He walked us through the service department, and gave us information on how things work when we do bring in the car for maintenance.
Over all, it was a great experience, both my wife and I have no complaints, and she is in love with her brand spankin’ new Jetta 1.8T SEL!
Will definitely go back there!

Came in with a quick fixer, my door kept making this sound every time it would open, as if a bolt was loose. I believe his name was Mike or Brian (sorry), but he grabbed my keys and said give me a second. Sat in my car, looked around and said, we will get your plates on too!
Came back 10 – 15 minutes later and asked if I need anything else. Handed me my keys and sent me off. The service was quick and headache less! Will definitely be coming back here more often! Thanks you for everything
