Verizon Wireless – Wireless Plus

I’ve been to this store many times. I know lots of people who have had a similar experiences. And I have now had enough.
Taylor, who is apparently the manager, has a foul attitude — literally rolling her eyes and sighing when asked to explain something. She is completely unable to answer questions in a logical manner, consistently providing fragmented information. I left the store with an agreement that did not reflect charges that were added to my account. I spent an hour at this store asking different questions, none of which were answered accurately.
The next day, I got on the phone with a Verizon rep who explained everything to me in about 10 minutes and took off the unauthorized additions to my plan.
Steer clear of this store. They convolute the process far passed the average headache. Taylor, an incompetent manager with an attitude, has no talent in or understanding of customer service.

Only choosing 1 star because I cannot choose 0 stars. This is a franchised location (privately owned). Horrible owner, at least one terrible sales associate. I stopped in to reactivate an old phone (my son’s phone was broken at school). I was reactivating a perfectly good older, basic phone. The sales associate broke the phone as she was trying to reactivate it. She managed to reactivate the phone but the phone would not stay together. I asked for a replacement basic phone. They refused. I asked she and the owner take responsibility for breaking the phone — no responsibility taken. The owner told me my choice was to not have the phone reactivated or have it reactivated but broken. I told them I choose to have an activated phone that is not broken. I was told they could do nothing to help me. I took the phone home, my son called me, I could not hear him. I took the phone back to make sure it wasn’t a setting issue. Nope. Seems the sales associate severed a connection to the microphone while trying to «fix» what she had originally broke. Again, I asked for a basic replacement phone. I was told I could buy one for $ 60! Unbelievable! Made a complaint to corporate. Oh — when I asked the sales associate for the owner/manager’s name, she only gave me his first name. After I asked three times for his last name, the associate told me she could not give out that information. GO TO A DIFFERENT VERIZON LOCATION!!! Corporate is looking into the owner at this location. I URGE anyone with a complaint about this Verizon location to call the 800 customer service number: 1−800−9223−0204.
Oh! After the phone was broken, the first response I received from the owner/​manager was «just buy a new phone». ARGH!

I can’t say anything is done right at this location.
I have a warranty purchased on my phone and they were not willing to honor the warranty because it was purchased in washington. I had to buy a new phone in full as my only option. I got a cheap one until I was eligible for an update in a month. My wife went in to purchase me a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge in cash for our anniversary and they wouldn’t let her just buy the phone without putting it onto a plan. They forced her to leave without a phone. She bought it somewhere else and when I went in to get it turned on they wouldn’t return the phone that I had used for a week due to it was the last one available.
They force you into buying the most expensive options available!

I really wish I checked Unilocal before I went to this place. I went to finally upgrade my phone, was falsely advertised a core prime, told that it was just like a «mini galaxy s5.» Took it home and it’s a piece a crap. A phone that maybe my grandma would use. Long story short they wouldn’t recognize their error. I had to spend 3 hours on the phone with Verizon to rectify a easily avoidable mistake. I still can’t get a new phone for a few months and stuck with this POS.

I went in to ask a question about my bill and was talked into a phone upgrade. No problem the associate said I qualified for the discount. He told me nothing else will change on my bill. I got my new bill and it was $ 1300 higher. I called CS only to find out the plan that I used to have no longer exists. This is the worst Customer Service experience I have ever had in my life. Stay away and be careful of this store.

You go to a Sprint store in Encino to talk about getting new phones and possibly knocking your Sprint bill down a little with a different plan. The store is virtually empty, but you’re told to put your name on a list, sit down, and wait your turn. (Seriously, it was «sit down» — not «why don’t you have a look around in the meantime» or «feel free to play with the phones on display.») Employees who look like models are all bustling around doing things that don’t involve helping customers. People who walk in after you get help — rich Valley housewives; fat guys driving ’round in jeeps through the city wearing big diamond rings and silk suits. Okay not really the silk suits part. But everything else.
After a while of this, you walk out, drive about three miles, and see if you can get anyone from Verizon to care. In contrast to Sprint, you meet three people who are actually happy to help you.
Prior to our visit we’d spoken to customer service reps from the major cell carriers and knew that Verizon would be a bit pricier than what we were paying before. However, the employees helped us pick a plan that was ultimately more or less the same, if not $ 5 – 10 less, and included two new phones. I’ve been phone/​plan shopping on and off for two months, and I have to say, I wasn’t totally prepared to buy. However, being the only people in the store, getting three employees’ attention, and generally feeling like it was really important to them that we be happy with our plan put me in a buying mood. It was also kinda cute how proud they were of Verizon’s coverage in our area.
Being noobs, we had a lot of questions. So. Many. Questions. All three of the people working knew their stuff. If anything, things were overexplained (the $ 35 restocking fee if we changed our mind about the phones was pointed out no less than five times). They suggested a tempered glass screen for the phones — a good idea, since between my husband and I we’ve broken three screens — but we were inclined to pass and buy them cheaper online. But they gave us a good deal and then Ernesto installed them for us, painstakingly. He even set up our work email accounts on both phones, which saved me so much aggravation.
One thing I noticed about the other reviews: they act outraged that a business needs to make money. A business is not a charity. It is not their fault that a part you bought had a manufacturing flaw, so it’s not required that they take a loss on it. Is it nice when a retailer deals with that for you? Absolutely. And they should. But not all retailers are empowered to do that by the manufacturers. Store-​level management are even less empowered.

IF YOU HAVE AN IPHONE 5 OR 6 DO NOT COME HERE.
This place ONLY sells third party accessories for Verizon phones. They are not an official retailer. iPhone 5 and up models require a lightning cable that has a chip specially embedded inside. The cables sold at this store are NOT OFFICIALLY LICENSED by apple or Verizon so they will stop working after a while.
Also these crooks tried to charge me $ 30 for a knockoff fake lightning cable when you can get the official one from Verizon for the same price and with warranty. Go to an official Verizon store, avoid this one.

I was in the store last week or so to upgrade from my LG smartphone and wanted to know what my options were. Helen took care of me for the entire hour or so and was nothing less than extremely cordial, professional and respectful, especially of my inability to grasp certain concepts when it comes to phone plans, features, etc. She wrote up an entire feature by feature aspect and what a new plan would cost me compared to what i’ve been paying and used several phones as the reference points. She reviewed everything as often as i asked her to and i never felt like she was placating me because of my age [senior] and inability to grasp certain things first time around. Overall, the experience was a very good one and i came away happy with my upgrade to samsung s5 and with insurance[which i hadn’t had before] and my new phone, she brought me in for $ 10. less total than i’ve been paying for last two years. I would recommend anyone and everyone to stop by and ask for Helen — she made it well worth my time, energy and money! :)

This place is a gyp, con joint! Went for free upgrade (choke on that) time they got done with us it cost $ 262.99 but with a $ 100.00 credit on the bill which Helen did get done 4 mos later, also $ 100.00 gift card we never received. went back to Helen re: this I think she knew there was no way but re-​submitted the information. Got a card in the mail too late now for the $ 100.00 dollar gift card. I honestly think Helen tried initially but blew us off at the end. Place really sucks bad! Unfortunatly we will quite likely leave Verizon now, too many options out there now for less money and perhaps a bit of customer care also. Stay away from this joint!!!

I went in today to get a new phone charger because the one that I bought from Verizon just a few months ago broke and it has a one year warranty on it. The two people working there said there was nothing they could do to help me… they were unwilling to honor the warranty and exchange my charger or give me a new one. They told me to call the manufacturer and I explained that that would take too much time and that I needed a phone charger today. Their suggestion… buy a new one.

These people are literally just in the business of taking your money… do not waste your time here.

Came here the other day to get a new iPhone, overall the experience was enjoyable. The sales staff was very knowledgable and helpful through the whole transaction. I had two people help me, a young guy name Ernesto and Helena. I felt they were both very attentive and gave good customer service. I was in a rush to come in and get a new phone (being phone less is so inconvenient), so I really appreciated the promptness. the only negative thing I would say about this store is the location, it’s a little out of my way– but I would definitely come back again.

WIRELESS PLUS is a TERRIBLE! AVOID!
The purchase began at the Studio City store where a sales person misinformed me about a new iPhone purchase. i went in on a Tuesday with a promise the phone would be available by Saturday. By Saturday — No such luck. Called the Van Nuys store to see if they had a phone and if they would work with my order and they said they could. Drove there to be told it would have to be taken care of Monday but «don’t worry». Helena had my number and promised that with the delay I would get a discount on a case. Arrived after work on Monday and instantly was told that there was nothing they could do and i would have to continue to wait for my phone to be delivered. I demanded a refund. The manager was completely unhelpful and walked outside on his phone while Helena tried to manage a refund on the computer. She fumbled about for several minutes and I had to return to the Studio City store to process it. (I still don’t know if I have a credit yet). Helena initiated the tangled up mess and had no explanation why she even thought she could be helpful.
I drove down the street to A REAL VERIZON STORE and got the same phone $ 100.00 CHEAPER and had it set up and ready to go in less than 20 mins!

In a day where customer service seem to be a thing of the past, a visit to this Verizon store is all the more appreciated. You won’t find a more courteous, knowledgeable and helpful staff anywhere — especially in the cell phone category (which certainly has more than its fair share of grumpy customers AND employees).
I have been coming here for several years as our family has grown, and the helpful team always recommends the most cost-​efficient plan, and doesn’t try to over-​sell you on devices. A++ all around. Worth a drive even if you have a Verizon store near you.

Kudos to Helen and Ernesto for working at this store, they are very patient with the horrible Verizon computer systems but know exactly what they are doing. I picked up my new Galaxy S5 last weekend and I love it. My boyfriend’s iPhone C 32 took a few days but they made sure to let us know when it came in and again dealt with the crappy computer system. I highly recommend this store over the one on Ventura in Sherman Oaks, they may be nice but they do not have the knowledge level of Helen and Ernesto! Happy Customers!

I’ve been coming to this store since the 24 hour gym was across the street. The gym is gone but I still patron this verizon store for all my Verizon needs. They are a breath of fresh air from the big Verizon store on Roscoe, that makes you take a number and wait while 10 of their employees twiddle their thumbs and ignore you until your number is called. I’ve had zero complaints about my Verizon service since I’ve been coming here. All of my phones are from here and I’ve recently given them my business when switching my company to Verizon. Efficient and consistent with excellent service and Information. As someone that is on the go all day, I appreciate the service from this store. Kudos to the employees.

Don’t go here. You’ll be sorry. Go to a real Verizon Store.

Very similar experience to the one Jan described. Bought a new car charger and fresh out of the package, it’s broken. So, I bring it in. No, they won’t credit my charge card back and no, they won’t exchange it for the same thing. They’ve referred me to the manufacturers warranty. The sales guy had to call the manager — a real brain surgeon named Helen who’s about as un-​customer friendly as any manager could ever be – and she told him to basically not help me at all… and that she didn’t want to be bothered again for the rest of the night.
So, it’s now officially MY problem and I’m going to call the manufacturer tomorrow when they open and delve into this. But, here’s the kicker… I don’t have a receipt. You see, when I bought the thing on Sunday, their printer wasn’t working. So, I couldn’t get a receipt. No big deal, I thought. But, I have this sneaking suspicion that tomorrow when I call the manufacturer that the first thing they’ll tell me to mail in is the receipt and the bad equipment. Again, this is all irritating — why do I have to do all this?
If this fails, I’ll dispute the charge on my credit card and we’ll go from there.
Anyway, go ANYWHERE ELSE to buy your phones or your phone supplies. This is not a helpful store. They’re not in business to help people who come in off the street. The people working in the store were nice enough but clearly they are terrorized by this Helen woman who demanded to be left alone.
Never going back again… except for my $ 38 which I will somehow get back.

I went in there last night to purchase a new wall charger for my Blackberry Storm because the one I got when I purchased my BB about a month ago, broke — as in defective product broke. The sweet young (stupid) thing working there told me she couldn’t just replace it because they would consider the old one as damaged (meaning I broke it). Ok, so rather than argue with her, I said I’ll just purchase a new one. Guess what? She went in back, came out and said they were out of them. New product and they’re out of the chargers. Totally annoying. Since my phone just died, I had no choice but to purchase a car charger for it. As I’m writing my check (waiting for a new debit card to arrive), she tells me they no longer accept checks there. WHAT? Since when does Verizon not accept checks? I guess they’d rather pay merchant fees, but whatever. I just left very unhappy and my phone is still dead. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing or asking for help at this Verizon store.
