FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!!
If I had the ability to give 0 stars to this place I would. Also if i could copy and paste the other reviewers stories on here it would be the same as mine.
Had blood drawn on behalf of my Health Insurance Covered Allergist. Knowing my insurance details, he requested the blood work from another clinic that WAS covered by my insurance, billed properly, and insurance paid the claim.
Fast forward 2 years and I receive a letter stating that I owe $ 1800 for blood work. But they are going to give me a ‘patient discount’ since my account is about to get sent to collections. Gee Thanks!!! Now I only «owe» $ 210… Problem is… They should never have done anything in the first place!
Then the billing lady on the phone, after me stating that the claim was already paid and realizing that they would NEVER get the same amount from my Insurance says «I just spoke to my manager and he says if you pay right now (if you hang up the phone the deal goes away) then I only have to pay $ 50.» She then proceeded to tell me in a singing-​voice that can only be described as that voice you use when you are trying to con a sibling into getting you something so you don’t have to get off the couch. «It’s a prettty goooodd deeeeaaalll». After they knew they wouldn’t get paid they tried ‘high-​pressure sales tactics’ to squeeze money from me.
I hope this entire clinic shuts down and every person practicing these shady business tactics gets thrown in jail.

So yeah, just received TWO bills from them in the mail over 2 months after the actual procedure date. One was for $ 61.77, and the other was for $ 425. Like… what?! The bill also included an envelope for me to send my credit card numbers on a slip of paper back to their office. I’m sorry, what century is this? Needless to say, I freaked and got on my insurance provider’s website to see what the deal was. Thankfully, they had two bills for me for $ 19 and $ 21. So I paid those, and I better not hear anything else about it. (This also makes me question my doctor for even choosing a laboratory like this.)

I can only confirm the billing and invoicing issues described by other users. My doctors had the lab conduct a few tests for me. The FIRST bill I got from them showed I was 60 – 89 days late, and stated that I had to pay my invoice immediately to avoid collection procedures. Again, I had never before received a bill from them. I will call today to pay by credit card, and to make sure I will not be hit by the same fate as the other reviewers. It is unbelievable how innocent patients are being put into trouble by this company’s billing processes.
Stay away if you don’t want to end up in the hands of a collection agency.

BEWARE Doctors, Patients, and any Medical offices
My wife had some service completed by this Lab. We paid all of our (2) invoices in a timely manner.
About a year later from the services we received a letter from a Collection Agency stating that we are past due on the account for $ 72.80.
I called Universal Diagnostic Labs and spoke to Michelle in Accounting. I explained to her the mistake and she said that our Account is past due and that we need to discuss the concern with the collection agency.
I told her that it was clearly a mistake that we never received a bill for the services. She said that it is their standard to send out (3) bill notices and a phone call. I never received any. She could not give me any records of when the invoices were sent out or when the phone call was made.
She was rude and short with me and said that we were very past due on the account.
This company is unorganized and unethical. I pride myself in paying bills on time.
I contacted my Wife’s main Doctor to express our concerns.
AVOID this company at all cost.

I can’t believe it!!! You do NOT want to do any exam there!!!
Universal diagnostic laboratory is a SCAM!
I would make it short:
They charge twice more than any other lab in LA.
They billed me $ 250 for 7 exams when any other lab charge $ 99 for that.
When I called to see why they are over charging me they said they can give me 10% discount.
They gave me their license number to prove I can’t do anything about it…
