My name is Carlos and I have been on the retail side of irrigation in the San Fernando Valley for the last 15 years. I have seen gardeners come and go with no idea to what they are doing with regard to irrigation problems. They have been coming to me for advice.

After dealing with this situation for so many years, I have decided to offer a service to people in need of irrigation help. With an extensive background in irrigation, I can troubleshoot your system with state of the art equipment. I take out all the guess work and will explain the problem to you.

From programming clocks to valve replacement, no job is to big or to small.

Carlos did a wonderful job repairing my very poorly functioning sprinkler system. There were numerous problems: broken sprinkler heads, areas with no water coverage, an incorrectly programmed controller, and mechanical problems. He came on time, provided an accurate and reasonable quote and had the work completed promptly. I could not be happier. Thank you Carlos.

Carlos is responsive to communication and really good at what he does. His team is very skilled, as well. We recently thought we had a problem with our sprinkler system (which turned out to be a problem with our neighbors’ system, not ours), and Carlos came by TWICE without charging us to help us get to the bottom of the problem. No complaints!

Carlos and his crew were great! his initial estimate was the lowest of the two estimates I received «apples to apples». his crew came out for the first repair they found the timer needed to be replaced. after the 2nd repair visit, all sprinklers and timer were repaired and functioning perfectly! even after adding on a new timer to the repairs his price was still below the other co. estimate I received I highly recommend Carlos. He is very reasonable, punctual, and his crew works very efficiently.

Great response time, as far as scheduling an appointment, super fast time, as far as fixing the problem, and kind service all along the way.
Very honest, reasonably priced, and quick fixes without trying to overcharge.
The only negative for me, and it’s a slight one, is that the appointment times seem to be suggestions more than absolutes. My initial ‘diagnosis’ appointment was from 8 – 10; Carlos arrived shortly after 10, but I rushed to be ready by 8:00. The actual repairs were scheduled between 7 – 8; the technicians arrived at 8:30. Again, not a huge crisis, but an hour and a half after I rushed to make sure I was presentable at 7:00am. None of that, however, would prevent me from calling them again if I have any sprinkler problems!

I called 4 different people to repair a leak I had outside. One guy thought it was the fire sprinklers and wouldn’t touch it. A fire sprinkler guy said it wasn’t part of the fire sprinklers and had no idea what it was. Another sprinkler repair guy had no idea what it was and wouldn’t touch it.
Thankfully, Carlos figured out the problem and repaired it in no time.
Carlos is my new go-​to guy.
Professional, knowledgeable, easy to talk to. Don’t hesitate.

Did not like how they handle the business. The person giving estimate was nice and seemed to be knowledgeable. However there is a lack of communication between their office and technicians. They over charged me for things that they didn’t even do. They had to send technicians 3 times just to justify the fact that they overcharged for a service/​part that was not fixed. My biggest complaint has to do with Tania. She would ignore my emails and wouldn’t stay on top of my concerns. While initially they gave me a very good impression, the whole experience was ruined by unorganized way they conduct the business.

One of the four zones stopped working on our existing sprinkler system. I figured it would be something simple but didn’t have the time to look into it. I made an appointment with Carlos and he was very prompt. The fix took him about five minutes which was kind of embarrassing for me but he was so nice about the whole thing. I asked him how much for the visit and he refused to take anything. He wouldn’t even let me pay for the gas he used getting to my house. He was very professional and I will definitely be recommending him and using him in the future for any of my more serious sprinkler needs.

We’ve called Carlos for help twice now and can’t recommend his services enough. He is timely — we haven’t been kept waiting and his prices are affordable and fair. The first time we had a busted sprinkler head in front that was causing quite the mess. It was replaced quickly and has been going strong for over a year now. Then this morning we called him over because the sprinklers in our backyard had stopped working. In about 2 minutes he discovered that something on our potting bench had fallen and disconnected the wire to that zone. Yup– we’re geniuses, the backyard sprinklers were unplugged. He was kind enough not to charge us for wasting his time, though, which of course was much appreciated. Anyways, next time we have a real sprinkler issue, Carlos will be our first call again!

We bought this house about a year ago with an existing but dated irrigation system. I had a few concerns. For example, the amount of water being wasted, some brown spots in the lawn and various broken/​dysfunctional pop ups.
I’m definitely handy. I like to most repairs myself but I have to say, irrigation upgrades are just a huge pain! I’ve spent hours and hours and at least $ 100 in various part over the last year. I tried having my gardener do some repairs and a couple hundred later, the problems still exist.
Finally I decided to call a Pro. I called, left a message and got a return call the same day (I think) – maybe the next day. I scheduled an initial appointment with Carlos – I believe he’s the owner. Carlos came out within a couple of days, assessed the whole thing and everything he said made sense. A quote came a couple of days later.
We agreed on a time and the two workers showed up. There was a little confusion at first but Carlos sorted it out quickly. The work was done exactly as expected. There was a little mess after the job but nothing crazy. The border around the garden bed wasn’t put back the same as it was but they got that sorted after I pointed it out. About 10 minutes after they left I turned on the dripper and the tube popped off but was easy enough to fix. That’s all the good and bad.
So here’s my summary: I spent roughly $ 350 over the last year to get where Sprinkler Tech got me to in a few hours for about the same cost. I seriously wish I’d called these guys 10 months ago. I mean seriously – I can’t tell you how frustrating this has been!
Here’s my recommendation: just call Sprinkler Tech and get the job done correctly the first time. You’ll save yourself a lot of wasted money, time and water.

I think The Sprinkler Tech has to be THE BEST service you’ll find anywhere for several reasons.
1) Not only was Carlos very professional and personable but so was his crew who did excellent work. How do I know they did excellent work? Since The Sprinkler Tech serviced my residence my water usage is almost half of what it was before! That’s HUGE in times like these! Carlos clearly identified inefficiencies I had upon meeting and wow did he deliver!
2) Carlos also was very prompt to make a follow up visit when I had questions about my new system, so the customer service is MUCH better than what I’ve come to expect elsewhere.
3) The Sprinkler Tech was very affordable. I thought I was going to pay a mint but his quote /​price was below two other estimates I had previously. In hindsight (considering the quality of work, customer service, and all the money I’m saving on water usage) I would have gladly paid more.
In short, The Sprinkler Tech did excellent work very promptly at an affordable price. I couldn’t be happier with their service.

I looked and interviewed lots of people met the good bad and the ugly to finally find Carlos and his team, being a REALTOR this is extremely important for not only me but my business so when you find these rare companies that make such an amazing work in really getting to fine tune their jobs until customers are happy, you absorbe them into you business because pros needs working with pros to get on top.
If this guy is that good with a pro like me who expect nothing but excellence, he deserves recognition, absolute recognition —
We did had to do some fine tuning and it’s sometime expected for a technical job like I gave him and a perfectionist like me but he surely excelled.
He is officially part of my team now at COLDWELL BANKER until I can get him full time on my jobs.

I relandscaped my backyard 10 years ago. The foliage had grown and was obstructing the sprinklers. I had dry spots and was not happy with how my yard was looking. I have a very large backyard. For $ 375 they came out and fixed everything. They put in drips we did all my sprinkler heads and everything is getting excellent coverage now. They could not have been any better. I will keep their number forever and use them in the future. I’m very satisfied with their work.

I recently purchased a new house, and looking for someone to get my sprinkler’s done was one of my top priorities because the previous owners did not take good care of their lawn. Looking to Unilocal for good reviews, I turned to the Sprinkler techs. With high hopes and expectations, I agreed to let them do my sprinklers.
At first, they came on time, working very hard, and were very professional. but as the day went on, they left without telling me a word, and worse of all, they did not finish their job. They promised to come back the next day, but came later than promised. Ontop of that, when they were ‘done’ with their job, it STILL did not work. I thought probably it was my issue. so I kept trying to figure things out, however, still, NOTHING was working. I contacted them a couple of time. it was non-​responsive. I had to use another phone number to contact them for them to pick up. I was really pushy with them to come ASAP to check this out, because I did not want to pay over 700 dollars and not have my sprinklers work. so they came the next day, and now everything is okay.
Honestly, paying such a high amount of money, i expected professionalism, and everything to work. I usually do not leave such low reviews, but I was just very disappointed with my service. I will never use this again.

Carlos and team were fast and courteous.
He came out to check my auto sprinklers because they suddenly stopped working. He informed me that there was an issue with an electrical outlet and the sprinklers were fine.
Even though I need an electrician and not a Sprinkler Tech, Carlos and team were very helpful. They even followed up again through email after he had left a phone message.
Great customer service and I will definitely use them again the future!
