Very effective! I’ve healed so much and have never felt better. The doctors also have great personalities.

I have had GREAT experiences here! I’ve had about 6 adjustments so far over 2 months.
I chose The Joint because of its Unilocal reviews and inexpensive initial session. (I am living on a very limited salary, and couldn’t afford anything more so I hoped I wasn’t making a mistake.)
Both doctors I’ve seen, Dr. Brown and Dr. (Foster? I think) were exceptionally friendly, professional, knowledgeable, experienced and attentive — in fact, that description doesn’t even begin to do them justice. I have interacted with 3 very helpful and cheerful receptionists as well. Having worked in high-​end customer service and medical clinics for years, I am sensitive to customer service and appreciate it greatly when I experience it, knowing how rare it is to find.
They knew exactly which questions to ask about my migraines and neck pain, oftentimes correctly guessing details of what was going on, before I would reveal them, and after just looking at my spinal alignment would begin working on the exact parts of my body that were bothering me, which had me wondering to myself «how on earth did they just KNOW to start there?»).
I went in twice with migraines, and left both of those times without a migraine. (They didn’t say they’d get rid of them, by the way — I had no expectation that this would happen.) The second time I went back with only hope, thinking the first time was a fluke, and it went away again!
*Migraine sufferers* — you know how unimaginable that is, and WHAT a relief it was for me. This in itself is literally priceless value. Both doctors I saw had extensive knowledge on the condition as well.
I can’t believe I’ve found such an inexpensive, yet valuable place that actually saves me from putting my «dangerous» medicine (according to my neurologist) in my body, or having expensive medical tests done. This has already provided me with much better results than my neurologist has provided.
A HUGE thanks to The Joint for taking such great care of me (and for not breaking my pocket)!!! I’ve already started spreading the word to my friends and family who have been considering chiropractic care.

This review is for Dr Brown who was filling in at the woodland hills branch. I’ve been experiencing constant lower right back pain for two years. The few chiros I went to could never adjust me on that side. Dr Brown was so reassuring, made no promises and said he’s focusing more on accuracy vs force and he got me into position after a few minutes of assessment and low and behold he achieved what I’ve been dying to feel for two plus years and the pain was gone instantly. I can’t believe it! I almost went for an MRI and now I’m pain free. I am considering driving to Van Nuys once a week since I have the monthly package.
I have been to Dr Van and Dr Reiss as well and they are both great. Have seen Dr Reiss last couple times and has made a big difference in a good way.

Saw the sign outside that said four adjustments for $ 69 dollars, signed for it and didn’t know it was recurring which means they will automatically deduct $ 69 from your account every month (Beware), I asked them politely to refund the money they said No, so I went to sign a cancelation form and the receptionist there (girl with short hair) Very rudely said (IN THE FUTURE LOOK AT WHAT YOU’RE SIGNING). WOW, thanks for your advice.

You will not find a better value for your money when it comes to chiropractor appointments. The facility is clean, modern, and professional. The receptionist is always kid, personal, and does an great job managing traffic. All doctors have been effective and enjoy what they do. I always leave feeling better.

Dr. Brown is great! Spent time talking with me and really got into each adjustment. He was kind as well and made sure I felt comfortable. I plan on going back :)

Spare your budget and your back and don’t use this practice. You get what you pay for.
Follow up on my previous review. It’s now been almost 2 weeks since Dr. Brown’s adjustment that caused me pain, and the pain is no better than it was that day.
I have been unable to run without shooting pain radiating up and down my spine and legs.
Sitting in my office chair is painful, driving is the worst.
Lying down on my side or back is painful.
I can’t pick up my baby (!!!) or play with my toddler without pain.
Every minute of the day, I’m in pain.
At his insistence, I met with Dr. Fenton (the owner of the practice?) and my husband was with me a few days ago. Dr. Fenton stated that he believes it is breastfeeding that is the root of my issue. He then attempted to educate me on the hormones involved in breastfeeding. Laughable, given I am a highly educated mother who has been nursing (2 children) for 4 years, now. I gently corrected his information and advised him that I have never, EVER had this degree of back pain prior to the adjustment his doctor gave me earlier this month.
«The minute he used the drop table on me, I felt a popping and burning pain in my lower back and it got worse from that moment on,» I stated. Dr. Fenton continued to dismiss me and come up with other reasons I could be in pain. He then offered to adjust me himself to «fix the problem». Wow. No, I didn’t let him adjust me. I’m terrified of letting ANY doctors in this practice touch my spine now.
Dr. Fish was wonderful, but he of course vanished a few days after I signed their contract…
Dr. Fenton, the owner (?), also said, «Why don’t you just take a few days off work to rest it off?» Great advise, doctor! Will you be reimbursing me, my husband and my two kids Loss of Income if I do that??? Will you be reimbursing my employer for my loss of production?
I’ve paid out of pocket now HUNDREDS of dollars on therapy and follow up chiropractic at a trusted practice (Dr. Blum, North Hollywood — strongly recommend him to anyone reading this, he’s legitimately a professional practitioner) to try to relieve the pain — and before this is done and my spine is HOPEFULLY back in good condition, it will be at minimum hundreds of dollars more… my primary care doctor also wants me to get an MRI to determine the extent of the damage. That alone is $ 900 under my current insurance.
Just the bad adjustment alone would have been so much more acceptable if rather than push the blame for this injury off on me, the patient, the doctors of this practice had attempted for a MOMENT to accept responsibility and make recompense for the damages done.

I am beyond happy that I happened upon The Joint… the Chiropractic Place in Van Nuys. Their office is modern and welcoming, Farrah (the Receptionist) is very friendly, compassionate and competent. Dr. Brown was able to work wonders on my neck in a short amount of time – he’s had 22 years experience. I felt he was very committed to helping me with the worst seized-​up neck I have ever experienced. At the end of the first visit my neck’s range of motion was markedly improved, without incapacitating pain.
While I’ve reaped the benefits of chiropractic care for many years, I’ve always had a problem when the chiro up-​sells further services or supplements, or tells me that I have to come back 2−3x week for the next _​_​_​number of weeks.
The Joint’s philosophy is like no other chiropractic office I’ve experienced and it makes me very happy. They offer incredibly affordable packages that make it very easy to receive chiropractic care on a routine basis. My plan is for $ 69/​monthly for 4 visits; if I need to be seen more than that, any additional visits are $ 5 each (!). Even if you decide to pay for your visits one at a time, it’s only $ 39.

I love the joint the doctors are great and Farah is always so warm and welcoming and makes sure that your visit is always a good one. She really takes great care of the patients and is very kind. She greets you with a smile and excellent service. Love this place!!!

I bought the package and it is the best deal ever. 4 visit for 59.00 a month and $ 12 for any additional visits. I already used up my 4 haha and will gladly pay $ 12 bucks a visit. The Dr’s here are great. Super friendly.
