Took my dog in for vaccination. They make you fill out a basic form and then charge you. After you have to wait for about 20 – 40 mins. Overall good place to get your pets vaccinated at a good price.

I am a college student so I am pressed for time at the moment as I am in the tail end of my quarter and working on two final papers, but I have a lot to say about this place and I want to post my terrible experience. I will post my review as soon as I can (within the next week or so), but again, rabbit owners, BE WARNED.
(My beautiful Oswin passed away not even 24 hours after a routine spay operation.)

We took in our Jackson in and had complication due to his survey but she always made us feel at ease and like if we were all family.

They lure you in with the «low income» price option but in the end it is just as expensive as any vet out there. The ass kicker? Their in house lab machine just happens to be broken that day so they have to send out your lab work… so IT IS SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. And you drove all the way to hell for nothing. Dishonesty will be punished, I assure you.

Its a really great program and compared to our regular vet. After Shots, microchip, Neuter and blood work it was about $ 300. We are in the higher paying bracket which is totally fine by me. They don’t tell you about the blood work part which costs $ 60 or $ 95 depending which one you get for the spay/​neuter procedure. Its so they know the health of your pet. Still way cheaper than the vet. Our vet would’ve charged $ 425 just for the neuter.
Get there early for the Sat spay and neuter. We got there around 6:20 and there were 10 dogs ahead of us.
Bring a Pen! They don’t have very many. And the asian lady at the front desk is not the most friendly. Fill out the paperwork and wait for 20 min. There is a number written on the paper, they will call your number when they are ready. Put on the paper collar that they provide and then they wisk your dog away. They will be ready when they call and to pick them up before they close for the day or else you will need to pay for boarding.

As soon as my pup was old enough to be spayed I brought her to SNPLA of Van Nuys with the impression that was all we’d be doing. I didn’t know what to expect but they did give a price list upfront and description of the procedures offered over the phone. They took great care of her –same day, about 6 hrs– and we ended up getting a microchip, second round of shots, pain meds, and complimentary lampshade (all around $ 110). At first there was a small bump on her belly but it did go down after a week. She was out of sorts for a few days naturally, but no sickness or complications whatsoever. I am really happy this service is offered. Life happens and thankfully we found SNPLA. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it does get really packed but given the service it was well worth the wait. Once a procedure is done you have to do the rest of the work by tending to your dog or cat. Not sure why others had bad experiences, but if you can follow the aftercare directions carefully, pay close attention to your animals needs, and opt for the cone you shouldn’t run into any problems.

I have had both my females dogs spayed here. Each time I have had a good experience. Yes, it will take a little more time than usual, but you are getting an incredible discount. For a mere 10.00 extra dollars they microchip them. This place is ran efficiently and the people are professional. If you are high maintenance and have spent 800.00 dollars on a purebread, meh, meh, meh.
Shame on you. Spend the big dollars to get them fixed too, and don’t complain about places like this that are doing the right thing and offering a great service.

These people were very nice and tried to handle everything and everyone as swiftly as possible. I took a star away because I witnessed them givingvthe wrong animal to a person. That was a bit disconcerting. In their defense the cats had the same name. Back to my experience. My kitten 9 weeks old was fixed and he didn’t show any signs of discomfort. His bum was shaved but that’s the only thing that showed he was even there. Side note. Get there early. There will be a line. Take your animal or animals and wait. You will regret waiting in your car if you want to get in and out fast. It does get loud and look chaotic but they have a system and it got me out in under 30 min.

I was a bit skeptical about this facility the night before I brought my furbaby in to get spayed since most of the recent reviews were really negative. Overall, I am happy with the whole experience. Yes, you get a small unattractive green tattoo (I’m not staring at my dogs crotch ²⁴⁄₇ so it doesn’t really bother me). Also, the incision site is a bit wonky and the shave job looks ratchet so if you’re more into aesthetics, SNPLA is not the place for you. I never had an issue getting ahold of the staff on the phone to make sure my dog was okay/​ready for pickup. Four days after my dogs surgery I noticed that the area around her incision was slightly firm and she appeared to still be in pain. I decided to take her back in for a check up. The vet said that her incision site looked great but she was running a fever so they gave me antibiotics just incase. I’m just going to add that during a post op period a fever is a natural response but prescribing my dog antibiotics did help put my mind at ease. There is no fee to bring for a follow up appointment and I didn’t have to pay for the antibiotics or extra pain meds, score! Thanks SNPLA for taking such great care of my Frenchy!

I took my dog, Shiva, in to get spayed on October. Initially the surgical site seemed to have healed rather well and fast. However, once the stitches dissolved and there was no more bruising in the area I noticed a piece of, what looked like, plastic was sticking out of her skin. I took my dog in to see her regular vet, and he mentioned the person who had done the procedure left a staple inside!!! He assured me that it didn’t seem to bother her, but to keep an eye on it incase if anything unusual happens. Surely one day my boyfriend calls me while I’m at work and says Shiva’s incision site seems to be red. I quickly called the vet and he prescribed Shiva antibiotics for the infection caused by the staple that was left in. And now Shiva has to go through surgery again to get it removed.

So I have brought many of my animals here. The last three times my animals have ended up with an infection from the inside. I have done everything for my pets that was needed but for some reason 4 weeks after surgery they started to have problems. My kitten almost died and got lethargic out of no where and now my dog has an abcesses and a horrible buldgely scar. I will NEVER come to. this place again. It was the worst decision I have made for my poor babys

meh. No thank you. They literally tattooed my puppy without letting me know! wtf! An ugly random green line now is permanently on his belly. I didn’t even know what it was. I spent a good 15 minutes after everything heeled trying to clean it off and then finally a friend that works in a vet office told me it was a tattoo that some places do to mark if a dog is neutered or spayed. He’s a male dog with no more balls. Of course he has been neutered! You don’t have to tattoo him to see that. I am so angry that he will forever have it and now I always will be reminded of it every time I go to scratch his belly. It’s just rude and disrespectful to not tell the owner that you will be doing it. I have had many dogs and all have been fixed and never have I had someone tattoo them. Ever.

It’s first come first serve. There’s a line before the doors open at 6:30 am. There are numbered clipboards with the paperwork. They call the numbers and process you at that time. Each animal has to have it’s own paperwork. There were people with multiple cats. It’s a small waiting room with dogs on leash and cats in carriers. It’s better to keep your animal in the car until you finish your paperwork and your number is near being called.
When I went, there were a few dogs that really just wanted to play with each other. Not a good idea in this situation. The dogs were so excited that one got tangled up with his owner and tripped her. She was ok but it was crazy. Microchipping at time of spay/​neutering is only $ 5. It’s drop off and pick up time is between 2−4pm. I had to get my chihuahua mix pup because she was too little. When I called they said minimum of 2 lbs. She’s 2.9 but small. They said to come back in a month or two. They prefer it when the animal is at least 3 lbs. Would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. But, now I know and will be better prepared.

Brought my dog daisy for her spay two months ago and I am now just writing a review but this place is great. The staff is kind and efficient and are very helpful.
I paid around 140 dollars for my dog to get spayed, get her yearly shots, get her nails cut, and have a microchip inserted. (AND the spay comes with pain meds for 3 days and a cone of shame).
I arrived 30 minutes before the call time and was one of the first couple people in line. I don’t think it really matters too much how early you get there as long as you’re on time because once they open up the doors it really just matters how fast you fill the forms out.
They told me that once my dog was done I would be called or I could come pick her up at 3.
I didn’t receive a call and it was already 2 and I was feeling stressed about my dogs procedure so I went ahead and went to go pick her up anyways and she was ready !
I brought my precious baby home and a week later it seemed that one of her stitches (which were glue) had opened up and it seemed like it was gaping open. Being worried, I decided to take her back the next morning to get her checked up but it had closed up and started scabbing a little by then.
As soon as I got there within 5 minutes the doctor was able to see my dog and in a few minutes my dog was brought back out and I was told that she was just fine.
I love that there is a place like this that offers low cost spay and even free spay/​neuter for certain zip codes. I do recommend this place to everyone and would not hesitate to bring another pet here if I do get another one.

WORST experience ever. Despite the extra time & drive to get here, I decided this was a good option to save money on my dog’s neuter surgery. It was not worth it!
When we arrived at 6:20am there was a long line, we didn’t mind waiting but several clients began shouting & arguing with each other! Their dogs were out of control & fighting with each other. Staff did nothing to intervene. This did not make me feel confident about leaving my dog in their care.
Their instructions clearly state that you must arrive between 4 – 4:30pm or your dog will be «impounded.» I called several times to see if my dog was ready for pickup, but each time the phone went straight to voicemail. So while your pet is in their care, you won’t be able to speak anyone at the clinic on the phone. ridiculous!
I arrived on time at 4pm to pickup my dog, the staff stated that it would be another HOUR before he was ready. They were running late but no one called me to notify me of this. It took another 90minutes for me to get my dog back. They also didn’t tell us we needed to sign in to pickup, so we wasted more time in their waiting room. If they would’ve simply informed us they were running behind & to sign in we wouldn’t have minded waiting. They are totally inconsiderate of your time & this is terrible customer service.
There is no parking in the parking lot. They should advise you beforehand that you’ll need to park off site.
I wish I would’ve just paid a little extra to have my vet do the surgery. This was a terrible experience that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Just sharing my experience. I’m not trying to dissuade anyone but hoping to see if anyone else has had a similar situation.
I have 2 kittens, male and female. Both were healthy, active, and vibrant. Since
I took my two cats in to get spayed and neutered about 2 weeks ago they both have been biting at their fur and skin, lethargic, not eating, and they look ill. I had to take them to an after hours vet who was a little distraught when he examined the surgery area. (Especially on the female cat). They were prescribed antibiotics and we were given clear instructions on treating them. The cats just aren’t the same. They are behaving bizarrely and the clinic never returns my calls. I have had prior experience with spaying and neutering all my dogs and cats but I’m baffled with these two. I really hope they used clean instruments or properly cared for my animals. It’s doesn’t make sense that both cats are deteriorating. Reading everyone’s good reviews completely bums me out. I wish I could have expressed positive experience here.

I brought my Shih Tzu here to be neutered December 2014. Everything went smoothly for the most part. I ended up paying a lot more than intended because of little tests because of his old age and an extra procedure removing a skin tag etc etc. Still cheaper than the average vet office. It gets really crowded on certain days and parking can be horrid.
I just parked across the street and hoped to God I didn’t get ran over crossing lol. Staff is friendly too.

This is more for their scheduling staff. this is the 3^rd time we made and appointment. The first appointment we had an early morning appointment. Woke up and brought all 3 of our dogs to get spayed. Once we got there they mentioned their machine broke. Ok. 2^nd appointment we made and never got a confirm for it. We called a few days prior to confirm and no appointment scheduled. They had to schedule us another month out. So it’s already been almost 2 months. We called again due to no confirmation and walla!!! NO APPOINTMENT ONCE AGAIN??? I really do not know how this keeps happening with this place. I really hate to write such a bad review for them but they asked for it.
I usually write the goods before the bads but I’m so angry with them that I don’t even think the good will outweigh the bads at this point.
Get your stuff together.

Brought in my pup to get her spayed and honestly wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They botched up the stitches for my pup and charged me for services they DID NOT provide. I have called the front desk several times and finally, had to file a claim through my credit card. Yea… if you’re planning to come here. Beware and make sure you confirm that your pet received the services.

First and foremost, this is a far nicer facility than you would expect for prices this insanely inexpensive. I was told by a few different vets that getting Ripley spayed would be anywhere from $ 200-​$ 350; SNP LA does it for $ 88 INCLUDING recovery medication AND her Cone of Shame.
The staff are also exceedingly friendly and passionate about their environment for these rates. I was half-​tempted to lick the floor myself. It looks that delicious.
I was 2^nd in line at 6:30am for our appointment, quickly admitted, drove off by 7:20am, and called back by 1:20pm to pick her up. Ripley was groggy all night from the anesthesia and painkillers, but she was as right as rain and completely energetic the very next morning!
It has now been 12 days; Ripley’s scar is almost completely healed, so we can’t wait to take off her cone and let her run as free as the wind in two more days– thanks so much, SNPS!!!
