History

Established in 2005.

Rich and Famous opened it’s doors for business in 1994 as a family owned an operated Car Upholstery shop located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. Soon after they incorparated a line of full service Auto Tops into the inventory and the business began to grow rapidly.

Comfortable with the Van Nuys location they begin to expand which lead to the introduction of Rich and Famous Auto Sales. As the inventory grew the company expanded to offer Car Rentals including Rent to Own options.

Rich and Famous Rent a Car continues in footsteps of it’s past successes by offering only the best rental car choices at the most affordable prices, as they have been for automobile enthusiasts since 1994.

I haven’t written any reviews in a while– but now I really simply had to! I’ve never rented a car from rich and famous before — which I regret now because there are always issues while dealing with any rent-​a-​car company and I just assumed that it is a part of life:) I had really great experience with these guys! The whole process took about 10 min– from the moment I walked in till the moment I sat in the car all set to go. Awesome! I got a very nice 2013 Nissan Altima for abt $ 10 less than I would normally pay for it– great! The best part? I was running late to return the car a few days later– it was a problem for me because I was going out of town the next day for a couple of weeks. I was hopeless but still decided to try and call them — and guess what– one of the guys actually stayed there and waited for me (I was about an hour late!) things like that make me feel appreciated as a customer — considering that the prices here are lower I can guarantee that this place is my number 1 choice from now on! Thanks guys, please don’t change!:)

Call me a hipster, but I always try to support local business and more often than not it really pays off, so I was super happy I chose this place.
The process was super fast, simple. I was in and out quick. No hassle. I am super thankful to them because after getting into an accident the last thing I wanted was to be hassled.
I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Wow, great rental car company. I got into a car accident and had to take my car for repair. One of the their employees came and picked me up so that I can rent a car for a couple days while my car was getting fixed. I ended up renting a nice new car and the whole process just went really smooth. I would definitely go back, but hopefully won’t have to due to another accident. Anyways, great place.

So I didn’t use them by choice. I went through an auto shop and they referred me to them while my car was in the shop. They unfairly charged me 50 dollars for replacing a tire. When I turned the keys in we walked around the car they didn’t say anything about any damage. I got the all clear and left. The next day I had a charge. When I called to find out I was told to leave my message and they will call me back. No one called. I called back about 3 hours later. I was told they passed on the message and will return my call. I had to call them back the next day. Horrible service. They may be dirt cheap but that is why. They will find any excuse to charge you for damages. They said I probably hit a curb or something. They said the tire was damage was on the sidewall. And was leaking air. The tire light never came on and I never saw this damage they speak of it. When I called them about it they were no more helpful and as of this post nothing is resolved. Be vary wary and its actually not that cheap. At 25 a day I can probably get a better car at enterprise. Go to a real rental. Not this scummy place.
