LA Auto Connection

Last Weekend I had the pleasure of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. I have had terrible experiences at other dealerships. They know i am coming to them because my credit is not to par with what is required at other traditional dealership. because of this fact it lends to be taken advantage of. Well i spoke to Wendy who took all my information over the phone. she told me exactly what i needed to submit in order to be per-​approved, which eliminated a good two hours. they scheduled me for the following day. i was greeted by JC who showed me several cars i had been per-​approved for based on my credit. again no wasted time. in and out in two hours flat.
Now my new vehicle broke down this week end, and to my amazement, they sent a tow truck for me at their cost, they have also provided me with a loaner while my car is being serviced. PJ the service manager has been nothing but the best, total professional.
i know it’s hard to believe but hands down one of the very best dealerships i have worked with new or used. i am glad i took the opportunity to buy from them. i will continue to promote them to anyone who is looking for either a new or used vehicle — they i mention that they are brokers. well they are.

I came to this dealership after several attempts to the purchase a vehicle at other used car lots with no success. To be honest, there were cars I like but the staff was so rude and pushy that I just didn’t want to buy from them. I came here because I was recommended from a friend and the staff was nice and friendly which was great for a change. After the sales guy Sean showed me a couple different options we test drove the two that I like the most. He was very knowledgeable as far as the features on the car but didn’t seem to know exactly how many MPGs these two cars. But he did find out from you right away! Basically, after I found out which car I wanted he made the rest very easy. We went over different options for financing and I chose the one that I like the best, science and paperwork, and before I knew it I was driving away in my first car that I purchased by myself! Thanks Sean for making this process easy!!!

The good reviews on here have to be fakes or family and friends.
This place doesn’t want to sell cars, they want to waste your time and rob you.
I see a 15 year old car in their ad — granted it’s low mileage — but still 15 years old.
You can buy a late model used version with under 10,000 miles for $ 22,000 — $ 24,000.
A 2010 with low mileage around sells for $ 15,000. This is a 2000!
The rubber hoses and plastic parts are all 15 years old. Never mind that it’s a little fishy that the car only has 25,000 miles on it in 15 years. Was it in storage or did somebody turn back the odometer?
Kelley Blue Book dealer price on a 2000 in excellent condition with this same low mileage is $ 4,700 to $ 6,300 — that’s full retail.
First warning sign — they don’t put prices on cars in their ads.
Second warning sign — I call and the Salesman doesn’t know what the price is.
How do you not know what you have in the car and how much you want for it?
He takes my number and says he’ll ask the manager how much he wants for the car and get back to me.
2 hours later — no return call.
I go to their online chat and type in my question — finally I’m talking to the manager who delays and then at last tells me the price is $ 12,998 — cash!
I ask why the sales people couldn’t tell me that.
He says he has access to records the sales people don’t.
So, you sell used cars and your sales people don’t know the price of the cars they’re selling?
It’s a state secret.
Is this a used car lot or the freakin’ CIA? Nice used car sales concept — mystery pricing.
I ask him why he doesn’t just put the asking price in the ad and save everybody the wasted time. He says because the price is negotiable for «serious buyers» — snidely inferring that I wasn’t serious because I knew their price was ridiculously inflated. I was serious enough to call and track them down online and put up with their BS and insults.
Every used car has a little negotiating room — I’d expect to haggle — but a 200% markup?
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Wait until they wholesale the cars to someone else who actually wants to do business.
This all-​cash buyer is off to buy a car from someone who knows what they want for it and will PRICE it fairly and clearly.

I can be very indecisive when it comes to buying things. The staff was very kind and helpful when it came to finding the right car.
If you’re looking for a used car with a certain amount of miles (under 40,000) this is the place to go to.

WARNING DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!! Unless you want to waste your time and money… They promote themselves on a Christian radio station but they are just CON ARTIST’S… We purchased a vehicle their last week Sunday we weren’t even allowed to take it home because the paper work for the car to be ready for sale was not available yet. they said they had to go through the dmv to authorize this car to be sold… So they said to pick it up Wednesday we attempted to pick up the car on Wednesday like THEY told us too and then they said the car wasn’t ready, that they will call us when it was ready… They call is 2 days later that’s it’s ready but they where about to close so we couldn’t make it in time we went the following day which is today 6÷6÷15 to pick it up and they just start spitting bullshit that we can’t take the car off the lot because we didn’t put full coverage insurance on the car… When the guy who called us to let us know the car was ready said just to bring our current insurance for the car we were trading in and that would be fine… Keep in mind it takes us an hour to get to this so called «dealership» each and everything time not to mention that these «professionals» kept us for 6 hours just to know if we were going to get approved to purchase the vehicle… Same your self time and money just go to a REAL DEALERSHIP LIKE Toyota Nissan Honda etc… They actually have all the good deals and are much more helpful, experience and have the flexibility to work with whatever budget u come in with. I am speaking from experience on these big dealerships I loved them and wouldn’t try no where else… I have learned my lesson I bought a car from them for only 500 dollars down payment trust me they will work with your budget… We attempted this «dealership» because it was broadcast on a Christian station and expected honesty from them but it’s just bullshit… The people who work their aren’t even christian… It’s just a CON to get us to trust in them… (the sales guy told me he wasn’t Christian. It’s not an assumption or a judgment it’s a fact.) I wish I could put no stars!!! Ps PAT G. RUDE STAFF FROM GENERAL MANAGER ON DOWN!!!
I’m going to tell you what happened today, 4-​26-​2015.
I am in the market for a new car. I see one on Craigslist that is perfect, a 2013 Ford Edge. I call to inquire about the vehicle, and was told that I would get a call back in 5 minutes. I wait 15, and call them back.
I speak with the salesman Giovanni, aka Gio. He gives me very vague details about the car. Instead of giving me a price, he gives me a Blue Book value range. I had already done that and knew what the range of values was. He tells me to come on down to look at the car. So I am off to see it! Stoked, I have a cash down payment in my hand ready to go, if the price was right.
Once I get there, I wander the lot for a minute looking for it, to no avail. A gentleman in a pink shirt, obviously a salesman, approaches me. I tell him what I am looking for, and he instantly looks nervous. He says to hang on one minute. He goes to one building, with the service bays, then to the trailer office building. Once he walks in I wait for 5 minutes. Getting impatient, I go in to see what the hold up is. I see him at the far end of the office, and this place is as out of the movies used car salesman as it gets. I approach him and he goes on to tell me that the car isn’t there. Ok, why was I invited down to see it then, if it wasn’t there?
I ask to speak with Gio. At this point, I am pretty irritated that they knowingly wasted my time, but you’ll know why shortly. Gio comes out and immediately gets in my face counting off excuses on his fingers. Now, I am 6’2″, 250lbs, and covered in tattoos. Yet, he is still in my face in an aggressive fashion. I ask him to give me some space and tell me why he told me to come down to see a car that wasn’t there. Excuse, after excuse, after excuse, «OH, IT’S IN THE SYSTEM» ‘OH, IT AS HERE A COUPLE DAYS AGO’ Blah, Blah, Blah. Basically trying to blame me because his bosses were watching. I express my dissatisfaction, thoroughly. The fella in the pink shirt was the only one who tried to ease the situation. It might have worked, if another salesman hadn’t tried to chime in sayin’ ‘We have a Ford Escape we can sell you”.
Well, I didn’t drive all the way over here to buy a Ford Escape. I ask him why he would even say that, his response is «they’re both Fords.» ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? He wasn’t even involved in the conversation, yet decides to chime in being a smartass anyway.
At this point I am furious, and literally surrounded by 3 sales guy in a way that anyone would think that they are about to get jumped. Typical THUG Bullshit. I say F it, and begin to walk away. As I do, the Ford Escape salesman says something smart behind my back, in Spanish. I am white, and this could only be taken as a racist way of passive aggression. I stop in my tracks, turn around, and ask him what the hell he just said. He says something again about the Ford Escape. I had a few choice words for him. At this point I am walking down the ramp that leads to the rear building, I see two salesman smiling/​laughing at a pissed off potential customer walking away with $ 4k in his pocket. That didn’t turn out well. I invited the scumbags to the sidewalk to talk more about this potential sale. Ofcourse, being the cowards and con men that they are, they do nothing.
I begin to walk to my car, and the guy in the pink shirt follows me out apologizing for their actions and does the same conman stuff the government does saying that the behavior of their employees will be handled internally. That does nothing for me, as I do not care. I remind the guy of who I am. Then I mentioned putting up a Unilocal review. That was not taken well. I get into my car, and drive away.
If you value your money, at all, or being respected, DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I visited this place yesterday. Already had a bad feeling… They had cars marked at such high prices for old cars. Ridiculous! The guy admitted they purchase the cars from auction, so obviously theres something wrong with them. They try to play you! Im not dumb, i know what an ’08 crv goes for, and they were trying to show this bullcrap paper bout how much the kb is on it. What a joke. They suck. Their cars are over priced as well

Bought my self a kia spectra here. The sales guys were nothing but helpful and honest. Since the initial phone call they answered all the questions, I came in, drove it and bought it… they gave me real good payments ($ 225) 0 down just had to pay dmv fees and taxes. The finance deparment made the buying process very easy and if I ever need to buy a car this is the place I will visit! Thank you LA Autoconnection for all the help.

I just want to take a minute and comment briefly on these negative opinions people post. No crooks! No one shady there!
1^st of all i have bought a car from La Auto 2 years ago, i had bad credit i was turned away by many dealerships, the staff at La Auto took care of me, helped me get approved, my car did not give me any problems. I stopped by 1 month ago, and traded my car for a new 2013 Toyota Camry, once again the process was simple and easy.
I would recommend LA AUTO to anyone. Don’t be fooled by all these negative comments. They have been amazing to me!

Idk y my review was taken off after a few days but I will make it simple save urself a headache and $$$ don’t buy from this place they lie about there cars. They told me my car was not crashed yet I get my car FAX from another dealer and it shows it was crashed. BE CAREFUL with this place.

Having moved to LA from Australia, and therefore having absolutely NO credit, buying a car had been a complete nightmare! I went to thousands of places that told me they had first-​time buyer programs, and ‘finance anyone’ options available, but of course, after you haul yourself all the way to these places, you find that unless you have a co-​signer, or a HUGE down payment, that isn’t actually the case. I was really surprised by LA Auto, not only were they able to finance me immediately, I was impressed with the sales team — unlike any other dealership (and trust me, I’ve been to a few!) they were not pushy, or rude, or unpleasant, and in fact, were incredibly friendly, and helpful. When I found the car I liked, they took it straight to their service center to make sure everything was in perfect working order and that it was clean and detailed. I really have to say, that this was one of the more pleasant car-​shopping experiences I’ve ever had.

i purchased a 2008 chevy trail blazer here its running good so far (knock on wood) but they over charged us by far they lied to us to make a sale and seem very fake and fishy ive been trying for months to get the registration there suppose to provide i went to the dmv and told them the dealership said it would take 3 months to get and they said it shouldnt take that long and when they checked up on it the dealership picked it up a month ago and when i went to the dealership to get it they were giving me the run around once again said they would call me and never did they dont have there shit together and r shady word of advise take ur time when buying a car

I just took a moment to read all of the negative comments and I truly cannot believe a word of it! I just bought a car from la auto connection in Van Nuys, and I have NEVER been so happy! They gave me an amazing deal, I have a extremely low payment plan set up even despite of my horrible credit, and they treated me with the outmost respect. Most dealerships didn’t want to deal with me after seeing my credit score, but they made me feel so comfortable and really made me feel like I can trust them. I love this dealership and I recommend them to everyone!

SUPERB SERVICE!!! I recently took my daughters car here to get the clutch replaced. Pj and Ray were very informative on the process, the costs, and parts used. Since her car was near the 100K miles mark, Pj performed additional diagnostics at no additional charge, to ensure everything else was in proper working order. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. The charges were reasonable for the work performed, without additional padded or over-​inflated charges that some repair shops or dealerships are known for. When my daughter and I picked up her car, it was washed and vacuumed and ready to go. Pj and Ray are very hospitable people, they are very nice, friendly, and treated us like family. When I am ready to purchase another vehicle, I will definitely go there. If either of my vehicles need service I will definitely return. They offer major dealership quality of service without the additional pressures or up-​selling of service that a major dealership is famous for. I had the best overall experience, I highly recommend them!

DON’T COME HERE!!! The people that work here are DISHONEST! They OVERPRICE their cars and wont tell you if the car has been crashed! They sold my dad a car which had been crashed but never told him about it!!! We went there to talk to them but only got yelled at by the owner! Make sure to ask them for a CARFAX otherwise they wont give you any info on the car! SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND DON’T COME HERE!!!
