It was so simple to receive my firearm and guard guard permit from GBI academy. Made the call in a day and was scheduled for the following day went through training and classes and now I have my permit… Thank you again Pat for all your help

Wow we’re should I start so I heard about GBI academy and security services from a family friend of mine who told me they hold events at shooting ranges so I thought why not go and experience it myself. I went with a group of friends back in October and was instantly impressed at their professionalism and energy! It was my first time ever shooting a gun and I gotta say I was pretty freaked out but they assured me I had nothing to worry about they went over basic training techniques to familiarize me with the gun. After a few safety tips we went out on the range. There team has high energy and made the experience fun for me and my group of friends. After that day I decided to sign up for my firearm permit and now I can say I’m out on the range almost every weekend!!!

I started going to GBI academy maybe about 3 weeks ago. Their boot camp training classes are AMAZING … I have to say I cannot get enough of it. There really whipping me into shape, I’m already seeing results. Not to mention they teach you self defense as well. The owners Nune and Patrick are so sweet, highly recommend!

GBI Academy, this is the place for all your Executive Protection, Body Guarding, Certification and Training needs. This is the one stop shop for Certifications, Tactical Courses and Instruction. Located in Van Nuys, perfectly situated in the middle of it all and easily accessible with free parking. Professional staff, large training facility and knowledgable owners.
I recently took a firearms course through them and although I have experience in this field I learned a lot. They accommodate large and small groups as well as individual training. They have the accessibility of several indoor and outdoor ranges for use and will provide the firearms for training should you require one.
In addition, they are flexible on the dates and times of courses /​classes so to accommodate those who work a non-​typical Monday through Friday schedule. Not only was this a learning experience, it was a fun experience. Their teaching technique is tailored for the individual they are teaching and wether you are visual, tactile or both — they’ve got you covered! Friendly group who I look forward to continuing training with.

I did my baton class today. The instructor patrick was very detailed and trained me well. He was very patient and explain the procedure of obtaining the permit and instructions on submission of the baton license. i recommend this location if anyone is inquiring or needing to get any license or permits.

Yay! So today was my first time having a lesson at GBI training and believe me when I say… the instructors are super welcoming with first timers, for awhile my husband and I have been wanting to get weapons training for home security purposes. However always felt intimidated to walk into a range not knowing what to expect, as most people feel… the trainers/​instructors are so welcoming and full of knowledge and made me feel so comfortable… I’m now hooked! unfortunately my husband wasn’t able to attend this time, but we’ll be back for more. and my husband and kids are excited to join me next time… my new found hobby. I had my first lesson with GBI today and I would completely recommend them to anyone. The staff was extremely professional, knowledgeable, skilled and honestly just fun and comfortable to be around.
A brief background about me: I purchased a Glock several years ago with the intent of learning how to shoot and maybe using the gun for self defense. I never really got around to it as I had called around and generally found most places providing firearm training services a bit intimidating and didn’t have any friends who knew about firearms etc. I knew how to shoot a gun and knew some basic safety rules about handling guns but really wanted some formal training and to become really familiar with my Glock.
When I called GBI, I spoke with Pat who was very warm and made me feel comfortable. He assured me that he and his staff were experienced with training women and invited me to join them for an assessment and introduction course. When I showed up to the range, several of the instructors were there (Greg M., Greg A and Pat later arrived) and they were all super cool guys. I trained with Greg M. who was spectacular! I learned so much and my stance and aim have improved greatly just from one session with him. He also made sure to go at a pace I felt comfortable with and adjusted to individual needs (as I am a small framed female with, ya know, girl hands…). I will definitely continue my training with him.
Anyway, definitely five stars for Greg and the fellas. I would especially like to encourage any ladies who may be interested in firearms even if you don’t own one (I believe they provide) or feel a bit out of place. These guys will totally take care of you.

I was extremely satisfied with all the training I’ve received from GBI. Their knowledgeable world class instructors took my skills to the next level. I look forward to the next range day.

The Best Security Training program I have ever seen in CA. They are very Professional and they’re prices are amazing. they will help you with everthing you need. If you guys need all your permits they will provide you with everthing you need. I have been doing security work for 11 years and i have never seen a academy like this. if you can’t effort they will work with you and help you. I got to them with all my security needs.
