Dandy Don’s Ice Cream Sundae Bar Catering

They came to my workplace earlier this year, and the little booth they set up was so cute! The ice cream itself is not particularly notable, or maybe it just wasn’t to my taste. The toppings bar was extensive, though, with pretty much any topping you can imagine.
I would definitely recommend having them cater a workplace event.

Dandy Don’s is a great homemade ice cream brand. and they do excellent catering at events too! Had the full Dandy Don experience recently at the Care Foundation’s Paramount Studio Lot charity event and saw everyone there raving about the incredible ‘ice cream’ (!). The two busiest food booths were Dandy Don’s and a new Sushi restaurant (both next to each other)…LOVED em both!!!
Sampled the ‘Cappuccino Crunch’ and «Harry’s Berries Strawberry’ ice cream –both out of this world. Yes, the world famous ‘Harry’s Berries’ (the best strawberries in the world from Oxnard are used exclusively for their Strawberry ice cream. so smooth, so creamy… de-​LISH!
The Cappuccino crunch is as close as you could imagine a frozen scoop of Cappuccino would be… full espresso flavor with extra crunch… to DIE FOR! If you go to their website:

Was very fortunate to run into this place on Unilocal.Few co workers and I have been going to coldstone for our ice cream fix about three times a month during lunch and we are pleased that this place was conveniently close enough for us to drive to and purchase the pints sized ice cream to eat at work. It’d be nice if they had a nice little spot there to satisfy the ice cream cravings, instant gratification. We know now this is where we will be going for ice cream during work days.
The flavors that we had tried for today was White Pistachio and Strawberries & Brown Sugar. The white pistachio was extremely flavor full and packed with WHOLE pistachios, and unlike many other pistachios ice cream the color was very natural without the excessive food coloring and it had a very creamy complextion on the palate.
The Strawberries & Brown Sugar was almost like being in a candy parlor. The taste took you into a sweet candy shop. Something about the the strawberries was interesting in a good way. The amount of brown sugar was perfect not dominating the taste of strawberries, it’s a great combination altogether.
Overall the experience was great, at first going to pick up the price cream was quite a task since the office/​plant was so well hidden. Parking is difficult in the plaza of suites so park along the street and walk it’s a lot more convenient. The office will put you off a little bit since there’s no color or banner aside from a small sign (But what can u expect? This place was meant as a plant for wholesale ice cream) and there big van parked in their designated spot. However once inside you ‘ll be greeted by an amazingly helpful (and I must admit cute as hell) staff member. She was accommodating even going back and forth into the main office to a back room to get us a list of flavors and then spoons and napkins. This place is a great escape from work for great ice cream.

You want homemade Gelato /​Ice Cream /​Sorbeto? DD’s is the establishment to order from. Heart & Soul go into every bite. You might find their product, in specialty shops, but defiantly in finer restaurants, or even at an event.

Out of this world

dandy don’s booth appeared out of no where, while i was at work, and then i heard they were free so i went to go check it out!
the strawberry ice cream i got was a pretty big scoop, but it was very light and refreshing. the flavor was perfect. there was a table with all these toppings, so i added some crushed oreos. i wish i could have had the option to get two different scoops of ice cream — one strawberry and one chocolate though, instead of the oreo topping.

Homemade — hand crafted ice cream. YES.
I had the green tea and vanilla bean at a charity event and they had all the toppings ready for everyone!
It was really good! They used natural flavoring and I love green tea and it tasted like green tea.
I wish I tried the other flavors but I am a fan of vanilla and it was good especially with all the toppings they offer.
Overall, I wish they were closer!

Dandy Don’s catered an ice cream social for my office building. The Cappuccino Crunch wasn’t too strong flavored and paired nicely with the hot fudge and whipped cream. I love high fat content ice cream because it’s just so much more delicious, which is exactly what Dandy Don’s is. Top it off with caramel, hot fudge, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, and other toppings with the obligatory maraschino cherry and you’ve got yourself a great sundae.
The wait staff were very nice and cheerful despite the blustery day on the Wilshire corridor — made the event all that much nicer.

I recently used Dandy Don’s to cater an ice cream social for about 100 people.. We paid about $ 800 and that included set-​up. They did an excellent job. The staff was amazing and the presentation was wonderful. I am thrilled with Dandy Don’s and will definitely use them again

I used Dandy Don’s to cater an event and was amazed at how delicious their ice cream is! You really can’t compare it to any other ice cream. They bring the little cart with great toppings and the person serving the ice cream is very personable. Try the cappuchino crunch — it is divine!
