Description

Specialties

Learn Foxtrot, Tango, Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo/Salsa, East and West Coast Swing plus more, in a private relaxed atmosphere. Just you, with or without a partner, or a small group will get individualized attention tailored to your specific needs and wants. Getting married and want to dazzle your family and friends for your first dance? I do wedding choreography to your chosen song and style. If you have not picked out a song yet, I will show you different dance styles and see which ones you resonate best with. Then you can pick a song accordingly. Going at your pace and learning abilities is how I teach, along with showing a couple how partner dancing teamwork is so important, for a special event and of course social dancing.

History

Established in 1993.

I have been dancing since 6 years old with a background in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. and professionally a jazz dancer in Las Vegas, Japan, Manila, USA and Canada. In 1986, I was introduced to partner dancing, and taught for Arthur Murray studio in Van Nuys, Ca. Starting Dancing for Life and helping students live out their dancing dreams is a major joy for me. Whether that be choreographing a wedding dance or other event, social dancing fun and expression, and of course, I believe dancing is the more enjoyable way to exercise.

Meet the Business Owner

Kathy L.

Business Owner

Dancing has been a part of my life since childhood. With all the different styles I have pursued, it has given me a favorable background to put into partner dancing, and share that with my students. Because I tailor the dances to the client, it helps them be more comfortable and confident while being themselves on a dance floor.

I will continue to pursue this passion for as long as I can be moving.

Private instruction can be at my home studio or your location with flexible scheduling. I have a beginning group class in Santa Monica, and a more intermediate class at my studio.
