The process from start to finish with California energy contractors was a pleasure.
The sales rep was knowledgeable professional and not pushy. He followed up on commitments and stayed with the process until turn over to construction.
all three steps insulation, new windows, text cote went smooth the crews were on time finished by comitted dates and we’re very thorough on clean up and final walks with us. NICE JOB

I am very disappointed with this company. I originally had someone come out to give me a quote on some windows and because i didn’t agree with the amount I was later called to see if I’d. Lile to have the owners cousin come talk to me, he may give me better pricing. I was in agreement to meet with Frank. Frank came out and after all that I was told I was in agreement with using them for installation of new windows in the home I just purchased. I was really big on taking advantages of what PG&E had to offer with rebates when making your home energy efficient. I knew it was important to go with a company that was contracted with PG&E in order to receive this rebate and this was shared with Frank. I was told I would get around $ 1000 rebate from PG&E. We’ll here I am a little month after my work order and my windows are getting installed now and find out they are not contracted with PG&E and I will not be eligible to take advantage of the rebates being offered. I called this company to inquire why I was told otherwise and spoke to the owner Alex and he said he had no idea what I was talking about of course he had Frank call me who did my paperwork and he also tells me he never said such a thing! It makes no damn difference they are sales people and tend to want your business, mislead their cuatomers, get the deal and close it and later brush their hands off it isn’t their problem. They got their contract signed, the will get their money, and then tell you the customer they didn’t say such a thing. It’s really bothersome to me to know these types of companies would say false information to make thousands! I would be very cautious with this company because after you sign, there’s no looking back don’t even matter how long it takes for them to come out and start the installation process. Alex this your problem because you are the owner and your representatives aren’t being honest at the time of their sales pitch. So yes, you are just as guilty ad screwing your customers over.

Be very careful with this company and listen to the other reviews. Frankly, we found this field to be full of aggressive salespeople who make lots of promises they don’t keep
Our sliding door broke. It was the very old one, original to the house. Not having this door meant there was a loss of a major exit in event of fire. Frank said he would put a rush on it, and we would have the door in 2 – 3 weeks. BUT we had to sign that we gave up our rights to cancel the order within 3 days. That was because the measuring guy came out right away to measure
The measuring guy came out a second time a few weeks later, when our door should have been almost ready
We ordered the sliding door and one window on 8/​11, but nothing was installed until ⁹⁄₂₈! That’s 6 weeks, double of the promised time period. We had no air conditioning in the hottest month and couldn’t open the sliding door that whole time
We think Frank’s promise of a rush was so we would give up our right of cancellation.
We made numerous calls to see when they would be installing it. On the last call, they put us on hold and said they would be out the following Monday. Why didn’t they call to say the door was ready?
Also, be very cautious of the installers. One of them spent a long time chatting with me, being very friendly. At the end of the installation, they said the would collect the balance. They gave me an amount, and I went to get my paperwork. When I looked at my contract, I SAW THAT THE AMOUNT THE INSTALLERS QUOTED WAS $ 60 MORE THAN THE CONTRACT! Were they going to say it was a tip to their boss? I don’t know. But I certainly wasn’t going to pay their amount
I’m not sure if we will get any more windows than the one we did. If we do, we might check out other companies that represent Anlon replacement windows.
I gave them 2 stars because we love the door and window.
We wonder if their two year price guarantee is because that’s when condensation begins in the window and they hope to sell you all your windows before that happens

Wow! California Energy Contractors sent a sales rep to my residence in West Covina for 6 windows and a door upgrade replacing my current windows and door. After his estimate my wife and I decided to think about it. This resulted in an emotional melt down with the sales representative who said we waisted his time. We met the Company at the Los Angeles County Fair Grounds on 02/​21/​2015. I am totally amazed by the unprofessional conduct by an employee who is a representative for California Energy Contractors located in Van Nuys. CA

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. After a mediocre (at best) job replacing my windows 6 years ago, they have managed to harass me on a monthly basis with telemarketing. I have filed complaints and asked to be removed from lists and it’s done nothing. I was informed the last time that I cannot be removed from their files because I am a customer.
Beware, if you use this company you’re basically giving them the go ahead to call and harass you for life!

My husband and I ordered windows for our home in October of 2013. As of today (02/​03/​2014) we do not have our windows. We were told our order would be finished by Thanksgiving. Now I wonder which Thanksgiving the company meant! They had many, many excuses for the delays, but nothing valid to be detained for 4 months. I will never do business with this company again, and I would suggest no one else should. They have no concern for their customers. Quick to make the sale and take your money; horrible with finishing the job.

To justify my last review and how bad they are.
I disputed the charges and the bank paid me all of the money I had spent on their crappy doors AND paid for my new ones that were put in by Danjo Windows and Doors (the good place)… That is what they get for never returning a call and denying any responsibility for their poor work.

About a month ago, I got a call from a telemarketer from the company. Although no one really likes to get these types of calls, the lady I spoke to was a pleasure to talk to. We were interested for a while in replacing our old ugly windows. Their salesman came out, showed us their product line, and made his recommendations. When he gave us the quote, it was more than reasonable. We were in the market shopping for a while, so we knew that the the quality for the price we were getting was an excellent value.
We heard nightmare stories with other companies when the company comes out to install windows. We were scared as well, but when their crew came out, we noticed their professionalism, and they did an amazing job. We are extremely satisfied with their work and price.

We moved to our house over ten years ago. The original owner of the house had done very little work in the thirty years she lived here. So when we moved in one of the first projects we had to do was to install new windows. We reached out to California Energy on a recommendation from a friend and we received excellent service from the first phone call to the office, to the salesman who came out to measure our windows and give us a quote and at the end the windows were installed in a timely and professional manner. We are so happy with the windows that even today the windows make our home look so much nicer. Over the years our kids have broken, ripped and damaged some of the nets or frames (with various balls and sticks) and every time we call we receive the same unbelievable service. They come out within a day or two and replace these things with the same incredible service we received when we first installed the windows. We could not be happier and would highly recommend their services to everyone. We have never had an issues with these windows and even so many years later they work and look like new. I just wish all contractors could be so professional and have such quality products.

13 years ago we moved into our house, a post ww2 house with it’s original windows. It took us 3 years to decide to replace all 14 windows and 3 doors, one of which is a huge bay window. Someone left a flyer on my porch so we decided to give them a try. We met with Steve. He was polite, professional and informative. I did a great deal of research on the particular windows (Atrium at the time) and decided to go forward with them, and i have not had a moment of regret. In the 10 years I have had 2 problems. The first one was when i accidentally tried to shut the window (forcefully) while the safety latch was out (oops) and the second issue is that my dogs keep putting their heads through the screen in the front window. Every time that happens i simply remove the screen and take it to them and pick it up a few days later. no questions asked. About 6 months ago we were shopping for a house painter and came across California Energy again. They now do Tex Cote. We called and set up an appointment, got a quote and while yes it is much pricier than straight painting we decided that it was the way to go. A few days later the workers were out patching up the 50 years of stucco and within about 3 days my house was done. I couldn’t be happier. I get so many compliments on my house and have referred many many friends to California Energy, all of which have been equally happy with their experiences. I am shocked to see such reviews, as my experience and those of my friends have been vastly different. I am reminded that typically good experiences do not garner a reaction. People rarely take the time to put pen to paper when they’re happy. That said, I would not hesitaite to refer them, and urge anyone considering such an investment to at least give them a try.

Stay away! I was contacted by the gas company regarding energy efficient products, and an offer of zero percent financing. Well, the roof estimate was $ 15,000, but he came down to $ 12,000 when I said my cousin got a roof for that price… and then he came down to $ 10,000, but only if I paid cash… huh? They had 5k leeway in the price… well, I got 3 more roof estimates, and they ranged between $ 9100 to $ 9400. And I was told the energy efficient roof material they use is no better, and possibly worse than the regular roofing material, which is the one I went with.
And he went on and on about the windows and exterior they offer… well I say say shop around and don’t use these guys!

I am not, nor will I ever be a customer for this place. At best, I was a potential customer. I called this place, along with about 4 – 5 other contractors to shop around for a dual-​paned-​window retrofit.
A pushy salesman came for a «free» quote. He stayed for 3 hours, when I told him explicitly at the 2^nd hour that we should wrap things up in 5 minutes. He spent all this time trying to sell us on the windows when we were already interested and just wanted a quote. He asked us twice for the names of their competitors I’d contacted along with their quotes – who does that?
After meeting with him, one of the office secretaries called me several times afterward (I remember at least 3 times). She, too, was pushy and kept trying to see if I would be willing to sit down with the «owner» of the company so we could get the «lowest» prices. *Every* time, I told her that I would contact her if I decided to, and to not call me. She only stopped calling when I said we had already hired another contractor.
