I took my toyota 4runner since it was having transmission problems for a long time and I no longer felt safe to drive it and I am glad I took it to this place. They are straight forward and let you know exactly what the car needs repaired. They dont try to add on stuff to scam you. They were very honest people. Not to mention that the prices were very good considering how much work my car needed. A big thank you to everyone. Ill definitely come back here if any of my cars go bad again.

I found box and gear by driving around the area looking for quotes for my transmission that was giving up on me. By chance, I stumbled across them and am I happy I did! When I arrived Jesse (Jr dad) was very professional and told me what the problem was and instantly gave me a quote. I told him I would call him and let him know what I would decide. I called him later that day and asked him when would be a good time to drop off the car he said next day by 830. Next morning I met Jr. A very friendly guy who was busy and still was able to help me out so I could get to work. 2 days later Jr and I spoke over the phone and he informed me of the updates of my car. Told me I could pick up my car the next day and even picked me up from my job that’s down the street from them. I’m extremely happy with the service. My car runs great. I’m definitely a forever customer and I know where I can get great service and a job well done.

They rebuilt the transmission on my 2003 Acura MDX. They did everything exactly as promised. Price was exactly what they said and the work was completed on time. These guys are amazing and so nice to work with. Junior and his Dad are both great. Very knowledgeable. They did a fantastic Job. I would Highly recommend them.

this place is very unprofessional i spoke with Jess the owner and ordered parts for 2 different cars he said no problem he will have them for me the next day i said OK call me and ill pick them up i called the next day to find out one of the parts didn’t come in and it would be coming from Texas instead of Florida and if i wanted it i would have to pay an additional $ 25.00 for shipping i said no problem please get them for me the next day came and went and no call i called Jess only to find out Jess had no clue as to when the parts would get there i cant under no circumstance tell that to my customer so i decided to get the those parts from a different vendor the same day i called jess the next day to let him know i was on my way to pick up the parts he had for the other transmission he said what about the other parts i said jess i cant wait for you to get them as you dont know when they will be here he said well get the other parts from them as well i dont know with that kind of attitude how this guy stays in business i had every intention to order and buy all of my manuel transmission parts from him but i will choose to go elsewhere i have my business to run and cant deal with unprofessional people such as him self.

I have never written a Unilocal review but I had to for box and gear transmission! These guys are the best! Junior and his dad were really sweet and honest. I needed to fix my transmission in order to pass my smog test. I had been shopping around and the prices were ridiculous, luckily my friend referred me to junior. He and his techs went above and beyond to make sure my car passed the smog test. And it did! Thank you guys!

If you need manual transmission work, these guys are the tops.
These guys were referred to me by another mechanic and I could not be happier with their work. I have a older manual transmission sports car with some unusual modifications and these guys were able to pin point the problem and come up with an economical solution.
They work fast and are very fair on pricing. I strongly recommend.
