This is a great park to play at! This is probably one of the best parks for kids in NWI, I don’t know of any nicer ones as of yet! It has been completely redone, never noticed any older kids there that were causing trouble. Went there in the summer for a play date on a weekday and it wasn’t too crowded. There is plenty to do here, perfect spot for play dates. Kids will play for hours. There is A LOT to do!. Bring sunscreen and water and prepare to be there for a couple of hours.

What a safe and imaginative place for children to play. Kudos to Valparaiso for promoting such a great and wonderful place for parents to bring their children.

If my 8 year old self were able to write a Unilocal review about ValPLAYso, all it would say is: This place is rad! He probably wouldn’t even get that much out before running off so he could hog the sweet zip line. Fortunately for my inner child, I now have children of my own through whom I can vicariously experience awesome playgrounds. And, fortunately for them, the long-awaited redesign and renovation of ValPLAYso is finally finished. We were able to get a taste of the new digs recently during an unusually warm December afternoon. Kudos to the Valpo Parks Foundation for an amazing redesign – definitely a far cry from the old wooden playground that inhabited the spot previously. All of the new gear is high-end stuff, and the diversity of the equipment is exceptional. They got everything: zip lines, multi-level jungle-gyms, swings of all kinds, and a cool tension-rope climbing apparatus. We especially appreciate how the whole thing is laid out. The entire set-up is completely contained allowing parents to let their children roam and play without much concern of them wondering off. The park is large enough to accommodate a significant number of people too. Although there were around 50 cars in the parking lot while we were there, the place never felt crowded. Having a toddler, we also liked the separate section for younger tikes. Amazingly, there’s more to come. We’ve learned that further expansion is in the works including a donor gateway, plaza, and splash pad. It is all a huge step up for Valpo Parks. Well done.

I have 3 boys and they LOVE coming to this park. When we come to this park I play too. There are plenty of slides, plenty of obstacles, plenty of bridges and castles, & plenty of places to hide. The park also has plenty of open areas to play catch and throw the football around or in my case play«it».

Hmmm! Hard to rate. This is a great park FORCHILDREN!!! Unfortunately punk teenagers seem to think it is a place for them to come & hang out… cussing, smoking, & being disrespectful of others. It’s too bad the city can’t run kids like these off since their parents sure haven’t done anything in raising them.
