History
Established in 1994.
Barry began teaching piano and conducting music workshops in 1994. Two years later, Wehrli Publications was founded to produce new, innovative teaching materials designed to achieve this goal: students who thoroughly understand music concepts and techniques, can apply them, and are achieving their goals as a result. Barry has so far authored six unique books and one compact disc for Wehrli Publications, some co-authored with his wife, Linda. With over 40 years of combined teaching experience, Barry and Linda continue to research and develop cutting-edge piano instruction materials.
Meet the Business Owner
Barry W.
Business Owner
My formal music instruction began at the age of eight on the piano, but also studied both acoustic and electric guitar along the way. Through my high school and college years, I taught myself the ins & outs of synthesis and electronic music. I studied under Dr. Sandra Bostrom at Cal State University, Northridge and with renowned pianist Terry Trotter and ace keyboardist John Novello and have since performed on piano or keyboards in the United States, Canada and Europe. Today, I continue to teach, perform, produce music at my home studio and head Wehrli Publications. I have so far authored six unique books and one compact disc for Wehrli Publications, some co-authored with my wife, Linda. I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Musician’s Union (Local 47)
