The UPS Store

Negative one star for the ladies on staff today 2÷10÷16 Aprox 3:15 an Indian older lady and tie young Latinas helped pack a 2 pound box of led lights. The initial person helping was the older Indian lady who never once expressed a specific price nor any charge at all in regards to packing. I asked for ONE BOX to prevent damage … They huddled in the back for several mins and then came back with the box and when I questioned cost it was well over 45 $ before this 9.45 $ shipping COST. I want to remind you I have shipped before and have an account with ups, so this was not a NEW uninformed CUSTOMER experience. Not only will I be sharing this unprofessional experience with my business associates, I also want a full refund. I had to drive to fed ex just to fulfill my order responsibilities ! Never again will I visit this company …

unorganized and messy. the Hispanic girl working here is extremely rude. went to send out 2 boxes and she looks at them and says we don’t ship this out… ummmm…I’ve been here numerous times and have shipped out the same size boxes, then she looks at the shipping label and says you need to send these through a post office. again, I’ve sent them out here before. then she said ok you can’t get a receipt then: ok fine. I won’t be returning here.

I had attended a conference here in LA and needed to ship what we used at this conference to our next conference in NOLA in a few weeks. I was thrilled to find out this location was open on a Sunday since I was flying back to Boston the next day. I showed up with several open boxes of stuff that needed to be shipped out and the young lady behind the counter was not phased and was very accommodating. If she was put out by the fact that it was a half hour before closing time, she did not show it. She even taped all the boxes for me so I did not have to buy packaging tape. The location is small and cramped but the service is large and loving.

I had a pleasant experience with a female staff member that helped me with boxing up my shipment and ensuring all the proper custom forms were signed and affixed to my Worldwide Expedited Package.
Unfortunately, it’s UPS’ non-​sensical shipping guarantee is what prevents me from using the company anymore.
I paid $ 365.85 to have a package shipped to Japan by ⁰⁹⁄₁₇ and due to a late plane my package was stuck in California for 6 days. On its due date, the package finally makes it way to Alaska and 24 hours later it’s off to Japan. The now late package ends up arriving in the destination country and then gets inspected by customs. So the little fun fact is that even if customs bats an eyelash at an ALREADY past due package– it negates their shipping guarantee.
This package was is in freakin’ Alaska on it’s delivery date. Not Japan, ALASKA!
I would be more understanding if the package arrived on its due date or even a day before and they want to use the «customs card» for not getting it processed in time but this is just a shady loophole by UPS. Tsk, Tsk.

I went in for a print job, and the customer service was great. I was helped by all 3 of the women who were working, Lydia, Lily, and Roshi, and they were all very helpful and professional.
I brought in a Mac configured flash drive with my documents on it, but unfortunately, UPS only uses PCs (shame on UPS!), so they couldn’t access the documents. I could email them, but it would have cost $ 5.00 to use the computer (I left my phone at home, so I couldn’t just forward the email; bad me!). I know for a lot of people $ 5.00 is no big deal, but I’m on a tight budget, and it really wasn’t an expense I wanted to incur. I mentioned that I had tried to do it online, but the order wouldn’t be ready for pick-​up until Monday, and I needed it for tomorrow morning. I wouldn’t have made it home and back before they closed. Because of that, they waived the $ 5.00 charge, and I walked out a happy camper.
I always appreciate employees/​owners that go out of their way to make things work for the customer instead of saying things like «sorry, I can’t help you». I will absolutely come back again for any printing/​shipping needs.

Staff here is friendly and professional. They are open late on Saturdays which is nice. Not all ups stores are open late on Saturdays. we returned our AT&T equipment here and they handled it and knew exactly what to do. There were two people in the store so I did not have to wait at all to be helped.

Well I took a chance and went back to this location I must say they are always very busy. based on my previous review not sure if the management refocused the team but my experience was extremely great .
The staff acknowledge me right away and attended to me in my needs .
Gladys was very friendly, she handled the high level of traffic very well. heads up to the owner she is a great rep for your UPS store. not to mention nidia is always friendly when I walk in and helps to all my business needs

I always get great service at this location. They are always willing to help with shipping letter packs or large packages. The staff is always polite and happy to assist you with your shipping needs. Sometimes parking can be a pain in the butt, but that’s life living in L.A.

Disregard all the 1 star reviews. They do their job and always reliable. If they seemed «unhappy» well– boohoo. Been going there for years and those guys are great.

Great store. Staff was excellent. No line. We’ll organized. Printed a label for me and shipped my UPS package. Friendly too.

Told me that USPS priority mail was 3 – 5 days. I hurriedly bought the 2 day UPS envelope for $ 15 more than I would have paid for the USPS, since the UPS truck was leaving and I needed it to arrive by Thursday. Promptly looked up the pricing and delivery time for USPS, and guess what? 2 day delivery envelope for $ 5. Thanks for ripping me off.

My husband to be mailed the bridesmaids dresses from this store to San fran and they got there in only 2 days that is great Sashi was very helpful he said and it was a quick experience!

Not much to say. I have a package, they take it and there are no issues. Service was fine. No compliants.

If I could do negative stars I would. I called to get important documents notarized before having to go to work the next morning. I first called to ask their hours (the y said they open at 8:30) and then to be safe, I called back and specifically asked if the notary would be there at that time. They said «yes»… «Are you sure?», I asked, because I have to get to work for an important meeting and the papers have to be notarized before then.” The person I spoke to (who I was later told was the manager) said «yes». Well, I show up and what do you know, she gets in at 10:30… I told the woman behind the counter that I specifically called and spoke to the manager who assured me she would be in and she said she was sorry. Obviously not her fault, but I was left scrambling for a notary with no time to lose. Luckily I found American Post N Parcel — they were there and took care of business courteously and quickly.
As for the resolution at the UPS store? The manager would not elect to speak to me for comment… hmmm

GO ANYwhere else.
I have visited this store 4 times over the last 8 weeks for the exact same service. The service was slow, unfriendly, and basic, but I don’t care because the price is right, so I keep coming back.
Today, the price of the same service has suddenly gone up???
When I question why, I’m given a stinky snarky response. ?
Eventually the RUDE GIRL backs down on the inflated price, but her attitude was so UGLY I couldn’t believe it.
I’ll never go back, and if you don’t like crappy service and rude snotty «help» — you might try another location as well.

Shipped 5 boxes from there. The 2 girls working there were very pleasant and patient. They got me in and out quickly — a little pricey to ship but great CS. Parking is kind of tough, lots of spaces but the lot is full.

I love this place because it’s always easy to drop something off and ship it. Employees seem to know what they’re doing and lines never too long. If people in parking lot weren’t such jerks it would be shipping perfection

They make boring errands quick and painless, so that is a HUGE win in my book.
They cover shipping, faxing, copies, PO Boxes, all that business.
It never fails, there is always a crazy person inside yelling or grumbling at the employees. They can’t control the mail, take it easy on them please.
It is located in a mini-​mall with a pretty small parking lot. Just try to be patient when looking for a spot. People come around the corners quickly like crazies. Take your time!

I have a PO box here and have since they opened (and even before when they were on Ventura Blvd. near Whitsett). They get the job done, are friendly, and I feel very comfy there.

I recently moved out of state and had a former roommate tell me the UPS man tried to deliver something. I called the store and was given two numbers. Of which, I called 818−947−4936 and spoke with Christina.
She was more the helpful. After taking down my new address, she mentioned accounts may have a block on changes of address. Not only did she check up on it for me. she promised a call back with an answer regardless AND that call was received in less than a minute.
Thank you, Christina and thank you UPS for hiring friendly, helpful and coherent employees. :)
