Sandwich heaven is all I have to say! The two nicest owners you’ll ever meet. Pastrami, corn beef, roast beef yum yum yum! Whenever we’re sick we buy gallons of their chicken noodle matzo ball soup or mushroom barley. I’ve been drinking my vanilla cream soda here for 30 years. Best pickles too! Fresh eggbread chicken liver is delicious. Breakfast or lunch does not get better.

You go get yourself a pastrami on rye and a god damn black and white cookie, and see if that doesn’t make you feel good. 5 stars.

This place was amazing, and exactly what I was looking for on this gloomy afternoon. I ordered the egg salad on rye, with potato salad and my husband ordered the hot brisket and sharp cheddar on egg bread with macaroni salad. Both sandwiches were delicious, and perfectly salty(the average person would probably complain of the saltiness, and they would be wrong). This little gem is tucked into a strip mall, and the gentleman behind the counter is extremely outgoing, friendly, and boisterous. The interior is out-dated, but the food and service more than make up for it. I’m Polish and from the Detroit area, and grew up eating salty Polish and German meat on hearty delicious bread, and Marv’s made me feel like I was at home. A+++

Absolutely the worst! Don’t even park your car! Went in to get some soup — every table was dirty, floor was dirty, no customers or workers in sight — I know why! Yuk!

It’s hard to find a good deli, especially in the valley. I placed an order to go and got the brisket sandwich with swiss and mustard, and the matzo ball chicken soup. The meat was so tender, and cheese and mustard were the perfect touch. I got a side of potato salad, which wasn’t too mayo-ey either. If you’re looking for a good sandwich, this is definitely the place.

I stopped by for the first time today for a brisket sandwich and chicken soup. The woman who took my order was great. She threw in some extra pickles and a potato salad for me to try. I have not had that good of a sandwich in long time. The meat was fresh and moist – literally melted in my mouth. I wasn’t feeling well and the chicken soup was exactly what I was looking for. Will def be returning to this gem!

This may be better than Brent’s Deli. This deli is so good, I’m having a panic attack worrying that it will close due to lack of business. Their pastrami is perfection… I’m kvelling. The matzo ball soup was lovely and homey. Really, this place needs a social revolution to make people aware if it’s existence.

Outstanding! It truly doesn’t get better than this: hassle-free parking, delicious food, service that makes you feel like family(not in the way where you’re expected to help clean up after thanksgiving kind of way… It’s like, they clearly cherish their customers). I will SO be back the next time I’m in LA! Amazing! 11 star!

Marv’s is THEBOMB. Easily as good as Canter’s(hard to say if it’s better), this deli has been incredibly delicious and consistently satisfying. Herman the German & Judy the Jew will take care of you in old delicatessen style — super old school. The corned beef is simply perfect, as is the pastrami. Potato salad is a slam dunk. It’s amazing that a place like this exists in the valley. I’ll come here when I’m famous and give Herman & Judy as much business as I can.

Okay, So I’ve wanted to try this place out since I discovered that it was a 5 minute walking distance from my place. I ordered the beef brisket w/potato salad and a black cherry soda. The brisket is great! Better than Texas BBQ on Riverside. The potato salad is also very good and I’m picky when it comes to things like that. I’m literally writing this while in the middle of my meal. Couldn’t wait to review this place. My total came out to 14.17 and I’m taking the other half of my sandwich home for later. Score! I can’t wait to come back and explore more options! The staff is also very friendly! — Update: So, I finish my meal. Everything was delightful, and the cashier comes over and hands me a bowl of 4 dark chocolate pieces. I’m officially sold.

Marv’s Deli you make a delicious deli sandwich, and you serve it up on top notch rye bread. Thank you for that and for having ice cold Dr. Browns gingerale always available when I stop by. Okay, enough sillyness. If you are anywhere near Valley Village, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, or Studio City and in need of a simple but satisfying lunch, go visit Marv and his deli. Their tuna sandwich really is better than any of the other delis in the aforementioned neighborhoods. Served with a pickle and a side of coleslaw I can’t think of a better lunch.

Go eat a sandwich at Marv’s. Very nice people. There is plenty of parking in the back. I had the Turkey and Cheese and as you can tell from the picture is tasted just as good as it looked.

I can’t believe I’ve never been here before. The brisket sandwich was amazing. The most juiciest and tastiest I have eaten in long time. Meat comes right off their steamer and carved to order. Prices weren’t too bad. Most of the sandwiches were under $ 10. A sandwich, doc brown root beer and side of cole slaw came out to $ 15. Unpretentious and authentic is what you can expect here. The no frills, yet simple dining area give customers a taste of classic Americana nostalgia — checkered flooring, vintage coolers and display cases full of terrific sides. The owner, Marv was wonderful and friendly. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome and immediately attended to. He informed me that deli shop has been in business in the valley for more then 60+ years, but unfortunately the recent street construction in front has slowed business down considerably; which explains why it was empty when I arrived. This is a great family owned business and we need to keep it going. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you check this place out. The sandwiches will not disappoint. Parking — back and across Rite-Aid.
