Towering Oaks Haven

My fiancé and I toured the grounds in December and were beyond ecstatic to secure Towering Oaks Haven as the location for our wedding. However, upon trying to contact Tamara in January, we received no responses whatsoever. We tried calling and leaving messages and sent e-​mails through the website. This lack of professionalism and general courtesy left us sorely disappointed. Thankfully, we have secured a perfect location for our wedding since then but are still left reeling at such poor civility towards potential clients. Hopefully this does not happen to anyone else – be warned! I, for one, am someone who cannot afford to waste precious time waiting around for an answer and was forced to explore other options. I am grateful to have found a beautiful alternative for our wedding but wanted to share our experience for those who are searching for wedding locations and do not have time to spare.

This place is an amazing place from the house to the pool. Awesome place to have a girls weekend and spend time with friends! Love it!

Needed a last minute place to stay a few weeks ago and called Tamera at Towering Oaks Haven. She was a pleasure to meet and was able to get us into a beautiful room for the evening. Have to say the Rooms and hospitality was excellent, and the massive Breakfast she prepared was amazing. We will definitely be back to stay again, and may even plan a Family Reunion here. Thanks Tamera for the warm welcome and hospitality!

Well, what more is there to say about this place besides AMAZING. We had a Girls Night Out this past weekend and Towering Oaks exceeded every expectation I had. Tamera is a gracious host and made everything so fun and easy.
We started our day by the pool and ended our night by the pool. Tamera had speakers ready for us and we relaxed, sang songs, drank wine and chatted the night away outside. The weather was absolutely perfect and the outdoor area at Towering Oaks was more than ideal.
We filled up the 7 bedrooms and all I heard the next morning was how comfortable the beds were. My bed = pure bliss. Everyone woke up relaxed and we drank coffee in one of the large living areas, watched some TV and of course chatted some more.
The property is stunning. I do not have a single complaint about our stay and as soon as we left all the girls wanted to know when the next Girls Night Out was going to be! This should be a destination for anyone in the DFW and surrounding areas for a weekend getaway and to just get back some sanity that the daily grind takes out of you.
Towering Oaks has limitless options of what it can provide from weekend getaways, wedding venue, photo shoots, family reunions, business retreats. You name it… They can do it! This venue will be a top contender for a wedding venue for me if I can ever get that rock!

My girlfriends and I just returned from spending a night out at Towering Oaks and it was the perfect Girl’s Night Out.
We wanted to find a spot close enough to the DFW area that none of us had to travel to far, but was far enough from the city that it felt like a true getaway. Enter, Towering Oaks Haven. It was a quick and easy trip up North from Dallas, the place is a cinch to find, and from the moment we walked through the doors, it was automatic relaxation.
The grounds are pretty and peaceful, complete with a beautiful pool and patio area that felt like our own private resort pool. The house itself is expertly decorated to a rustic country home vibe, with plenty of comfy oversized leather couches, two separate family rooms/​visiting areas multiple flat screen tv’s, and seven bedrooms each outfitted with either a queen or king bed. Some bedrooms have personal bathrooms connected to them, and others share a bathroom between floors. It is tidy and super clean, and could definitely be a feature in Southern Living or Better Homes & Gardens! You can tell someone works tirelessly around the clock to keep the house updated and cared for.
Tamera, the manager of the house, is a gracious host and took care to ensure we had everything we needed. She knows the area really well, and can recommend spots to visit if you want to get out and about, although all we cared about was drinking wine and catching up with our girlfriends this visit. You can really make your trip to Towering Oaks whatever you want it to be, but it was certainly an ideal quiet spot to just kick back and relax with old friends.
Next time, we look forward to a couple’s trip with maybe some winery visits and whiskey tastings!
