Opened in December, 2012, The Oak Barrel is an independent, locally owned property that is changing the way people eat out. Labeled by some as a «gastropub», the most accurate terms to describe The Oak Barrel are Brasserie and Tap house, which were chosen in our name… The Oak Barrel — Brasserie and Tap house.
Known for an amazing selection of craft beers, bourbons and whiskies, The Oak Barrel is also dedicated to using local and organic products whenever possible. The menu offers a New American style of food with a French twist.

Chef Owner Demetrios Atheneos has climbed the ranks quickly and in impressive fashion over the course of the last decade. Best known for his time spent orchestrating the operation at Deagan’s, one of Lakewood’s finest establishments, Chef Atheneos recently found a way to make his dream a reality.
The Oak Barrel is a culmination of all of his passions. Craft beers, bourbons, whiskies, prohibition style cocktails and of course a dedication to creating unique and amazing dishes with emphasis on using only the finest, local ingredients in Ohio.
