Every time I come here I always find what I’m looking for. I don’t really require much help, plus I use self check out. so I can’t speak on employees/service. Lol. (Talk about anti social). Everything is always organized and within reach. I like coming here to get ideas too :)

Your typical Home Depot.
The parking lot could be a little bit bigger, but beware becuse they share a parking lot with BJ’s and Walmart. Ugh the worst.
Staff are friendly, the store is organized.
I have been coming here for years and have never had a problem .
I would recommend.

Let me just say that I LOVE Home Depot! This Home Depot however really tries my patience. The staff is never helpful and every time I go for a particular item it is out of stock or they don’t carry it. The topper was when I was accused of shoplifting as I was walking out of the store by one of the cashiers. After a quick look at my receipt they realized they made a mistake. The employee didn’t even apologize for falsely accusing me. She just turned around and muttered something under her breath as she walked away. Needless to say I really dislike coming to this store and have started to frequent Lowes more often.

I usually go to Home Depot on Merrick but I had business errand in Valley Stream so I came into this location.
I needed assistance with choosing the amount of flooring needed for my kitchen/dining area. I asked the first worker I saw and she paged someone. 10 mins later I was still waiting. I wondered around the store and found help. She got me the right amount of what I needed. Getting assistance to lift the tiles was another story and 10 mins wait. Checking out was quick and easy.

I usually go to the Home Depot in Freeport… and then wander aimlessly through the store looking for someone that might help me and isn’t going out to lunch when they see customers… not the case here! I walked in and was greeted with plenty of helpful staff members. Most helpful and knowledgeable was Alonzo in lighting — he was very patience with my lack of knowledge of different light fixtures and that i had about 20 different questions for all the different lights in my condo. He gave the best advice possible and was right about everything. The cashiers are also very helpful and will open in order to lessen the waits on line. I highly recommend this home depot location. (They also have a great, wide selection). Great job!

Like everyone knows Home Depot can just plain suck at times. Well not this one. I’ve been coming here for about 8 months now. Every-time I’m there the associates have been very helpful. This is truly the diamond in the Home Depot rough.

At least memorial weekend is better. Customer service is slowly improving. The pre check out makes all the difference to speed up the check out process. Their garden is now triple the size. They are well stocked.

Oh no!!! It is sad that all these reviews are bad! I give it a 3 ½ stars because I felt that customer service has been good. I purshased a shed from them without any problems. Also I have no problems returning items. However trying to get a particular department or customer service by phone can be most challenging.

Terrible terrible customer service.
I go here if I am in a rush and need to grab something quick and go (using the self-checkout), but for the sake of your sanity **DO NOT** attempt to interact with any of the customer service associates. That includes not using Internet pick-up, and especially not trying to return anything. You will be talked down to, and may even have the added benefit of watching two store employees have a catfight with each other.
Many other Home Depot stores nearby, and if you’re not tied to the chain, go to Lowes (either in the 5 Towns or Garden City). Ever so much better staff, cleaner and brighter stores, and actual timely Internet order pickup. This store has taken a nosedive in quality in the past few years and needs Corporate to come in and straighten it out ASAP.

The customer service here is a joke. The cashiers are rude and you can tell they don’t want to be there. The floor help have no idea what they are talking about or what products are sold there. There may be 2 people in that store who have ANY idea of anything. Absolutely a horrible experience. Go to Lowe’s when you can and avoid Home Depot at all costs.

Me and my mother were harassed by an employee in the garden department. If he was at his post, he wouldn’t have had to run us down in the parking lot to see our receipt ! Then to make matters worse he tried to make small talk but we weren’t having that.

One of the worst stores to go to. Virtually no customer assistance and if you are lucky enough to find someone to help, they have no idea of what the products are and what is in stock.
An absolute disgrace.

This is a horrible, horrible Home Depot.
Don’t get me wrong you can’t beat the prices and they have everything you want, but the customer service is awful.
No one in there knows anything. They constantly give you a blank stare or send you to the wrong aisle. And most of them know nothing about construction, they are simply McDonald’s employees in orange smocks.
And trying to check out at this location is like trying to get through TSA at the airport. Terrible.
I try to use a local hardware store when ever possible, but I am so glad Lowes is opening in Five Towns. Such a better run company.
(I only give it 2 stars because a one star rating is save for the Home Depot in Downtown Flushing. Or as I used to call it… The Hellmouth.)

I go to this location only when I can’t be bothered to go elsewhere. I usually find what I need, but otherwise my experience is meh. The parking lot is often a gauntlet, dodging cars and trash. The staff is depressing and the checkout is frustrating. I’ll pass.
