Aire Serv of the Gold Country

We built our home and moved in 15 years ago, the AC/​Heat was installed by another Heat & Air business in the area. We were never happy with the installation of the units but have lived with it.
When it needs service we have always called Aire Serve of the Gold Country. The phone calls are very efficiently handled, appointments kept timely, the billing and follow up is courteous, and sincere. The service reps are neat and clean, well mannered and take care of the concerns at hand.
The air returns were installed too small to handle the size house and Sam advised installing or changing out what we have, since this is not an immediate concern and the weather has been so hot, I am waiting until Fall so the guys don’t have to deal with the HOT attic.

This company provided outstanding service. I called this morning at 8:00 AM and received a call back by 8:30 AM. They had their technician Sergio here the same day, even in this horrendous heat wave. Kathy from their office was so kind and she even called me to tell me they were on the way. Most places won’t do that as they just show up whenever. I was happy to know that the cost of the service fee would be applied to the bill if repairs were completed with them. Sergio was very helpful and even though it wasn’t an AC issue, he told us what he’d do if it were his own issue. He put shoe covers on before entering our home, even though I told him it wasn’t necessary. He said he was doing it out of respect for our home. I was very impressed with their service and will call them again if needed. I wish there were more businesses like this one!

A+ rating! Yesterday (Saturday) it was hot, my air-​conditioning was not working efficiently to cool down the house. I called late in the afternoon, they took my name and number and said they’ll have someone call me as so as they are available. 30 minutes later Sam called and said he was in Jackson and he’ll be by in an hour. When he came, he took a looked at it and saw the air-​conditioner unit was next to the dryer vent. He used the water hose and clean the lent from the air-​conditioner vents. After he was done he said, «You are on my way home, no charge and call if I had any more problems.»

In the past, I went through hard times, they fix my air-​conditioning unit and let me make payments until I pay it off. Sam’s Aire Serv has always been dependable and excellent service though the 25 years I’ve lived here.

Bought new house and needed to get HVAC system checked. Called local Aire Serv of Gold Country, and Barry came out quick! $ 99 diagnostic fee… He was super knowledgeable and very experienced. Came in, check my system, did some minor adjustments, cleaned the relay for maintenance and he was done. System was in good order and he was on his way. I paid via on his tablet which made things nice and easy. Emailed me receipt. Barry is the guy you want to work on your system.

Aire Serve came to fix a forced air gas heater that wasn’t putting out enough heat. Their diagnosis was that it needed a new blower motor, at a cost of over $ 400. Well, that motor had been replaced by another company less than a year ago. Foust Heat & Air came over to give another opinion, and their finding was that the motor was simply hooked up to run at only low speed, so they changed that to medium speed and now the heater works fine.

Fast, fast, fast service. I called after 9:00pm just to leave a message for someone to call me and I got a live person and they said a service tech will call me back. I got a call 15min later. After talking about symptoms and doing a couple a very quick checks the tech said he would have to come by and that dispatch would call to let me know how soon they would be out… well 8:00 am the next day the dispatch called and said he would be there in 30 minutes! Wow what service!!! Please keep in mind this was in the middle of a heatwave. Highly recommend this business.

I have used AireServe for the last few years for regular maintenance on AC/​heating at my business. The heater in the apartment behind my ice cream shop stopped working and they were coming out for regular maintenance so I asked them to check it out. After a few days they told me they could rebuild the control unit on my 90% efficient heater but there would be no warranty and it would cost $ 1400 or they could install a new 97% efficient unit for only $ 5200. Since the heater was only 6 years old I decided to get a second opinion. I’m glad I did, Gilmore Heating & Air came out and fixed it in about 10 minutes and only charges me $ 99! They found and after market vacuum control unit that AireServe «installed» but not even mounted, it was just hanging there, they took it off blew out the hoses and it began to work just fine. They will be getting my business in the future, bye-​bye AireServe!!!

I called to have my duct work looked at. I knew it needed to be replaced, there was no surprise there. Long story short, they added a register, made one bigger and put in new duct work.
My issue?
THEY LEFT A HUGE MESS. I mean, I know taking out old duct work and replacing everything and cutting into walls will create some mess. But to leave drywall chunks everywhere? Somehow it got all over both my sons beds? and just leave it? My boys are under 3 and you just left massive amounts of drywall and insulation dust all over their beds? HOW did it get there in the first place? And one of the workers went into my daughters room (Had NO business being in there to begin with) and left a mask in her closet. Her closet doors remain shut due to younger siblings. So why was he in her room, Why was he in her closet and why is he putting things in her closet? I’m sorry but I have a huge issue with this
In one of the registers they installed they left a massive amount of wood shavings and wood dust and drywall chunks in it. Never cleaned it out, Just left it, closed it up. I only looked inside the new register to see the pretty new thing that i paid these people well over 4,600 to install. Yes thats right, I paid over 4600 for these people to make a massive mess, go into places and rooms they didn’t need to be in and leave tools and sharp objects out.
Which brings me to my other complaint. They left part of my furnace door (metal door that covers part of the furnace) out in the middle of my kitchen. Didn’t tell me nothing. My 9 month old crawled in there and pulled the door right down on himself and cut himself a good one. Yeah. Awesome. OH and did i mention the amount of drywall dust that was forced about my house? Again, I KNOW some mess will occur when this happens, I do, I really really do, but when you have 2 people with bad asthma and drywall dust floating about the house? GUESS what happens? Yeah.
Oh and one of the workers… The SAME guy who left his mask in my daughters closet that he has no right or business being in, kept walking around telling me 2 year old my dog was going to eat him. Hes a big dog, hes going to get you. Not in a playing manor either.
And I kept me and the kids out of their way, I kept my dog in his crate so he wouldn’t bother the workers at all, we stayed completely out of their way. I cannot believe I paid this much money to be slapped in the face like this. I will not be using them when I go to replace my AC unit and Furnace. I’m going to go through someone else. They left a very very bad taste in my mouth.

On a Saturday after working all day, in the midst of a heat wave, the owner of this business delivered a room A/​C unit to my elderly father as his A/​C had gone out the night before. My dad’s unit is 20 years old and it is probably going to be more cost effective to put in a whole new unit rather than repair it. As he needs time to figure out what to do and it is hotter than blazes there, the owner took the time to do this for my dad. That’s not just good customer service, but a total act of kindness and decency that we don’t often find in businesses today.
As an addendum — my dad has since told me that Sam, the owner, has a reputation for being about the best businessman in the area. i can totally see why that is the case.

My wife and I recently purchased a boutique hotel near Yosemite. We used Aire Serv to put in over 11 AC units. The reason that we chose this company was there amazing ability to tailor their AC options to our needs. We wanted reliability and user friendliness since most of our guests are from other countries. Since they installed all eleven units, our guest satisfaction has been much better received. we called once because of some vibration from one of the units and they were here same day. Actually that is what makes them so awesome. You call for any reason they are there same day… When it is hot or cold outside and you need the AC working, most companies will not stand behind there install or if they do you could wait days for a fix.

They know what they are doing and get the job done.
Another thing that impressed me was when they say they will be there, they are on time!
