Specialties
VALCORE Recycling is a CRV Beverage Container BuyBack facility. We accept and recycle the following: CRV glass and various plastic bottles, aluminum and bi-metal cans.
We accepts the following for donation: All CRV, newspaper, office paper, cardboard, household batteries, toner cartridges, cell phones and books.
We are also a collection site for SHARPS, and have free replacement SHARPS containers.
We have a ReUse Barn that contains free items such as binders, folders, books, various office and art supplies. Come by to take a look or drop something off.
Paper Shredding:
Option 1: See Your Paper Shredded
This service is ONLY available on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 – 2 and is sponsored by the City of Vallejo. $ 10 Minimum, $ 0.50 a pound. Payment by Cash or check only.
Option 2: Drop Off Your Paper
and it is stored in locked containers until the shredding truck comes. This service is M-F 9:30−4 (closed 1 – 2). Credit/Debit card only.
History
Established in 1981.
Established in May of 1981, VALCORE (Vallejo Community Organizations Recycling, Inc.) is a 501 © (3) organization. VALCORE is a coalition of nonprofit member groups that focus on education, youth, and the environment. It was established by the City of Vallejo’s Beautification Advisory Commission.
VALCORE’s mission is to promote recycling and resource recovery in the community. We are located at 38 Sheridan Street. Our site and equipment are provided by Recology Vallejo, with the support of the City of Vallejo.
