Sutter Hospital Emergency Room

My husband’s finger is swollen and very painful, to the point of tears. Took him in expecting line any emergency room for it to be a long wait. He registered, we were called back 20 minutes later, doc immediately had it x-​rayed and explained what was wrong, prescribed an rx and we were done! well done, Sutter!

Only go to this ER if there is no other ER to go to. Out of about 20 visits, I’ve only seen a compassionate/​competent doc abt 2 times. I have a chronic condition and the staff behaves like one of those big city county hospitals with work overload.

Arrived at ER @ 6 am was seen by Dr @ 6:20 am on 6÷29÷15. All of the nurses and staff were nice and professional. They ran every required test to ensure I was properly evaluated and helped with my pain level immediately. I felt safe and well cared for. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was for the actual condition of the ER — it’s a bit run down and in need of attention, but the service was well worth going to Sutter med ER of Roseville. I went in with signs of appendicitis, but that was ruled out with cat scan and ultrasound. They diagnosed my real problem within in 3 hours and treated me quickly. I am very thankful to all that helped me.

What is a definition of a emergency? I don’t know I guess splitting up blood at 23 weeks pregnancy is not. I am at a hour waiting to be seen. Don’t come here. Shame on them

If you are having a medical emergency, do not go here! They do not provide treatment service, as explained by the kind doctor on staff. I’ve only been to an ER once, so I’m not sure what ERs are for, if not for emergencies such as not being able to walk from an injury. I was appalled. Yes I have insurance and copay funds. To add injury to injury, yes, the hospital and doc billing company have billed me for over $ 2,000 for NO SERVICE. WTH?

Once again this place sucks!!! My grandmother broke her arm on MONDAY and still nothing has been done. She is in so much pain and the only thing they told us to do is wait for a call from her provider by Wednesday. We felt like we were ruining their day by being there. I am most def changing her from Sutter to kaiser. I am a kaiser member and I have never experience such a rude group of people. Their customer service is horrible and the ER rooms and waiting area are extremely dirty. I guess I should have learned the first time. If I could I would give it no stars.

Praveen is one of the kindest, most genuine, and funniest nurses I have ever met! He is the definition of a fantastic nurse… He came in and checked in on me frequently making sure all my needs were met! As he put it, he knows exactly what it feels like to be «on the other side of the gurney» so he handles his patients with great care. I gave this facility a 4 because I have not always had the best experience here but Praveen deserve 5 stars!

I went here about two months ago with bronchitis. I was treated quickly but the bills are outrageous. They charged for prescriptions that i never got from them (i had went to Walgreens and got them), They did a pregnancy test on me after i had already told them that i was not pregnant and charged me almost $ 200 for a test i did not need. I now owe them over $ 3,000 and i can’t possibly pay that.

I’ve been here a couple of times due to panic attacks (among other things) and the waterfall they have in here is SOOOO cool and relaxing! Super quick service-​especially compared to Kaiser.

Sutter is a very clean, and personable hospital, when ever something is needed the nurses get what u need right away, I was vey suprised and very pleased. Thanks for the great level of professionalism you give to your patients!!!

Registration was nice and fast. After getting passed the waiting room they were Suh-​Lowww as Molasses on a cold day!
Test for my sons strep came back negative. Still had pain for another 7 days and took him to another Dr. at Mt. Diablo and that test came back positive.
I think the dude at Sutter that took the culture didnt do a good job. Had he did, the diagnosis would have came back correct.

I’m here at the ER a few times a year due to illness. The staff here is always nice. On my worst day the staff makes me smile. Sutter Solano ER you Rock! If you must go to an ER see Sutter Solano! Thank you all.

This is a review of the Women’s Health/​Prenatal Dept…
I came in on an emergency visit. I’m a first time mom that is 7 ½ months pregnant. I was experiencing some Braxton Hicks contractions that became extremely painful. I called my Dr and I was told that after being diagnosed with GD, to not take any chances and to go to the Women’s Health Dept @ Sutter immediately. This hospital is very clean, the staff very professional and courteous. They had me in my own private room and hooked me up to the machine right away. They had genuine concern and they made me and my boyfriend very comfortable. I felt very taken care of and I can’t wait to have my baby there. I was sent home on bed rest for a few days and I was reassured that it was no big deal that I wasn’t in labor that it didn’t matter that there was nothing serious wrong. Very happy to hear. They are always there when I need them, and said they look forward to meeting my little girl in a few months! :-)

Had to go in again for another migraine at 4a.m. Monday morning. AMAZING. Dr. Becker was so great. All the nurses were so kind. I got my own exam room this time! Haha. But really, everyone was so nice. Everything was again clean and everyone introduced themselves this time. Wonderful people.

Horrible customer service, just horrible… How do you expect to gain revenue when the person who answers your call gives you such a hrd time to make an appointment… I was handed off somewhere else to make a referral first before coming, I said F that…

when i needed medical help with a migrane that lasted over 7 days and was making me sick i thought my visit was a dream come true! i signed a paper and showed them my medical insurance card they said they accepted and was in and out in less than an hour and never had a bed or anything just an IV with a few things to make the pain go away and a prescription i picked up at walgreens that next day which was super cheap.
WELL weeks later i got a bill for $ 1,000+ (that did not include the doctors fee which he didnt charge me anything because i NEVER made it passed the inside waiting area because it was going to take 15 minutes to do the whole thing!) AND THEY DID NOT ACCEPT MY INSURANCE EVEN THOUGH THE MAN UP FRONT SAID THEY DID! So i tried to figure it out but there was NOTHING showing why it was so high! and they still wont give me any reason MONTHS later!

If you’re ever in need of a trip to an ER, pay the extra or have someone drive you to the city. This ER is best compared to what you would expect from a 3^rd world country on a good day.
After having an episode of being dizzy for about an hour I called 911 with paramedics at my door within 3 minutes. On arriving to Sutter Solano I was asked the typical medical history questions and then some tech came to swab my entire arm with alcohol. I asked why the entire arm? Answer: «In case I can’t get a vein and need to try in another area.» If I can see the vein, I think you can see the vein, not a big deal. Well, after 4 sticks and misses I told him in a not so nice way to get the hell away from me.
Next up, Physicians Assistant. No thanks, you’re not a doctor, you don’t have the training to make a diagnosis, nor can you treat without first speaking with an MD.
Doc finally shows up after 1.8 hours and this is a slow night. Glad I wasn’t having a heart attack and where was the tech who was supposed to place me on a 12 lead EKG? Doc covered one or two possibilities and then had a RN escort me out the double security door to use a pay phone to get a cab home after determining that I had a case of vertigo.
This is the kind of facility that people actually die while waiting to be assessed and treated. I followed up the next day with my primary doc in the city. Looks like the ER missed something.
If you love someone, really care about their health, take them to a facility where they won’t become a statistic.

I had to return to Sutter Emergency again for chronic throat and sinus and with a sick person already in the home, I don’t need to get sick. My doctor never has available appointments so I went to Sutter again, Excellent service, concerned medical staff and I was out there within two hours. I am glad they are there.
