Kattastic Kare is a pet sitting service. We care for animals in their own home, maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. Visits are usually 30 to 40 minutes.

Your pets health and happiness is our top consideration. Feeding, maintaining clean drinking water along with waste removal are our primary service. Cuddling and play are also considered an important part of the job.

The security of your home is also important. We maintain, as much as possible, the collection of mail/​newspapers, watering of plants, garbage/​recycle to the curb and back along with alternating lights and blinds. We take care to double check that security systems are on and all doors are locked.

We care for indoor, indoor/​outdoor and outdoor pets.

History

Established in 2013.

Kattastic Kare was opened by Lisa Trace, a retired Vallejo school teacher, in February of 2013.

In our first year and a half we have cared for a variety of dogs and cats. Although most have been mutts, we have had the pleasure of caring for Viszlas, Chihuahuas, Persians and more. Even a large land tortoise is among our clients.

Life long animal lover raised in Ohio and Michigan.

In my late 20’s ended up moving to California and earning my teaching credential. I taught biology at Vallejo High School for 27 years.

Retirement called in 2012. I had always envisioned having some type of employment upon retirement that was not so stressful and fun. As consideration of retirement came close I decided to open a pet sitting business. After doing some research I registered a business name, got my business license, insurance, bonding, business email, business cards and website.
