Comcast Service Center

Comcast customer service is terrible. These days internet is basically mandatory, and after paying $ 90 a month you’d expect that they could pay enough employees to keep up with the demand on their call center. Nope. I’d almost rather get a tooth extracted than sit on the phone waiting for somebody to help me.

I don’t know how «service» could get much worse. I dropped into this «service» center to exchange a defective cable box. The customer «service» rep hardly spoke to me but did initiate the exchange. I told him I needed some coaching in re-​programming the remote. He dismissively handed me a «fresh out of the copy machine» sheet giving instructions. Of course, I do not have to tell you that an hour later I was still following the fresh instructions and the instructions that came in the package to no avail. Called Comcast. Waited the requisite 15 minutes to get a live person, gave my information for 5 minutes before getting any help. Help didn’t help. The young woman sent me through exactly the same exercises, to no avail. She scheduled a service call. What a pain in the neck! Lovely service man arrived right on time, picked up the remote, pushed one button twice and voila! everything was fixed. Of course I was stunned and asked what he had done. Apparently he had learned on his own that the new remote I had been given required that the «Infinity» button be pushed twice at some point in the re-​programming sequence. No one in the store on on the phone had the least idea this was necessary. The two sets of instructions given made no mention of this. This is absolutely lame, incompetent, lack luster service. I am stunned that Comcast would let this happen and that Comcast employees (except for the in-​person service provider) have so little pride in what they do that they fail to learn what is necessary to really provide help. Shame!!!

I mistakenly spoke with a representative of Xfininity at the Best Buy store in Vallejo where he tried to sign me up for services. Told him I would not make a decision that day but gave him my address to see if service is available at my location. Big mistake. Two days later I received two cable boxes and other equipment (which I did not order). I returned the equipment to the Comcast store in Vallejo, CA, got a receipt. I was told that a bill was already generated but just to ignore it because service (which I did not order). Less than a week later I received not one to TWO bills showing a balance due for service. What service? I again went to the store with the bills and explained I wanted something in writing with a zero balance. Representative said that it was in process but to give it a few more days. This is the computer age is it not. I explained I was leaving two on Friday. His reply was to give it a couple of days and come in the day before I am scheduled to depart. I dropped Comcast back in 2008 because of the lack of service and now to have to go through this to cancel what was not ordered is mind boggling. I’m pissed off.

Turns out during my last visit the information I received was COMPLETELY wrong!
I had X1 boxes that were several years old and when I had a service call yesterday with a tech that knew his stuff he replaced them with the newer X1 equipment that uses RF remotes and voice commands. Since I was using the cloud DVR service I no longer needed the X1 box with the hard drive, so that got replaced. In addition, my 2^nd anyroom DVR also had a newer, smaller, more reliable model, which he installed as well.
So, when I went into the service center and stated that I was a long time X1 customer, perhaps someone should have asked me about my equipment! Rather than getting accurate information about the cloud DVR service and getting appropriate equipment I was met with a load of misinformation. Wow folks, learn your own products!

I love this Comcast location! Employees are very friendly but most importantly very, very efficient. They have always take care of our needs and requests in a professional manner. We are always in and out in minutes.
I noticed there’s also stations to pay for your bill, seems convenient and I see a lot of people use it.
Also, they are open on Sundays!

Love the service and products but just four stars because of an employee promising something that was never applied. But Mike fixed the confusion and im enjoying the services i paid for in peace and fairness. Thank you guys

My review is about comcast in particular. Rude ass man showed up to do my installation. Oh hell no! Rude, attitude before he even walked through my door, wouldn’t listen to my questions. I ended up telling him to leave my property, of course my words weren’t near that nice!!!

Worst costumer service I have ever experienced in my life. They are not upfront with their costs. They lost my account records, Flaked on my scheduled installation, hung up the phone when I asked to speak to a manager. Avoid doing business with this company at all cost. If there is an afterlife for businesses then Comcast is going to hell!

Been here numerous times… why? I keep forgetting to pay my BILL! But each time i come in to pay my bill, the staff is nothing but courteous n empathetic with me… now im finally on auto payment… woooh. thank u Denzell!

If you have Xfinity1 for the quality and speed but didn’t sign up for the HD initially, try watching the «HELP» videos on how to understand and use the wonderful features of the Xfinity1. YOU CAN“T WITHOUT UPGRADING TO THEIR HD SERVICE! Say what?!! Does Best Buy sell rabbit eye antennas?

I fucking hate Comcast. If there was a better option out there I would run with the quickness. You would receive better treatment from Polpot or Hitler. Again fuck Comcast.

I came to this service center once to pick up a new cable box. We recently moved to Vallejo and were in the process of setting up Comcast service for our new home. I have experienced Comcast service in the past which is why we chose to go with them this time. This review is two fold:
1) The service center itself was nice, clean, and I was in and out quickly enough.
2) The second portion of my review is for Comcast itself. When I called to inquire about how much our monthly bill would be for what our needs are, I was quoted $ 130 a month. Great! I thought. That was still a bit high for television but I’m a faithful follower of my favorite shows and thought that I needed cable. So first if all, we never received any kind of bill in the mail and were notified very late of an overdue balance of $ 333!!! How on earth the $ 130 I was quoted morphed into $ 333 I wasn’t sure. I called to question the amount due and was told that my original quote did not include taxes, which still did not amount to such a high bill in my mind. I asked what day of the month the bill was actually due and was told the 16^th. So I said, Great so I can pay the monthly bill on the 16^th of this month and then nothing further will be due until the 16^th of next month. right? Wrong. Their billing cycle is so complicated and it seemed the more questions I asked, the guy on the phone became increasingly irritated with me. I told him that what he was telling me just didn’t make sense. With how he explained it, I am going be billed twice a month as payments go towards the month that has passed not the upcoming one. So in other words, if I don’t pay double what I was quoted originally each month, the cable gets shut off and I have to pay a reinstatement fee. Absolutely ridiculous. I feel as though I’ve been swindled and am considering telling them to just cancel everything completely. TV & internet is definitely not worth $ 300 a month to me… and that’s without any premium channels or movie rentals…

This review isn’t about this location in particular. It is about Comcast as a whole. Have had nothing but problems with them. I have spent so many hours on the phone with them that I have given up even keeping track. I had by service suspended because I of charges that I did not make and while I tried disputing them they demanded that I pay for fraudulent charges before they turned the service back on. I could go on and on… but 2 thoughts…1. I am usually not for govt intervention but this industry is monopolistic and needs to be broken up to spark real competition, & 2. If there are other service providers in your area, use them.

I’ve been a comcast (sucker) customer for 10 plus years. 11 months ago I called the customer loyalty department because my bill was too high for what I was getting out of it. They talked me into the X1 system and gave me faster internet and a bunch of premium channels for a reduced price.
Comcast didn’t do my install, OCC did my install. They failed in every way shape and form. I had comcast send out their real techs 3 more times to get it working! So I thought.
The next 9 months were nothing less than frustrating and expensive. Constant error messages, empty apologies and going no where solutions, and no accountability by comcast.
I took all my stuff back to their office in vallejo. Turned it all in. They responded by slapping me with an early termination fee of $ 105.00 and no apologies.
I would compare comcast to bank of America, way to big to care, way to rich to be taken down by screwing over customers and way to greedy to charge a fair price for services.
Never again will I trust them, nor will I EVER recommend them to a customer or friend. If you are looking for tv and Internet service, don’t stop here. Consider At&t, direct tv, or rabbit ears before you sign up with these guys. They are thick as thieves and they WILL take advantage of you.

Going on 25 minutes of standing in a line that I may or may not need to be standing in. No one in the store has acknowledged me yet. Am I standing in the right place, who knows…

Do yourself a favor, stay away from Comcast’s internet service at ALL costs. I’ve been a customer for nearly three years, have spent more than $ 3000 on service, and have been disappointed over and over again with the reliability of service, customer service, and ease of getting a problem resolved. Comcast is HORRIBLE!!! Probably spent over 25 hours with customer service just to get the service they we’re paying them about $ 100 a month for (web only service). RIDICULOUS. I would give them a half star, but that doesn’t seem to be an option.

I have had it since what every company they took over way back in the day. Nothing against the people that work for the local store near my house it’s not their fault. It’s the service they provide an the constant BILL fluctuations! Everyone I know has dropped them and so much happier with any other provider they chose. From the bills an what they pay to programming an service. Plus Comcast has no such thing as costumer loyalty. Also Lord help you if you need any customer support over the phone if you speak English your in real trouble because you are not speaking with anyone who has basic English skills on their tech support lines…

After speaking with over 20 more representatives and supervisors my cable and internet still has not been restored because the technician that they’re allegedly scheduling to come out never shows. I’ve been, patronized by a few very rude managers and I am at my wits end with this company. I have cancelled my services with them and I don’t ever plan on coming back. These people do not care about you or your services. They will talk down on you and offer you a piddly 20 $ credit until you eventually submit. I’m taking my hard earned cash else where. Comcast, you and your sorry out sourced call center bad English Filipino representatives can kick rocks.

If you would like to be continuously charged for equipment that your not using, and doesn’t exist, then this is the company for you.
We moved into an office that had a comcast modem left behind by a previous tenant. We brought our own modem and never used theirs. They charged us anyway. We complained. They gave us a credit and then after a few months the charges returned. We even went so far as to bring the old modem, that was never ours, back to them. Yet, they continually sneak it onto our bill.
The sheer amount of hours I have spent trying to not be robbed by these people is ridiculous. They also insist on sending us television equipment despite the fact we don’t have televisions. We return the equipment, they send it back. It’s a farce.
You are better off not having wifi then getting in bed with these clowns.

Now here’s a little story bout a rep named Ken!
He was craz amaze!!!
Initially walking in there is usually a line that hits the door. But I came just when the time was right! Ken helped my hubby and me with our little mishap. Comcast always over bills… and it’s a pain waiting on the Telly. So we decided to show up.
Ken cleared everything up for us. He was making funny jokes and super smiley! We want to hang out with this guy he was so friendly! A great tip: come into the store at 6:45ish right before closing time during a weekday and you’ll be helped in no time!
