History

Established in 2002.

Sing, Sign & Play is a family tradition of fun and learning in the Santa Clarita Valley. Ms. Moira actively embraces music and education for the very young everyday, and she was recognized as a Kindermusik Maestro in 2005, and has also co-​developed curriculum for both Signing Smart™ and Kindermusik International™.

Raised in a family of 12, Ms. Moira was inspired by her father and mother who managed to always make time to read, play and entertain with their children.

Studying opera with Dr. David Scott at Cal State University Northridge, Ms. Moira brings her wonderful voice to «work» each day, and in her classes creates a powerful connection between music, learning and play time.

Since starting her own family, and personally experiencing the powerful learning that sign language and music ignite, Ms. Lamb has poured her own love for communicating with the littlest ones into Sing, Sign & Play. Business Owner

Moira McCarty Lamb, the founder of Sing, Sign & Play, and Musical Stepping Stones, is a Licensed Music Together® Instructor, a Kindermusik® recognized Maestro, and a Board Certified Signing Smart® Instructor.

Ms. Lamb has been involved in the development of curriculum for both Signing Smart and Kindermusik International. She is a sought after teacher, who is featured in the Santa Clarita Library’s story tellers series, and was a featured speaker at the California Association for Music Education CMEA conference in 2005.

«Ms. Moira,» as she’s affectionately known by her students, teaches weekly music and sign language classes to toddlers and pre-​school age children. The classes continue to grow by word of mouth, and continue to attract new and returning students alike.
