Poochies Mobile Grooming

I just want to say that Sherry really knows what she is doing when grooming dogs, especially mine!!! I found out about Sherry when I saw her truck parked out by next door neighbors grooming their dog. I figured I would give her a call and give it a shot. Best decision I EVER made!!! I took my dog to pet smart grooming last week and mind you I have a Golden Retriver normally after a groom they’re supposed to look gorgeous, well not this time… My poor dog was completely botched from head to toe LITERALLY! Her hair was chopped in ways I’ve never seen before, nails weren’t cut, ears not cleaned, still damp, teeth not brushed, etc. I could honestly go on… I ended up asking them for my FULL REFUND! Felt totally taken advantage of and not only that my dogs hair looked terrible! Today, Sherry really fixed Lilly’s hair and I couldn’t be happier! We will be seeing you next month– thanks again so much for being so great with my dog and grooming her as if it were your own :) major thumbs up!

Another person who can’t handle the truth. I waited months to post the review because she threatened me. She’s a piece of work. You are a dog groomer, your ego does not match your skill set.

I’ve been using Sherry for about 3 years now, every six weeks, and highly recommend her. I have two high maintenance Havanese that she does an amazing job on. She’s a pro at scissor cutting, which was a must for me. I love how she really listens to what I want done and doesn’t mind me changing up their cuts from time to time. She’s really easy to talk to and helpful answering my grooming questions so that I am using the right tools and techniques in between appointments. Sherry stays booked, but once you get in to her rotation its not a problem.
I took a chance on Poochies 3 years ago… so glad I did!

I can’t say enough great things about Sherry! She has been grooming our Scranton puggle for a few years now and she’s the best ever! He has a usual bath and groom every few months in less than an hour, she comes by in between for a quick nail clip when his dew claws get too long. Today’s visit she included teeth cleaning for a very good price and NO ANESTHESIA. He had never had his teeth cleaned before and they are sparkling! She uses the same equipment as the vets, but having lost a puppy to anesthesia, I stay away from such procedures if at all possible. Highly recommend Sherry!

The owner’s mobile truck is old, tired, loud and the exhaust permeates many houses around the area she parks to do her work. When my wife and I let her know her truck’s exhaust made the air in our house unlivable she was rude and defensive. We understand she has a job to do, but she has no right to put the homes nearby in a cloud of old-​engine exhaust and create so much noise we can’t use our phones — for hours.

As she was leaving in a rage, because she was caught abusing my dogs, she hit my brand new Lexus and ran. She is a criminal!

I read all the glowing reviews so I made an appointment. However, the day of my appointment my dog became seriously ill and had to be hospitalized. I called to cancel and asked if I can reschedule when I get the ok from my vet. She told me that because I didn’t give 24 hour notice I would be charged a $ 35 fee. WHAT!!! My dog had an emergency, was extremely sick, and was in the hospital. I don’t know any business that would still charge someone if they missed an appointment because of an emergency. She didn’t even ask if my dog was going to be ok. This woman may be an amazing groomer but she has horrible customer service. I am taking my business elsewhere.

I am SO very thankful to have found Poochies and Sherry! We rescued our miniature poodle/​jack russel/​shitzu mix a little over a year ago and he had many fears at first. We tried another groomer but our dog just didn’t warm up to the whole situation even after several tries. I was nervous to try another one because it’s so hard to see your dog scared to leave to get groomed and being that he was adopted who knew what kinds of experiences he had had in the past. This is one of the main reasons I wanted a mobile groomer. I couldn’t imagine leaving our rescue dog at a groomers in a small space all day with a bunch of other dogs (he doesn’t love other dogs so this works well for us).
The first time using Poochies I was worried the whole time he was in the truck (because of past experience) but when he came back in the house he was happy and looked adorable and so clean!!! We have used Sherry every other time since then and our dog continues to get more comfortable each time he goes out to the truck to get groomed. Sherry loves dogs and is also very knowledgeable about them which adds to my comfort level because I can ask her questions and she is helpful.
Sherry herself is lovely as well. She sends a reminder text the day before and if she is running late she will text you to let you know. And she is always a smiling face showing up at my door. We chat every time before and after my dog gets groomed.
I highly recommend Poochies!!!

I’ve had some not-​terrible-​but-​not-​great experiences with groomers in Santa Clarita, so I was in the market for a new groomer. Already in the back of my mind was the groomer that gave the wrong dog to the wrong person and that dog ended up dead. My dog isn’t a purebred and it’s not likely that anyone is going to mistake my dog for their lookalike purebred, so I rationalized that this could never happen to my dog and I was looking for what I call a «drop off» groomer — the kind of groomer you drive your dog to and leave there for however long it takes to finish grooming the dog. Then I heard about the poor pit bull that strangled himself at the groomers because they tied him up outside and left him alone. That’s when I decided I would never take my dog to a «drop off» groomer again. I was now in the market for a mobile groomer.
I did find Poochies on Unilocal,but didn’t rely solely on Unilocal reviews in my decision to use Poochies. I did a little more research before deciding I was comfortable handing my dog over to Poochies. There’s something very comforting knowing your dog is right in front of your house and the groomer’s attention is devoted 100% to your dog and not the 10 other dogs they have to finish that day. Mobile groomers are more expensive, but in the grand scheme of things, they’re not that much more, and it’s totally worth it (to me) to know my dog is right outside my kitchen window and I can check on him any time I want. And when I say mobile groomers are not that much more expensive, Poochies has run me anywhere from $ 15 to $ 30 more than what I’ve paid at «drop off» groomers; just depends on how overgrown and matted my dog is. Totally worth it to me for peace of mind.
That being said, my dog’s coat is always an overgrown, matted mess when I hand him off to Poochies. Sherry is amazing. Absolutely freaking amazing. My boy hadn’t been groomed in five months and had half the yard stuck in his coat this last time. I think this is the worst his coat has been. When I handed him over to Sherry, I was thinking she would probably blacklist me after this most recent visit. Oh my gawd, my baby looks like a giant cotton ball. He’s beautiful. I can’t believe how good he looks. He wouldn’t stay still for me to take a good picture of him tonight, but I have other pix from when Sherry has groomed him that I will post. And if I can get him to stay still long enough, I’ll post some pix from today’s grooming.
If you’re in the market for a mobile groomer, give Poochies a try. I’ve been using Poochies for almost two years and am very happy with them.

I needed a mobile groomer for my dog since I just had a baby and didn’t really have time to drop my dog off at a groomer and then pick him up hours later. I decided to search on Unilocal for one and came across Poochie’s. I called and left a message for Sherry who called me back the same day. Luckily I was able to schedule something for my dog within a couple of days because Sherry had a cancellation. I am very impressed with her and my dog looks so cute! I have been to so many groomers, here in California and also in North Carolina. Of all of the groomers, Sherry is the best! You can really tell she loves her clients (humans and pooches alike). I will be using her from now on and suggest you do the same! Thank you Sherry!

Sherry is AMAZING & I will never use anyone else from now on! I’ve tried several groomers around my neighborhood and my shih-​tzu, Mia, would try to pull me back out the door whenever we entered a grooming salon — I should have taken her advice :) This is the second time we have used Sherry and Mia runs to her and licks her to death, what a difference in her reaction to a groomer! She always comes out fresh as a daisy and oh so cute, check out the pic I posted. Sherry sends a text the day before to remind you about your appointment. She arrives right on time and if she is ever running late she will give you plenty of notice. It takes roughly about an hour, so much faster than other groomers I’ve used. It’s also incredibly convenient to stay home and have her come to you. I can’t say enough good things, and Mia loves her which is all I need to know!

Sherry is really great with our two Yorkies. We’ve used to take them to other groomers, drop them off and then have to rush back to pick them up. No need to worry about convenient times to do this as Sherry appears at our doorstep on time everytime. We even get a confrimation call from her a day or two before the appointments.
My dogs just love her and run to her when they see her!

The reviews on here helped so much. Just moved to Valencia from out of state and have 2 Maltese dogs 10 & 11. Sherry is here now just groomed one dog and i am very impressed… can already recommend with five stars and then some. Knowledge and skill amazing, very caring and professional. This was also my first mobile experience. Thanks for taking great care of my babies they look awesome!

We’ve used Sherry twice now & love her! She’s very friendly & accommodating. We have three dogs so it’s extremely convenient for her to come to us to do the grooming. Our pups come out looking & smelling fantastic. We highly recommend her!

Poochie’s Mobile grooming is so convenient! The owner is very friendly and a top professional. She is a second generation pro-​groomer and grooms breeds to AKC SHOW DOG standards. She groomed our dogs beautifully and the groom lasts longer because she actually scissor-​trimmed the fur rather than just sculpting to hide things. She certainly has a passion for her work and we will be recommending her to all of our friends. Show-​dog or not, your dog DESERVES to look the very BEST! :)

What a great idea, staying at home while the groomer comes to you! Sherry was very pleasant and upbeat from our first conversation. I adpopted my pooch over a week ago and although he looked nice, underneath he was a matted mess. After calling several groomers no-​one would shave him unless he received a bath, but unfortunately, he had just been neutered, so he could not get wet, and I knew he might be in pain because of the hair pulling his skin.
I finally find Sherry and not only did she offer to give him a hair cut/​shave she also offered to give him a dry bath so he could smell good and be a bit cleaner. She arrived on time. Her truck was immaculant and had lots of great equipment. She finished my dog in record time and he looked great. I could tell he was happier with his haircut and freedom.
I will be using Poochies Mobile Grooming again. Thanks Sherry for a great job!
