Culinary Wonders

First Time but it won’t be the last. I went for a networking opportunity but to my surprise the place was great and food excellent!

This was a fun experience. Friends and I are planning on going to Spain so Culinary Wonders was doing a food and wine pairing of the foods from Spain. Chef Judy and Chef Herve gave a great demonstration of the foods for us to enjoy and try in a very intimate setting, loved it!

My husband and I absolutely love this cooking school! Chefs Herve and Christine are fun, patient and great instructors. The food they helped us create was delicious. I think we’re hooked — we’ve already signed up for another class.

Culinary Wonders is truly a gem — not only have I learnt skills that make me a better cook, but Chef Judy and Chef Herve create an atmosphere that is warm, relaxing and fun. I’ve taken several classes over the last few months; a few with my daughter, several on my own, and I just brought my teenage son with me to a class last week and he had a great time! Likely because he got to eat — we made a terrific meal and could enjoy and appreciate what he helped prepare.
I’ve met terrific people in the class, at first I was apprehensive about attending a class alone, but I’ve made some friends in the classes.
The variety of classes is also really good — I always find something that is new and interesting. I have been attending at least one a month for the last few months.

Given that I am a chef, I don’t get much of a chance to go to classes. But I surprised the hubby with a date night to a wine pairing class at Culinary Wonders. What a blast. Chef Herve and Judy work beautifully together.
They demonstrated a great Cuban shrimp dish, crab cakes, bone marrow and chocolate mousse for dessert. Not only did I enjoy listening to them teach, but a learned to cook bone marrow — something I had never done before.
The atmosphere of this Friday night class was quaint and unassuming. The class flowed nicely and the food was just delicious. They are not pretentious and are welcoming if you are a professional or a home cook.
Very little down time and great wines and spirits. Thanks guys for a lovely evening.

Chef Herve and Chef Judy are proprietors of this wonderful little cooking school where you can attend themed nights on a class-​by-​class basis. We have attended a cocktail & appetizer night that was all mixed and prepared for us. The mixologist was entertaining and gave us great tips. After that, we attended an ice cream making night where we did the hands-​on cooking of maple-​bacon ice cream on fresh, hot waffles-​fantastic! Last night was ravioli — see my pictures if you want to get hungry! Chef Herve is charming and French– lovely accent and sense of humor! Chef Judy is sweet and so helpful! Great place! Highly recommended!

Me and my husband enjoyed our cooking class with chefs Herve and Judy so much we can’t wait to go back again. I learned some new skills (all these years I have been using a lime press wrong-​lol). The food was great, and all the other attendees were a lot of fun.

Daughter loves cooking and she went for a few kids classes during her summer break. Judy was very friendly and loved the kids. My daughter loved her classes. I had used a Livingsocial coupon before and now I have signed her up again for 3 classes (1 in September and 2 in October). Highly recommended if you or your kid loves cooking.

I really enjoy Culinary Wonders and Chefs Herve and Judy! I’ve taken 5 classes now and have my next 2 scheduled. The classes are fun and the food is great! They’ve made me a more confident cook — I used to be bound to a recipe but I’ve become more comfortable with different flavors, additions, and actual technique. I know some people have commented on the cost of the of the classes but when you account for the amazing food you make, nice wines or beers to enjoy with your meal and the instruction — not to mention they take care of all the ingredients and cleaning — I think its totally worth it! Enjoy learning more about cooking in a fun environment!

I took for the first time the Thai cooking class and it was amazing. Chef Judy and Chef Herve are great! I learned a lot. The full course meal and the lessons are all worth it! I signed up for another class and im sure im going to sign up for more!

I took 2 classes and had so much fun both times. Not only I had fun, I learned something new. I even signed my kid up for the kid’s spring break class, he had so much fun and wants to do it again.
I wish their classes are not as pricey though. If they could offer a package deal, that would be great!

I booked a private party to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Chef Judy and Chef Herve were so nice and fun and the food was delicious. This is a great place to have a celebration or any get together. I would definitely recommend Culinary Wonders to anyone.

I am so happy that this business was opened up in the SCV. Chefs Herve and Judy are such a fun team to work with. I have recommended this place to many of my friends. If you are looking for a fun date night or a night out with friends this is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back and learn something new.

I attended my first event here tonight and I can’t wait to go back. This place is amazing! The staff are excellent, the place is clean, neat and well-​stocked, the food was excellent and no one did not have a great time.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about cooking. The teachers are professional chefs and they really know what they’re doing. You will walk away with skills that will amaze your family and friends. And you’ll be well fed to boot.

My friends bought my bf and I a gift certificate to this place and it was so much fun! Chef/​owner was really sweet and the food we prepared was yummy and bountiful. I would recommend this to couples or group of friends to share in the fun.

We have been here twice for participation classes. We took a pasta making class a month ago and had a blast. Everything is very hands on, well organized and thoroughly explained as you go along. You eat everything you prepare and leave with easy to follow recipes so you can make the meals again.
Last night we returned with friends and made our Valentines dinner. After a round of chocolate martinis (what a nice surprise), we started preparing our shrimp scampi, pan-​seared Petit Fillet Mignon, reduction sauce and sauteed vegetables. When everything was done, we settled in for a great meal as well as several well selected wine choices.
If you really want to try something fun, improve your cooking skills while injoying a great meal, this is the place. Classes are small enough that you get plenty of individual help and all your questions answered. Our friends have attended classes elsewhere, so we were iterested to see what they thought of the experience. They said this was the best class they had been to and are already planning to attend a future class. You really learn, pick up a few chefs secrets and the best part, at the end of the night-​no dishes!

Check this place out! Wonderful people, great classes and a lot of fun. We were given a cooking class as a gift and are so happy we went. The food was amazing and now we can go home and (attempt) to cook it ourselves. Give this place a change you will not regret it!
