The Cheg Jay is a nice guy, I wish I had spoken to him before I ordered. After a oatmeal(looking) risoto I had to meet him. Not going back.

We ordered the Kobe steak for $ 120. It was terrible and was not Waygu Kobe beef. The salmon was tasteless. The trout and noodle dishes were equally bland. I have had the Pork Shank in the past and have been satisfied. I will not eat here again. Loud noise level. Service was good.

This was the best place we ate at on the trip. If you don’t want to go wrong go with squash soup, hummus(eat all the things that come with in one bite), the chopped kale BLT salad, and then the magnificent crispy pork shank! That pork shank was amazing, it was huge, tender, and worth every penny. The waiter Josh was great too. We shall come back. Didn’t try anything else so can’t say anything about other items.

Been coming to Atwater since it was Chaps when I worked there. The Pheasant soup is amazing. The lamb t-bone is a good choice. The pizza is not good though. Tasted like frozen pizza, not worth the money. Also I don’t know what’s up with the desserts as they only do cupcakes. Cupcakes are good and all but not what I expect from a restaurant like this. I like this restaurant but they need to rethink the desserts and pizza.

I really wanted to like this place, but the only thing I really liked was the location and ambiance. My caesar salad dressing was so incredibly salty I couldn’t finish it. I never knew dressing could be that salty! The half chicken had a sauce on it that was incredibly tart and was poured over everything on the plate. My husband got the sirloin grilled cheese. The fries, meat and bread was good, but the cheese medley just tasted like American cheese. We were really disappointed because we had been looking forward to eating there.

My family and I ate here for dinner. Everything was exceptional. The service and food were 5 stars. I am rarely happy with a restaurant located within a resort or hotel. This place is the exception. I would recommend this restaurant.

This place is ridiculously unprofessional … We came at 7:45 pm and the hostess said it would be a 45 min wait even though there were ATLEAST30 tables opened. My husband asked why the wait and she rudely replied because a lot of people just came and there wasn’t enough servers. So we left to wait. I looked into making reservations the night before and there were plenty of open slots so I didn’t worry about it. So out of curiosity I got onto open table and checked into remaining reservations and there was one for 8:15 so I made that one instead of waiting until 8:30. When we arrived at the host table at 8:15 the girl said«that’s interesting» and walked away to get her supervisor. The supervisor said she couldn’t shut down their reservation website even thought they weren’t able to accommodate reservations. We asked if we could just sit at a table and she said yes but she would rather us wait at the door. We asked to be seated. Our waiter was super friendly and said it wasn’t a big deal. I wish that if a resort in vail Colorado was going to offer a groupon to increase their occupancy for the off season that they would adequately staff their only restaurant that they have. We were treated poorly and expect more from a supposedly«classy» dinning option in vail.

Pretty good food but our service was atrocious! Our server would disappear for half and hour at a time to the point that we would finally have to get the attention of another waiter to put in orders, and the restaurant was fairly empty. When he did show up he never once apologized or seemed interested at all. The food was pretty good when it came but an hour for apps another hour for entrees and finally dessert we just took to go because we didn’t want to wait anymore. Others seemed to have better luck with their servers as several tables sat, ate, and chit chatted before leaving, before we even had food. But it certainly left a sour taste in my mouth.

The food was good but the prices were very high. I had the Thai noodles a salad and a desert for $ 39. It was good but not what I would expect for that price. It’s not that I was disappointed, I just wasn’t impressed

The evening started out nice then after our appetizers, our server disappeared. There were quite a few families with young children. Not a place for a romantic dinner for two. Food was«ok» — my wife had the noodle bowl and I had the Kobe beef. I had high expectations based on our servers recommendations. I was not impressed. It was tough, not the melt in your mouth experience he touted.

If you have food allergies, you must go here. They don’t advertise having gluten-free options or being accommodating of food allergies, but it was seriously the most accommodating restaurant I’ve ever been at for food allergies(and mine are extensive — gluten, nuts, shellfish, sesame…). The food was good, the servers were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable(after my boyfriend ordered hummus and pita, they came back to make sure I knew that the hummus had sesame which so many people, including my boyfriend, forget!). I went in for the breakfast buffet too, resigned to not eat, or just have some pieces of fruit, but they were able to make me a gluten-free breakfast sandwich(for much less than the breakfast buffet, too). I had no issues with cross contamination or getting sick and will definitely go back the next time I’m in Vail.

Wow! What a treat! The menu was varied and intriguing. It was indeed hard to choose. Get the Crispy Pork Shank and come hungry. It will not disappoint! The Diver Scallops, Salmon, butternut squash soup, pot o mussels, warm spinach salad, charcuterie platter, and warm bread(with homemade butter and a cranberry jam) were thoroughly enjoyed by all in our party. Nice wine list as well. Other interesting menu items that we debated getting were the lamb chops, the numerous steaks and the Colorado lamb meatballs. Our waiter was definitely knowledgeable about the menu. The menu had beer pairing suggestions for most dishes. We didn’t come with children but saw many there as pizza was on the menu and it is located within a hotel. The dessert menu was underwhelming. We were a little dressed up in black pants and dark jeans but many were there in completely casual clothes(think Khaki shorts and fleece vests) and that was fine. There were tables and booths. Some tables were the tall ones with tall chairs. They had live music in the bar area immediately outside the restaurant and as we were sitting in the 1st room, we were able to hear it, which was fine with us as the singer was very good. The wait staff was also very good.

Excellent food, set in vail cascade resort. My husband took our kids for breakfast while I attended a meeting(so I never had breakfast here), we had lunch and dinner here each once. Both were excellent: particularly the mussels, butternut squash soup, bison burger, salads & vegetables are very fresh. Prices are high and beware of room service: we ordered 4 desserts one night on a splurge. Each one was charged $ 2 more than menu stated, restaurant/hotel added a delivery charge AND22% service fee, which brought our four desserts to $ 76. Ridiculous. If the regular food weren’t good that would knock them down to 2 – 3 stars.

This place is awesome! We bring our kids here for a mini vacation, totally kids friendly! I also come solo for business and I love the fact that the bar is separated from the restaurant. Sometimes just having some quiet time alone while you eat and enjoy a good meal is the best thing ever!!! As far as the food, I love their Seafood Pasta Mussels for starter! I also enjoy the menu on the grill! Pizza is excellent, the kids loves it and so does the honey! Customer service is excellent! Cheers!

The food was delicious! And there’s a nice view of the mountain and small river. The cheeseburger was made to perfection and juicy with just the right amount of cheese. My fiancé loved her turkey burger and our daughters Mac n cheese was unbelievable! We all had sweet potato fries and again no disappointment! The restaurant is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it.

We decided to come here for brunch on Sunday. We were PUMPED to find out kids 5 and under eat at the buffet for free!!! That is awesome!!! 5 and under WOW. That right there gets 5 starts alone. Includes juice/milk for the kiddos and the whole adult buffet. When we were there they had an amazing fresh fruit spread, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, oatmeal and fixings, bagels, flavored cream cheeses, bread, jams, yogurt parfaits and pastries. The buffet comes with coffee as well. I decided to order off the menu and got the egg white omelet with goat cheese, tomatoes and onions. I wish the menu had said it came with hash browns because I try to eat healthy and would have subbed those for another side so they just stayed on the plate. The omlet was good as well. We would defintly be back when in the area again!

Vail, Colorado– I am impressed! Aside from the butternut squash soup and a side salad there wasn’t much in the way of vegan which bummed me out. The chef actually came to the table to welcome us and he created a dish which was just fabulous using the beet patty(that tastes nothing like raw beets) and fresh seasonal vegetables. It was flavorful, varied in color and texture, and was delightful to eat. The ambiance, smooth music playing overhead, and the mountain views are appreciated. I enjoyed a glass of wine; for the craft beer lover(my bf) you’ll enjoy the selection.

Being the resident Unilocaler(umm, only Unilocaler) in my ski group of 15, I was put in charge of eating out options. A slight headache as with any big varied group trying to cater for different budgets, English fussiness with food and one vegetarian Vail being an expensive resort generally, I was grateful for Atwater. Considering it’s located in the posh Vail Cascade resort, I was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of dishes and the very reasonable prices As our accommodation was in East Vail, we took the free shuttle to the Vail Transportation Centre in Vail Village. Then, we took the free Cascade resort shuttle bus, which was a surprise bonus. We dubbed it the disco bus because there was disco music complete witgh flashing lights! The restaurant was suitably posh and they efficiently sorted out a table for our group. Service was great throughout My group took advantage of the range on the menu, ordering soup to bison burgers to fine dining dishes. I went for the intriguingly named crispy pork shank. As you’d expect, the portions were suitably American sized — enormous! My pork shank was excellent. Sweet crispy exterior with tender moist meat. The rest group also enjoyed their meals Worth a trip for the meal, especially on the disco bus!
