History
Established in 1972.
It all began more than 40 years ago when Ismael and Guillermina Villasenor left their hometown in Mexico to make a new life in the United States. Guillermina thought that she was leaving her hometown to go «dancing with the stars» and live happily ever after.
The pair immigrated from Mexico to San Francisco in the 1960’s and later moved to Napa.
The move to Napa was the beginning of Ismael’s ambitious desire to have his own business and create his own Mexican foods. In 1972 his little family business started as «Villa Azteca». Ismael was in charge of the kitchen, while Guillermina was the person who made everyone feel as if they were at home. Their children all worked right along their side. Ismael was a creative soul who had an urge to bring to Napa the taste that he missed and longed for from his home in Mexico.
In December 1997, we opened our 2nd location in Vacaville. The 3rd opened in St. Helena (1999) & the 4th at the Nut Tree in Vacaville (2006).

Carlos V.
Business Owner
Carlos V. is the owner of both Vacaville locations and the catering service. He grew up in the family business that started in 1972 and opened his own business on December 1st, 1997. A second location was opened at the Nut Tree on July 12th, 2006 and he also operates a catering business.
