Worst dealership ever!
Have owned Toyota cars my entire life. Passed by this dealership and settled on a brand new car. The dealership people made me feel like family and kept saying they’d take good care of me. Bullshit! Had an issue recently and they didn’t help me at all. Won’t be back here again!
Advice: read the other reviews. They have a 2star rating for a reason! I wish I would have :(

My husband And I bought a car from this dealership on Memorial Day weekend. The service was excellent. They matched the lowest price around to give us a really great deal. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for great service and pricing.

Honesty is not their best policy. Called them to see about getting my lease extended. This went no where. Was told by one of their associates that lease extensions almost never happen and it was a waste of time to try. They were more then happy to try to get me into a new car. Called back and asked for a manager. He stated that I did not qualify for an extension. I then called Toyota Financial services and they said it was no problem. Toyota Vacaville sales proceeded to call me almost everyday for a month to talk about new car options for the end of my lease. They also never mentioned the $ 350 leased disposition fee. Loved the car, but absolutely hated doing business with these guys. Highly encourage customers go to another dealership.

Don’t waste your time going in. They’re ridiculous and as nice as their management (Chris) may seem, they’re just out to lie and get your money. Been dragged in twice to just get BS’d. Salesman Samoan is honest and real. I got a phone call explaining they will give me top dollar for my trade in, it blue books (trade in) for $ 22k and they offered me $ 14k for my truck. In addition, MSRP was $ 43k but marked the vehicle up to $ 50k for no reason. Also, they wouldn’t let me test drive the vehicle I went in to purchase. How am I supposed to buy a car I’ve never driven? Like I said, don’t waste your time, they’re out for your money, to screw with you and waste your time. You’re welcome in advance.

I bought a new Corolla from Vacaville Toyota. I also bought a Vehicle Service Agreement (VSA). However, the finance guy Scot wanted $ 2400 for it. I have bought similar stuff for less than half that price and he promptly agreed to sell me for $ 1250. (A drop of $ 1150 47.9% in just one second). He is that typical car salesman that your grandma dreads!
Next, he specified the mileage up to which the VSA would go. 120,000 miles. We verbally agreed on it. I signed the contract on the touch pad, thinking it was correct. However, later on, on the paper copy of the contract he wrote only 100, 000 miles.
Please note that they make you sign on touch pad and don’t provide the paper that has all the details. The paper contract with all details is given at the end, after signing. However, on the paper contract they write: «…YOU CONFIRM THAT BEFORE YOU SIGNED THIS CONTRACT WE GAVE IT TO YOU, AND YOU WERE FREE TO TAKE IT AND REVIEW IT…» That is factually incorrect.
I made multiple attempts to resolve, but they don’t care much. I am afraid, I will have to waste my time in a small claims court.
Buyer be aware. Never trust this car dealer!
If I could give them negative rating, I would. One star is way too much. Zero star would be more appropriate.

These guys and gals are definitely a proper group. Sorry mom «men and women». We dropped off the car for a service and the service dude told us we had a recall that could get done the same day. We got a call about an hour after dropping off and they found a nail in the tire and a brake light out. The price was great so I had them fix both. We finished lunch and before we paid the lunch tab they called to say the car was ready and they even offered to pick us up from the restaurant. We scheduled the next appointment and noticed how chill everyone was. They tech guy came out and showed us the massive screw that was in my tire and the burnt bulb. I’ve found my new service crew for sure.

This place is a scam. I had been dealing with them for 7 years and have been jerked around and lied to. Today was the last straw. I needed tires for my wife’s car and received a coupon for buy 3 tires get the 4^th for $ 1. The promotion on the coupon said it ran 4÷1÷16−5÷31÷16. We went down there ⁵⁄₃ and was told it had ended on ⁴⁄₃₀. They would not honor the coupon and said it was a typo. The sales person said the owners had made the error. He said they had received several coupons and we’re not honoring any of them. I’m done with this place and their service department. I’ve been scammed on several parts and services that weren’t needed and didn’t find out til later. This place needs new ownership and management.

Toyota Vacaville reached out and honored the coupon. Shouldn’t require a poor Unilocal review to get decent customer service.

I had my car serviced at this Toyota of Vacaville, an oil change and a 5 point inspection. I was having some issues with my Toyota and trusted this dealership would be as good as my dealership back home in Santa Barbara. Not the case at all, I knew something was off with my car after I got it back… I only got the oil services (they were supposed to top off all others), because what I needed done to fix my car was quite a bit and they quoted me a very high dollar amount! So I went elsewhere to get a second opinion/​quote. First thing I was right something was off about my car it sounded really loud when I would turn on the engine. I thought it was a muffler issue nope it was much simpler than that. Toyota’s technician left the oil cap loose like just plopped on the hole where the oil goes, right so what happens when they do a «rookie mistake» as I was told, once I confronted Toyota with this, well you get oil all over your engine, you lose oil for obvious reasons and well the car runs like crap! Then we found that the coolant was bone dry, well the container where the coolant is supposed to go, had zero coolant. What happened there, well they forgot, we were busy (Toyota) wow now I have Trust issues with you Toyota Vacaville!!! Plus I have to now go back and have you clean off the oil that sprayed all over my engine, and refill the oil that as lost and also be without my car while you fix this «Rookie mistake». No Toyota Vacaville I will not need my car fixed by you and or any other services in the future, really! Plus I got the work done elsewhere for FAR LESS!!!

I am absolutely appalled by the lack of service! I came in 2 – 3 months ago for a tire pressure light, and they told me that I had battery corrosion. The service tech said they could clean it up and install bands for a fee. Not only did these unprofessional techs leave rags in my car, I was just notified today by the Toyota in Yuba that the bands were NOT installed. They have to do the actual work the Vacaville Toyota failed to perform. Vacaville Toyota charged me for work they DIDN’T do. These people are rude and a bunch of crooks! I will NEVER take my car here again! It says a lot that I’m willing to take my car to a different dealership than one down the street from where I live.
UPDATE: I messaged said personnel below, and I explained what happened. All I was told was «thank you for your help». Nothing since.

We moved to the Vacaville area a year and a half ago. Before Vacaville Toyota, our vehicles have been serviced by Toyota Walnut Creek. We like the Walnut Creek location because they offer car rentals which is convenient for us.
Every once in awhile, I have to take our vehicles to the Vacaville location. And every single time, I feel like a beggar. I have not been greeted at the door in the past year and a half. Not once. Most of the service people are so busy shuffling paper work or making phone calls that they do not even acknowledge new customers walking in.
Today my experience was even worse. There is a lady at a small desk right when you walk in. She was with a customer so I guess that excuses her from acknowledging me. She was done with that customer, got up, and literally walked past me. I was clearly next in line but I didn’t get so much as a «be with you in a moment».
This location really needs better line management and customer service training. All of the staff act so busy that they cannot even greet new customers. I will be returning all of my business to the Walnut Creek location. The prices can be higher but at least I am acknowledged as a paying customer.

We went to this dealership 2 years ago and left frustrated over the apparent negotiating games they played. They tried to low ball us on our trade-​in and played games with our proposed payment options.
Last week we decided to give them a second chance and they again tried to low ball us on our trade-​in. However, the sales person was very nice. We left again frustrated and vowing not to return.
We went to Vallejo Toyota and it was a much different experience. They were friendly, straight forward, honest and fair. As a result we bought the car we’d intended to buy in Vacaville at Vallejo Toyota and left knowing that when the time came to buy a new vehicle again we’d return to Vallejo Toyota.

I made a terrible mistake buying from this dealer.
I bought a brand new 2016 Land Cruiser from this dealership. There is no way that they won’t remember me now, because this is a vehicle that a dealership might sell 1 – 2 a year of. But heh, I’m willing to put myself out there in the hopes that this dealership will take our story to heart and actually change their ways.
The people were friendly and accommodating, but the purchase experience has stuck like a thorn in my side since the day we purchased. The way the dealership ran made us feel like they were doing us a favor selling us (Toyota’s most expensive vehicle) at every turn.
They staff were so poorly trained on the vehicle they didn’t know how to turn on the rear entertainment system, and they had to bring the owner’s son down from his freekin’ house (who had owned the 2015 we were considering buying as a demo) in order to show us how to operate the entertainment system. The son is a great person, and we enjoyed interacting with him, but nobody else in the dealership knew how to turn on the rear entertainment system? I knew more about the truck from watching Youtube reviews than the pros selling it to me did.
Folks, how can you sell a vehicle and not know how it works? I would be more than a little concerned if it were my business and this happened. Training, training, training!
I asked for an extra headset for our very expensive vehicle (they cost $ 50 on ebay, dealer cost can’t be more), and they refused. I asked about 6 times, and was rebuffed. We bought the warranty. We paid full price. There was tons of fat on this truck. Nope, not one inch. Would you take the floor mats off? Nope. Ok. Sigh. Not even on consideration items. It was like we were being treated as a meal ticket instead of a premium Toyota buyer. I was asking for a freekin’ pair of headphones.
Truthfully, the reason I kept asking for a pair of headphones was because wanted to know if your dealership actually cared about my business enough to spot me the equivalent of a pizza dinner on a 96k truck (you didn’t, and your manager laughed when he told me no repeatedly). I could give a crap about the money. You utterly failed at creating a loyal customer that night.
Here’s the reason that I have that thorn in my side. When the dealership finally delivered the vehicle, the car had a huge scratch down the hood (this is the brand new 2016 Land Cruiser mind you). The manager kept telling me «We’ll take care of it, no problem, it will buff right out.» It was 10:30pm at night at this point, and I took him at his word. BIG mistake. We got a call from the dealership saying, «It’s raining, so let’s schedule it after it stops raining.» No follow through what-​so-​ever, and in fact we have not heard from the dealership since that call.
It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had buying a car. Also, they never made good.
After writing this review, I’m giving up & will have it professionally redone.
Toyota Corporate…
I called Toyota corporate to talk with them about this heart wrenching experience. They suggested I talk with the service manager at the dealership. That is their only recourse. I got an ID for my complaint (1 604 251 088). They told me to go to another dealer to have any other warranty work done. Fine. But, I buy the nicest vehicle you make, I call you to tell you I got a scratched vehicle and no follow up from your dealer, and your only response is to give me an id number and encourage me to contact the service manager for the fabulous opportunity to follow up with the same people that did it in the first place? Toyota should be doing whatever you need to do to make it right, not handing out incident reports and telling me to go back to the same dealership. Not great.
To The Owners…
You are really good people, but you need to get in there and make sure the place is running up to higher standards. We had a sad experience as buyers, and we feel bad to have to write this review. However, it’s been four months since we bought the truck and it’s pretty clear that you won’t be following up. If someone gave me 96k, I’d make sure we talked.
We wish you the best, but our experience was a big fat zero. Not only do we feel ripped off, we feel your company follow up on damage you caused to our vehicle was poor to start with and then became nonexistent. Your company had several chances to follow through. But you didn’t. We are heartbroken. If you want to make it right, you definitely have the ability to reach me, but it’s been many, many months and clearly you just do not care.
To Future Buyers…
This dealership is so money-​focused they’ve lost sight of their mission to provide the world’s most reliable vehicles. I have nothing but regret for buying from them, and feel like they worked me over to get every penny out the truck instead of realizing they could have minted a customer for life. It’s turned me off of Toyota, and certainly this dealership. I don’t want to go back. I’m pretty unhappy.

I have never shopped here but their response to my review of the crazy bright sign by their business was helpful.

I called in one week before to get my airbag recall done. The service center closes at 5. They have to order parts ahead of time and set an appointment. I showed up Friday morning when about 5 other people showed up at the same time — probably for the same thing. My recall letter said it would take about 2 hours — or longer depending. The guy at check-​in (I think his name is Mike) said 2 hours too. He was friendly — obviously republican since he made a democrat joke over the phone with his coworker. He was friendly, very loud spoken, conservative older gentleman. The staff here behaves professionally — they obviously want your business and money. I got a free ride home while they worked on my car. The driver was most friendly and personable of all — older friendly dude who’s a long time Vacavillian.
I checked in at 9AM and they took my car — I left around 9:20. I got back to my apartment, ate lunch. Waited and waited. Called at 2 – 3 PM and was told they would call me when it’s ready without a time table. I also got my free general car inspection. Got a call a little past 5PM — asked if I wanted my transmission and steering fluid changed which I declined and he said the car was ready. I thought I was going to be without a car the next day. I didn’t think it would take that long. Luckily I called the shuttle driver before he went home. He picked me up and explained that they only have two techs that can fix the airbags, which is why it takes so long.
Overall professional, friendly staff. However, very small dealership and limited resources causes slow service. I’m glad I didn’t have to drive out of town to get my car fixed though. I can tell this place tries to make the customer satisfied. And they try to sell very hard.

This review is for the parts department and the service department. Both were excellent in customer service and worked together to get me replacement keys in a hurry on a 3-​day weekend after they had been stolen. They called when they said they would call and with details, prices and options. It was like they were EMTs for my Yota!

Wordt customer service. Has gone down hill in the past year! Wish Kim was still there.

Reading a lot of these reviews I must say I disagree!
I bought my car from Toyota Vacaville May of 2014. I bought a brand new car. So I got Toyota Care! I take my car in to have serviced & I’ve NEVER had a problem with customer service. They are always soooo welcoming! & I never have to wait more than 30/​45mins for the oil change, tire rotation & inspection. Of course I make my appointment probably a week ahead of time.
This last service my car had a couple things extra that needed to be looked at. Brock was my service advisor & he was AMAZING! He was so helpful & made my experience awesome! He was always so right on with his time management and he was so knowledgable about his job & even what the guys were doing in the back!
Such a good group of people and I would personally recommend them! :)

The times I’ve come here for maintenance were a hit or miss as far as waiting for my car to be serviced. For anyone planning on bringing their vehicle here, you’ll be waiting an hour AT LEAST for an oil change (and that’s with an appointment). Unless you’re planning on walking to Kohl’s/ Home Depot or taking their courtesy shuttle elsewhere, be prepared to wait. I was lucky during my last visit, as I scheduled an appointment for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon about an hour and a half before they closed — I was out in 45 minutes. :)
Their customer service was also a hit or miss. I wasn’t too pleased during my last visit (at first). I stood at the front and was told by 3 people (individually) that I would be with someone shortly. Finally after waiting about 10 minutes, Brock (I think that’s his name) assisted me in going forward with my oil change. He was very approachable and not as ‘robotic’ as most of the folks working at the front desk. Towards the end of my time waiting for my car to worked on, he explained that there was an issue with a part that may need to be replaced. Instead of elaborating on this issue, he took me to my car and showed me what he was talking about. I felt reassured in seeing exactly what was wrong, I know other places would give me the run around.

Review for the Sales Department: came here immediately after a horrible experience down the street at Nissan Vacaville. So with that in mind, I felt completely taken cared of here at Toyota Vacaville.
My parents came with me & they both own Toyota’s so they highly recommended I get one too. Upon arriving we were promptly greeted and taken cared of. Since my parents were repeat customers, they knew who to go to which apparently was Sheena Salud. I knew I was already preapproved for an auto loan so I came in with a specific budget in mind to which I let the sales people at Toyota know as well. Sheena, who is in Finance, handled it all directly with the bank; there was no haggling, no hassles, & no problems.
Another person worth mentioning is Maria, she was the sales rep who helped me out along side Sheena. She was very pleasant and on top of her job, gave me a good test drive, & helped me out with learning about my snazzy new car such as the Bluetooth connection with my phone etc.
Highly recommend Toyota Vacaville for a great car buying experience! Will keep coming back for service which I hope is just as excellent.
