History

Established in 2007.

Erick’s Deli is locally owned and operated. The owner, Anita named the restaurant after her nine year old son, Erick. She remembers signing the lease in August of 2007 while still working full-​time at Genentech in Vacaville. With the help of fellow church members at SonRise Church and dear friends, the store opened for business November 1, 2007.

Three weeks after they opened, an elderly lady accidentally drove her car through the store. A close friend was severely injured and the store was closed down. But Anita pressed on and re-​opened the restaurant January 15, 2008.

Since then, Anita has made many new friends and feels blessed to have regular customers. She takes pride in getting to know her customers on a first name bases and making them feel at home.

Business Owner

Anita was born and raised in San Francisco. She worked at Genentech in SSF for eight years before moving to Vacaville in 2007 to be closer to her family and to raise her son, Erick. She worked another eight years at Genentech in Vacaville, and after many, many years, Anita finally decided to open her own business and to name it after her son. It took a lot of courage, perseverance, and planning to finally make her dream a reality.

Anita is friendly, funny, and most of all, passionate about making her business a success. She hopes that one day her son can take over her legacy and hopefully share wonderful stories about his mom.
