History

Established in 1997.

Jody has been a massage therapist since 1994 and worked at different spa locations, before branching off on her own in 1997. In 2009 Jody’s husband Brian became a business partner/​massage therapist and they opened up Blissful Massage. Their goal is to one day have a wellness center that supports the community in balance of the «whole» body.

Both Brian and I believe that it’s important to listen to the person and the needs of the person. Though we both are excellent at what we do, Brians forte is working with sports related injuries and specific problems. He uses range of motion and stretching to compliment his work.

I (Jody) believe that healing begins when we can get people out of pain. So my intention is to try to get a person to relax and hopefully fall asleep. I check in with my pressure as I believe it’s important to deliver the pressure that the person whom is receiving is comfortable with. We both use aromotherapy to enhance your experience.

We also believe it’s important to give stretches and exercises for outside the office to help with body mechanics in every day situations.

I graduated from N.H.I in 1994 and have taken several classes since then to continue learning

Brian graduated from Bryan College in 2010 with an Associates degree in Massage Therapy and health education
