We live in Kentucky, but everytime we visit family in Utica, we make it a point to order from Slice. The pizza is really good and the wings are even better. They’re HUGE! The Purple Cow flavor is our favorite. I like how they remove one of the bones from the flat wing section, making it easier to devour. The owner is very nice and knows my family by name.

Nothing great whatsoever… the only thing about the crappy pizza is that the the slices are bigger so you get MORE crappy pizza. The crust tastes like cardboard and in entirety tastes like a 99 cent frozen pizza… There are so many better places in the area with actually good tasting food

I used to patronize Slice weekly, but don’t anymore now that I’ve witnessed the owner and his employees disrespect customers on multiple occasions, the most recent(and wittiest) of which consisted of a middle finger emoji on Facebook. Perhaps its owners will learn the hard way how small of a town Utica is, and just how much reputation means to its tight-knit community.

I’m a pizza enthusiast and being back in NY meant time for pizza The plan was to rent movies and order pizza for delivery. However the person they had taking the phone orders was a rude, passive aggressive jerk… So much so that i couldn’t even complete the order and we had to order from a competitor Instead. I called during regular business hours to complain and spoke to the same nitwit that couldn’t take a phone order and it turns out he is the manager./owner. I simply can’t do business with bad people. Avoid at all costs.

Great pizza! They messed up our order so instead of a broccoli garlic and Pats favorite, we got sausage, pepperoni, peppers, onions, broccoli, garlic and cheese. Thin crust, yum! The got the wings and the broccoli garlic. 5 of enjoyed it very much. A beer would have been nice but the ginger beer is good!

I still love this place but I’m lowering my rating to four stars from five because, well, kiss some customer ass just a little could you? Pizza quality sustained as best in Utica. I don’t mind saying Slice is the real thing and Snoot knows pizza reality.

Awesome pizza and wings! I had heard good things before I visited, so I had high hopes, lucky I wasn’t disappointed! My friend and I came in when they were busy, the line was at but not quite out the door, and one of the workers overheard me say that it was my first time there, so he gave me a free sample of their signature«Purple Cow» wings. I was instantly hooked at the awesome flavor and the kindness shown by the employee. My friend and I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Pizza and a pound of Boneless Purple Cow wings. The pizza and wings were phenomenal and the staff continued to be awesome with us. I am definitely coming back! Overall amazing place!

It’s a nice place. The ambience is all good. The place is super hot in summers as they don’t have A.C. and the kitchen is open inside which makes it hot.

Wasn’t that great. Sauce wasn’t good at all. Pizza was very greasy and they add Parmesan cheese to the pizza if you don’t say anything. Not my preferred place to eat, but I’m also very particular when it comes to my pizza

Excellent pizza but I think I’ll be taking a break for a while. At my last visit there was only one person wearing a hat(for fashion, not health code). Pack of cigarettes on the prep table. Guy at the register eating his dinner, also on a prep table. You get the feeling they don’t think they need your business because they have been so successful, but I think that mentality will catch up soon.

Slice also has delicious desserts and sandwiches and of course their purple cow wings! I would recommend Slice to anyone wanting pizza for lunch or dinner! Plus, Slice delivers and you can get take-out as well! Go to Slice for delicious dining!

It’s such a sad state of affairs when such good food goes to waste because of poor service. I see lots of people saying great service, well maybe I went in on a day when the cocaine ran out because my experience drove me from that place forever. The owner actually screamed at me because I asked how much wings cost. I had originally ordered a small pepperoni pizza(my usual go to order), they told me the same price I always pay, about $ 8 and some change. After hanging up I decided to add 20 wings to my order, they didn’t give me a new price. When I went in to pick up my order it had jumped from $ 8 to $ 35. So I then asked what the cost of 20 medium chicken wings are(I’m not great at math but minus tax they’re charging more than $ 1 per wing???) and he screams at me and almost doesn’t even let me take my order because I was being rude. Says he would bring it to the Onion and give it to them for free bc they won’t complain YEAHBECAUSEYOUREGIVINGITTOTHEMFORFREE, DIPSHIT! Try charging them $ 30 for your dinky pizza and subpar wings, see how the tables turn. Long story short… you’re better off taking the extra drive to Venice pizza in Yorkville or any of the 3 Charlie’s locations, where the owners don’t scream at paying customers and they don’t charge absurd prices.

Not only do they have the only pizza in the area closest to NYC style pizza, Slice offers Purple Cow Everything Wings which are OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD. I frequent Slice whenever I’m in the area and I recommend you stop by and judge it for yourself. If you have room for dessert, definitely get a slice of cheesecake to go.

Vodka riggies To go ready in 7 minutes. Really good as are their meatballs. Most people would love their pizza but too thin for me. Giant slices Could be a little cleaner but ok Seeing the cooks smoke outside is kind of a turn off. Geared up as a take out place but they have a few quick eat tables — not comfortable really. Worth the time to check it out for take out. Parking difficult. Place always looks closed /no outside lighting.

Tonight was the first night where I made a somewhat sizable order from Slice.(One large Diabolo pizza and one large cheese.) Normally my go-to choice is Charlie’s but I heard good things about Slice, so I wanted to see what the hoopla was all about. Friday evening. I placed my order at 6:15 pm and they told me it would be 45 minutes.(Not complaining. Just giving you a sense of wait times on Friday night.) I showed up around 7 and the place was packed. A lot of people are liking this pizza. That’s a good sign. Unfortunately, when I got home and dug in, I wasn’t all that impressed. It was decent pizza. The Diabolo was spicy and the plain was as expected. I can’t say that it was worth $ 40. If there were 2 ½ stars I would’ve given that. Overall verdict: Underwhelming.
