Our organization has expanded from a one-​desk specialty recruiter to a state-​of-​the-​art facility. With a staff of over 30, we continue to maintain the largest recruiting staff industry-​wide. Meet the Business Owner

Michael M.

Business Owner

President and CEO of The Fortus Group Inc, previously known as Management Recruiters of the Mohawk Valley. Mike founded MRMV in 1993 where he pioneered recruitment in the dialysis industry, placing physicians, nurses, and administrators.

In 2006, the company expanded its business into the dialysis travel nurse industry, while having success in other travel health disciplines.

He began his recruiting career in 1988 heading up the software sales recruiting department for Carter/​Mac Kay in Boston where he was the top revenue producer.

Prior to Carter/​MacKay, Mike had successful sales careers selling for four Fortune 100 companies. In 1984 Mr. Maurizio was promoted to Division Manager at Whitehall Laboratories. He was responsible for over $ 12,000,000 in sales, and increased his overall team sales by 25%.

Mike was born and raised in Utica, New York. He has a degree from Paul Smith’s College.
