History

Established in 1986.

In 1986 we renovated my Father’s old 1800’s barn in Pescadero, CA. We had gifts; most made in the USA and I taught painting lessons around my Father’s kitchen table until the addition of a classroom was added to the store. Many friendships formed at that table and in the store over the years. While the small coast side town was beautiful we needed to «our business to grow». In 1990 we relocated the store north to Half Moon Bay, CA on Main Street in the downtown district. A big decision was made to move up to Lake County, CA. In 2000 the store was relocated to it’s permanent home in the historical town of Upper Lake, CA.

My goal is to treat our customers with respect and kindness. I want them to feel welcome whether they come in for a quick purchase, need my help for finding something, want suggestions for gift buying or just stopping in to see what’s new. I love coming into the store each day, I love my job!
