Welcome Wagg’n Furry Fun Center

Do NOT leave your dog in the care of these people.
I first used the daycare at Welcome Wagg’n when it was located up the street and run by a wonderful woman who obviously loved dogs. She eventually moved to the Upland Feed and Fuel location.
Ownership changed hands, and care declined.
I picked up my dog one day, and she had bite marks. Not through the skin, but indentations. I was told she was playing hard, and figured, well, dogs can get rough.
About a month or so later, I picked up my dog after daycare again. I was greeted by Desiree, she made small talk (no mention of incident) then she went to retrieve my dog. She brought her out, made more small talk, then told me that old wounds «might» have been opened. I figured that meant scabs fell off. No problem. I looked at my dog’s face. She had 3 bloody, raw, deep wounds to her face. One nearly went through her cheek.
The wounds ended up requiring sedation, shots, antibiotics, pain pills and staples.
Come to find out, the same dog inflicted the injuries both times. That dog had no injuries from my dog.
When I went back to inquire about the injuries and compensation, the same employee, Desiree, gave me attitude, rolling her eyes, even laughing at the situation. When I asked if there was a manager available, she told me no, because «this place is run half assed.» Direct quote. She told me that she had said that the wounds were old ones because there was a piece of skin hanging off (which was torn by the other dog and had to be clipped) and, because, «I should know, I used to work at a vet.”(Of course, she also put Neosporin on the bites, something that you should never do with a puncture wound. But, she worked at a vet, right?)
When I pressed her on the issue of the raw, obviously new wounds, she said something to the effect of, «what do I know, I just work here.» You can’t have it both ways.
Also, I was informed by another employee, Diana, that the other dog could come back, because they were longtime customers. I’ve been going for 4 years. Biter dog is barely a year old, and I’ve been a customer longer than these women have been employees there.
Yes, in the end the owner did give me a check for the vet bills. However, they didn’t call me when it happened, told me several different stories about how it happened, subjected my dog to a dog that had bitten her before, attempted first aid in a way that anyone that knows dogs would not do, and NEVER asked how my dog was doing, or expressed any concern about keeping us as customers. They don’t care about dogs, or customers.
DO NOT leave your dog with these people.

This used to be Upland Feed and Fuel, now it is just awful. Every worker there seems to be high and out of their mind. They try to get you to sign up for some stupid «reward card» so that they can get your drivers license number. Don’t do it. They are so lazy they don’t even offer the option of using debit or credit, they just simply run credit. Upland Feed and Fuel offered debit service. They suck and their sales associates bother you to no end. Everything in this place is covered in dust. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else.

Although I haven’t taken my dogs to Welcome Wagg’n for day care, I do take them when it’s time to get them more treats, and they love the place! My dogs’ favorite treats: Moo Tubes. You don’t want to know what they are made of, but the dogs go crazy over them! If you aren’t into experimenting, they have a whole bakery case of dog treats, with a variety of cookies and other similar items. They also have a great selection of foods, care products, clothing and other items for your dogs.
Brenda and her staff are friendly and make everyone and their pets feel welcome. I swear, I feel like a celebrity every time I go there with my dogs!
