Dr. Alfred G.

Business Owner

Dr. Alfred Garcia has been in the medical field since 1998. He started off as an EMT and then went on to to work as an EMT/​Paramedic in the Greater Los Angeles area as a first responder to 911 emergencies.

Dr. Garcia went on to graduate from the California State University at Fullerton, where he earned his B.S. degree in Conservation Ecology & Biology.

He earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic with Honors from the Los Angeles Chiropractic College at the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Throughout his Chiropractic education, Dr. Garcia was involved in various clubs, volunteering to provide sports physicals and injury care for the Wildflower Triathlon, Pop Warner, and American Youth Football. He also served as the Safety Director for the American Youth Soccer Organization.

Dr. Garcia is currently on staff at Kaiser Permanente.

He is happily married with three beautiful daughters and enjoys spending quality time with his family in the great outdoors. His favorite hobbi

Dr. Garcia is the best ! I first came to him with knee pain due to a torn meniscus. He has gone above and beyond in helping me find a surgeon to repair my knee, and with the recovery and rehab afterwards. Dr Garcia is always very nice and makes the effort to get to know you making you feel very comfortable. I’d also like to add Raquel, his scheduler is great ! She is always very kind and makes you feel welcome.

I’ve been to Upland Spine about four times in the past two years and every time I leave with my lower back pain feeling great. The facility is clean and feels fresh when you walk in. Appointments have been on time with less than five minutes in the waiting room which is huge! Waiting is a perfect peeve of mine and they respect your time.
The doctor is careful to explain what he is doing and why. I felt that all my questions were answered. Thanks for the great service!

Best chiropractor around. Low key, personable, knows his trade.
Partners with you to «make it make sense» long term. Great explanations & holistic approach. Works with you to help you understand what’s going on.
Doesn’t just crack your back and tell you to make another appt. to come back like so many others do. And Raquel at the front desk makes your visit complete — fun, efficient & empathetic.

Dr. Garcia and his staff are truly amazing. I have been going to chiropractors for years as I am extremely active and work a stressful job. None of the chiropractors I visited in the past provided me with the relief and knowledge that Dr. Garcia did. He is truly amazing and works wonders. I am an avid cyclist and golfer so I am constantly feeling tightness and pain in my upper and lower back. A quick visit to his office and I leave feeling brand new.

After a hip injury sidelined me from running for a few months I finally came across Dr Garcia. After a few visits I’m back in working order and I can’t thank him enough! The only regret I have is not finding him sooner! He’s very knowledgeable, personable and all around great at what he does. Also the receptionist is very sweet and is awesome with my three year old when I have to bring him. This is definitely the place to go if you want to get yourself moving again.

Dr. Garcia is the best, makes time for his patients and the recovery and well being of his patients is more important to him. Absolutely a different approach many of other health professionals do not have. Came in with induced compartment syndrome and was unable to walk without pain, after one visit I felt completely better. Great guy very knowledgable, don’t hesitate to come in.

I’ve been going to Dr. Garcia for the past three years. I’ve been going to a chiro since I was 14 years old and after the «family» chiropractor passed away, I searched and searched for someone who made me comfortable. It took a while but I finally found everything I was looking for at Upland Spine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Garcia is an absolutely amazing chiropractor. Personable and professional. I felt comfortable from my first appointment. With neck, back and hip issues, I’m sure it’s clear to say I’m falling apart. I get dizzy, spotted vision and nauseous because of my issues and Dr. Garcia has never failed in making me feel better. Three years ago I was a new mom and carrying a baby around 24⁄7 took a toll on my back. Not to mention previous back issues. Now picking up a toddler, I tend to twist and turn the wrong way. I have always been able to call the office an get an appointment last minute. Rachael at the front desk is amazing also. She is very sweet, personable and has been a great addition to the office.
I recently moved out of state but I definitely know I’m going to pop in for an adjustment whenever I’m back in California. :D

This is a long overdue review. I first met Dr. Garcia in September. I woke up in pain on a Saturday and couldn’t get in with my regular chiropractor. I found Dr Garcia through Unilocal and he fit me in right away. He found the problem within just a couple minutes. He is gentle, personable and professional. His front office staff is super professional and friendly. Great experience every time I come.

Dr. Garcia and Raquel make a great team! Even though I was running late for my last appointment, Raquel assured me that Dr. Garcia would be able to see me and insisted that I drive safely to the Center (rather than race over).
The good doctor explained that he wants me to become a «wellness» patient — one who is better and maintaining without pain, who then comes in at prescribed intervals for a ‘reboot’ adjustment. Love the fact that this man has a plan!
Once again, I left feeling great and super relaxed. THANKS Dr. G! And his office manager Raquel is an absolute doll… fun to talk to and very professional. Upland Spine is quite the place for a 360 degree healthy experience!

I am so glad I found this place! Dr. Garcia is great and really tries his best to help ease any pain you are in. I have had corrective back surgery for scoliosis in the past, so I am very weary of who I allow to treat me. He explained everything that he was going to do beforehand so that I felt very comfortable. I was in so much pain a couple months ago and he tried different treatments until the pain became more tolerable; where as at other places the Dr. passed me off to assistants to do the ultrasound or e-​stim and there was no immediate follow up about whether it helped or not. He is also great at fitting you into the schedule for last minute appts. I’m so glad I finally found my go to chiropractor.

I can honestly say upland spine and Doctor. Garcia seriously saved me in multiple injuries Ive had recently to my knees. I first came in with an IT-​band injury and they were quickly able to fix me with different methods. I was up and running again with no pain in no time.
I went back to Doctor Garcia after tearing my meniscus. He was able to refer me for an mri, start treatment and recommend the next steps to take. After getting my surgery I was back in the office 2 days later to start treatment. 1 week later and I’m walking fine.
Doctor Garcia is professional, friendly, and knows what he’s doing. I would recommend him and upland spine to everyone. 5 stars isn’t enough.
