I used to live in this area once upon a time and this was a Home Depot I frequented.
Here’s what liked…
* It’s a pretty standard Home Depot so the layout of the store is very cookie-​cutter. That’s a good thing, because consistency in that regard is always a plus.
Here’s what I didn’t like…
* The parking is small and very congested!
* I would NOT come back here unless there was no other place to visit. The lower stars is for the very small lot and very congested parking situation.
* I ran into a very strange situation at this Home Depot. After visiting the little boys room I had an encounter with a guy immediately after opening up the stall door. A Caucasian man that could possibly be homeless was staring me down and kept repeating «fucker». I quickly realized that somehow I was the target of his rage. After washing my hands (with him in my peripheral vision) I walked towards the exit. Even taking a different isle to the exit I noticed that he was right beside me on the next isle. Okay, this guy seemed like he was either mentally ill or high on drugs. His eyes were darting in all different directions and he was talking unusually quick. Obviously he was looking for a fight and I may not be able to avoid it. When I reached the front of the store I informed the cashier to watch out for the person as someone else may become the target of his strange behavior. I do appreciate the quick response of the cashier to call the manager. I’ve gotta say, sometimes people want to start trouble where there is none…
Shopping area = clean but isles appear narrower than other stores
Service = Glad that the cashier called the manager to report an unprovoked potentially violent encounter.
Restroom = clean-​ish…

Went ahead with Home Depot’s AC contractors RightTime, they promised price match guarantee, After signing the contract I went ahead and called Costco’s contractors, they quoted me less than RightTime. RightTime does not want to honor the price match guarantee, they said their warranty is much longer. RightTime does not even know what the rebates you qualify for, they won’t give you the warranties because they are not signed up to get them. So, I am paying $ 7K more for a warranty compared by their competitors. Don’t go with Home Depot’s contractors, Home Depot will not get involved in the contract negotiations, they wash their hands.

If you are trying to get information by calling this particular home depot or calling the store in general… good luck getting someone to talk to within a reasonable amount of time. You will be on hold… transferred. and then put on hold again. It is honestly better if you just drive there directly and get the info you need. But even then you might not get help right away. I went here to set up an appointment for stormdoor installation and no one was at the area so I asked the first rep I saw for assistance and they paged for someone. 10min later, still nothing, so I asked another rep. Rinse and repeat a couple times and still nothing. I have patience and I can also understand if it is a bit busy but my patience and understanding ran out when I have waited for an hour to get someone to help me so I left since I had other things to do and decided to return the next day to try again.
Next day was better. Someone was at the desk so I set up my stormdoor installation appointment. Paid the 50 bucks for having someone do the on site door measurements as required and was told someone will contact me to confirm the day they will do the measurements. That took 2 days which is fine cuz it was the weekend. Got a call, the day was set up and it is all good to go. My mom was home the whole day that day so I asked her to text me if the guy arrives. That whole day my mom said no one came so I called the rep (home depot uses an outside company for stormdoor installations) and was told someone came and did the measurements already but I told the rep that’s impossible cuz my mom was home the whole day and never heard a doorbell or knock. Long story short. the guy did come but went to the wrong unit (I live in a condo) but still did the measurements assuming every unit was the same. I asked the rep to see if they can have someone come again and was told yes they can and would call me back. No one called me back for two days even after calling and leaving them messages.
So I went back to the store and spoke with the home depot rep and they looked up my account and saw that the company submitted their on site review already with NO MEASUREMENT data but instead had a note saying this ridiculousless: «after inspecting the door and frame from the outside we determined that we cannot install the stormdoor because it will not fit. We did see other units with storm doors installed but those units seem to have a bigger door frame than this unit.»…WHAT. THE. MULTIPLE. EXPLETIVES. That doesn’t even make sense! First off the guy went to the wrong unit and then didn’t even bother doing the measurements cuz home depot never received any of that data… but then had the nerve and nonsense to say they can’t install the stormdoor cuz it doesn’t fit EVEN THOUGH THE GUY NEXT TO US HAS ONE INSTALLED AND MULTIPLE OTHER UNITS TOO!
I asked the home depot rep to cancel the whole thing cuz I’m done and asked for my 50 bucks back cuz the company they hired sucks and didn’t even do what they were supposed to do. At least the rep was nice enough to recognize how stupid that report was and was confused as I am at what was submitted so that saved this place from getting a one star review.
After that I went to Lowes instead and everything got done in 3 DAYS.

This place is only good if you know what you need and it’s in stalk. I called them up to see if they had an 2X10 pressure treated plank and they assured me that they had it. He gave me a price and even offered to help me load it. I go down there «We don’t have those!». Frustrated, I went to get the brackets I needed to install them. The didn’t have them in fencing. «Those are in garden.» I went all the way outside on the other side of the store. «We don’t have those.» Another time I went to get paint matched. Got it home, it didn’t match. I had to paint it with something else. I took it back. «You can’t get your money back, we can just correct the paint». It’s still sitting in my shed, unopened. The parking lot is a nightmare. I have to say the staff in the area where they sell the window shades are nice, but about 75% of the time, the staff is completely clueless.

DO NOT PURCHASE TOOL WARRANTIES! This company has the biggest racquet since the mob. It is almost impossible to get a repair on a tool because all the employees are intentionally kept in the dark on what the procedure is to allow a customer to use one. I purchased an air compressor with a three-​year warranty and have spent the past three weeks getting bounced around from one person to another. Taking it from one repair shop that would not repair it; to another repair shop that would not repair it. The shops were supposed to be Home Depot approved shops. Don’t purchase any warranties on tools.

This Home Depot in Upland CA Customer Service is great. My only problem is you have to rush and get your item it’s very hot!!! No AC or Vents running aside if you are by the entrance great ventilation, but if you go in the back where the wood or pluming items it’s hot and by the end you are sweating and annoyed. My husband is a maintenance manager in a complex building so we are shopping here often in a rush and registers are quick no big lines very friendly staff always greeting and willing to help.

I signed up for a workshop on how to build an ottoman. I even had a confirmation email to prove it. I show up and asked about the workshop and where to go. and I get a blank stare like they have no idea what I’m talking about. No one had a clue about any workshops. 20 mins have passed since the workshop was supposed to start and I’m still waiting to talk to the manager or anyone who might know about any workshops. I’m typing this as I’m waiting.
The «manager» which was some red-​headed girl came to speak with me finally and said they are not offering a workshop right now. She offered to give me a list of instructions as a consolation.
no thank you! I signed up for a workshop because I needed the visual instructions; not by reading a bunch of words that are meaningless to an amateur such as myself!

Poor customer service! We were going to purchase a buy one get one free bug repellant but it wasn’t showing up that way on the register. It took about 15 – 20 minutes for someone to finally okay it when all along the sign was posted by the items. When Jonathan the cashier was told it was okay he continued helping other customers when he should have helped us. We took our business to Lowe’s and spent our money there!

I generally go to the Upland Lowes, just because I think the employees are more helpful and friendly.
Today I went to Lowes for a certain product and since I wasn’t excited about the choices, I decided to head over to HD to see what they had.
They had the exact same selection but since I was there, I decided to buy since I didn’t want to drive back to Lowes.
I found a product but it had two different prices on it. One price on the display and a different one on the shelf.
I went to the self help checkout and scanned it. It scanned at the higher price. I called over the older gentleman who worked there and told him about the two different prices. He responded with «I’m sure it’s the higher price» and started to walk away. I stopped him before he could get away and said «doesn’t Home Depot check prices when they are different? Or do they just automatically charge the customer the higher price?» I wasn’t rude but I was annoyed that he was so abrupt about trying to charge me the higher price without at least calling for a price check, not to mention acting like I was annoying him.
He asked what the difference was in the prices and walked away without saying another word.
After about 30 seconds the screen showed a discount to get to the lower price.
The guy didn’t ask if everything was OK, didn’t thank me, didn’t apologize, didn’t say good by. He didn’t even look at the product so an employee could fix the shelf pricing. In fact, he didn’t say another word. I tried to thank him on the way out and he seemed to try to ignore me. Obviously I seem to have annoyed him by asking for a price clarification. It was very strange but my suspicion is that this is just a person that doesn’t like to work with the public. Nothing wrong with that, but I have no idea why HD would put him at the front where he has to deal with a lot of customers all day long.
Over the years, I have had some luck with HD employees, especially in the tile department, but this latest experience just reconfirmed my opinion that Lowe’s trains/​screens its employees better overall. It just makes for a more pleasant and uneventful shopping experience.

Rude customer service wouldn’t exchange something i bought at another home depot lady at the return desk had a bitchy attitude things like this make me never want to spendv another dime here ill take my business to lowes

This place does not have enough parking for the business it gets, the service is ok and I don’t like to have to rush for a spot. I bought some beautiful flowers for my garden and turned out quite nice. Beautiful daffodils.

The service here is horrible! When you ask for help your director to another department by the time you know it the guy in gardening is helping you look for screen doors. The staff here I swear try to hide from you. I prefer Lowes now, there you don’t even have to ask for help there alway approaching you. At this home depot the best service your going to get is in the parking lot from someone asking for money. Guaranteed you will be approached by someone wanting money.

I come to this Home Depot waaaaaaaaaay more than I «check in» to it. It’s about as good as all other HDs. The place is HUGE, the prices are decent, some stuff is extremely hard to find and there’s rarely and employee who actually knows how to help you with your home project.
That being said, the lines move quickly. The cashiers are pretty friendly. There’s a hot dog cart out front (which, when you start doing a bunch of DIY projects at home, you realize is a GREAT idea because you simply forget to eat when trying to finish your projects).

I use this Home Depot almost weekly! I always find what I need. The associates are hit and miss, but that’s customer service in general.

I don’t write a lot of reviews but this is for anyone who shops here go somewhere else.
They have all the talk about being helpful I stood in line for pair got help then the guy took off for lunch and left me hanging. Then I had some lock set all keyed the same and then broke the lock and never told me. This store is horrible they only help when it suits them. So I say so long homedepot hello anyone else

I don’t have an issue with this store itself but there are some extremely rude employees here. I was outside looking at the plants with my happy, adjusted, sweet, cropped doberman.
An employee named IRIS approached me. No hello how are you or can I help you. She says «what did you do to that dog?» I said her ears are cropped… To which I received «how would you like it if I did that to you?!» I told her it’s quite common and people pierce babies ears etc. She got irate telling me how that upsets her too. I said okay thanks bye! I don’t have time to educate an ignorant, aggressive employee on these issues while I’m trying to shop for a Christmas tree. I wonder if she tells off moms with girls with pierced ears too!
If you disagree with it, fine. But when you are at work have the common sense to keep those comments to yourself and not alienate paying customers. Won’t be back. Don’t need to be treated that way. Bye!

I’m here waiting to have wood planks cut for me in the lumber department. It’s a Friday night and I have places to be. Their service is terrible regardless if it’s a Friday night. If they’re still working, then they should do their job. I am not a satisfied customer. Simply for the fact that this is a service they are providing, cutting wood, and they’re not doing it. I’m really disappointed.
One star for the service but one more for the lady I talked to on the phone after calling their number on Unilocal letting them know that I’m hear waiting, she at least tried paging them.
I’m keeping time on my phone and I’ve been standing here for 15 mins. 3 men who work here saw me and did nothing. One of them I asked to help find the person who’s suppose to be here and I don’t think he did. He was a black man working in the section across the nails/​screws.
I’m rolling my eyes right now. STILL no one is helping me. If I can handle this equipment myself I’d do it. Maybe I should. So IF I do get hurt, I can sue Home Depot.

Wow, this is my least favorite home depot on the planet. The parking is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Contractors need space to load/​unload, but the constant traffic makes it difficult.
The garden center generally has one employee working the register, that’s it! With horticulture being one of the most intensive fields I’ve ever been involved with, it does require more attention than this.
If you’re a contractor, keep one crew member in the truck to watch your equipment.

Some of the staff here can be rude and just plain ignore you and some are clueless about their own products. The layout is very weird with the cabinets and appliance section being in separate buildings. I overheard staff talking about how they care more about their hourly wages than helping customers. Total BS!
So to make it this review short. SHOP AT LOWES on Benson and Foothill. You won’t be disappointed and it’s well layed out.

The plumbing section of this Home Depot is what dreams are made of.
An amazing assortment of toilets, pipes, water hoses and faucets to choose from.
I bought the Kohler elongated one piece toilet from Home Depot last year. If you aren’t a toilet fanatic like me, you probably don’t know much about it.
It is the Bentley of all toilets, its a one piece toilet with a lower seat and reverse rotating flush. Its is the most expensive toilet at Home Depot, and I came looking for another one while visiting a friend in Upland.
This is an older store and the selection is not bad, however I felt like I was in the Twilight zone.
There were no sales associates in sight to help me with my toilet needs. It really felt crappy with no one to help me with the toilets (no pun intended!)
There were plenty of people up in the front of the store, but the layout is a bit weird of this store.
Its not bad for people who live in Upland but out of towners should stick to their regular Home Depots.
