At the barber shop we do men’s and young men’s haircuts. We offer fades, flat tops, buzz cuts, and men’s and boy’s regular hair cuts. All of the barbers cut small boys hair without an appointment. No appointments are needed for anyone. The barbers are friendly and have many years of experience.

Smothers Barbers has been under the same name since 1963 and a barber shop since 1903.

History

Established in 1963.

Barber shop from 1903 till the 1930s at which time it changed to a bootery. Then it became a tobacco and candy shop. In the early 50s the business was back to being a barber shop thru present time.

I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a cut again. Unlike godfathers, they take you in order and don’t homie hook up, this place is great for a quick cut. And it’s located right in the heart of downtown upland.

Ben is the best! He cut my sons first hair cut when he was only 18 months old and has been cutting it ever since. My husband goes here, my father in law, and my son is now 6! Ben is very friendly! He takes appointments and drop ins. I would recommend him 100%! The value is great!

Been coming in here form probably 40 years, love the old school quick cut and friendly people. INthe ’80’s with «styled hair» I had a girl that cut my hair for years, but after growing up and leaving the Frampton style behind, came back to my old school barbers. This place is the best.

My son and I get our haircuts here all the time. One of the last true barber shops.

Good spot to get a clean cut. This place has an old school feel to it. I’ve been going here over a year or so and They always do an outstanding job. I usually get a 2 on top, with the medium fade shaved on the sides and lined up in the front. The price is the cheapest around also. I always go to Corina who does an excellent job and always gets my cut perfect. They have really loyal customers that have coming here for years and I definitely understand why. Thanks Smothers.
