This place used to be fantastic. Then they changed owners, and now they will jerk you around and waste your time if you try to use a Groupon. Hope you don’t plan to go there on a weekend, or a weekday after 5pm, because they will call and cancel your appointment. Repeatedly.
This place is awful, and they are committing advertising fraud. Avoid this place like the plague.

My wife has gone here for years. I like to treat her to massages and facials. Toni Cummings has been great to help me pick gift certificates for my wife, mother inlaw, and her family. they love this place. I know Jackie gives great massages and I am glad my wife can have a bit of happiness here.

Bought a groupon for a 90 minutes couples massage with champagne and chocolates for $ 115, and then came across lots of bad Unilocal reviews from this page. I was a little disappointed at first, but my boyfriend told me to stop reading and just be open-​minded to the experience instead of going in with a predisposed bias towards the place. To my delight, I’m glad I did what he told me to do because I really enjoyed our experience after all!
Some Cons: Like others have mentioned, it was difficult to book an appointment because more often than not, my call would go to voicemail. I found out after getting my massage that it’s usually because the people who handle the front desk are also the ones who go in to give the massage therapies. Therefore, they will be gone for a lengthy amount of time (30 – 90 minutes, depending on what the customer ordered) and not be able to answer the phone. HOWEVER, I just left a voicemail and they got back to me within an hour or so which really isn’t that bad. I tried calling the day before to confirm my appointment time and their address but they didn’t pick up, so I left a voicemail again and they got back to me in half an hour. No big deal! — We weren’t allowed to use the larger room in the back for our massage (it was nicer), but understandably because they had people moving in and out of that room to get through from the salon to spa to fix the air conditioning. We went to the room in the front which was smaller and didn’t have a sofa, but it wasn’t a big deal either since we were going to be lying on a massage bad with our eyes closed for majority of the time, anyway.
PROS: Unlike some other peoples experiences, the staff were actually very friendly with us. They were laughing with each other and we made conversation, laughing along with them as well at times. They lead us inside and gave us a small tour of the hall, then left us with a clipboard to fill out paperwork… which really is a piece of paper asking for basic contact information AND other medical/​physical histories such as allergies or injuries and parts of our body that we would like the focus of the massage to be on. I know some people mentioned that they didn’t ask which areas were injured, but I didn’t see the need since we were asked to fill out a paper indicating these areas already. The massage was very relaxing and they DID ask both my boyfriend and I whether the pressure was okay. I thought they were attentive with us and they gave us ample time and room to change. Even when we gave them tip and were leaving, they thanked us and were very pleasant about it.
All in all, I think this groupon was a good buy. I personally would probably want to pay for deep tissue massages next time just because I enjoy more strength and power in my massages, but if you’re looking to relax with your partner, give La Bella a try!

I went here for a 60 minute couples massage w/​champange and chocolate– a Groupon promotion. I’ll start with the bad and finish with the good.
Wannabe Beverly Hills spa that falls extremely short. First, this place is literally next to a train track. While we were leaving we were serenaded by the comforting sound of the train’s horn and the sweet vibration of the track as the train sped past us (sike!). Terrible location. It’s loud and irritating.
My fiancé and I were running late for our 1 hour couples massage due to a terrible accident on the 57 freeway. It took us over and hour and a half to travel from Fullerton to Upland (normally a 20 minute drive). I called when I realized there was no way to get there on time and asked to reschedule. The employee told me that the company’s policy is to charge clients full price if they cancel within 24 hours. Seriously? This is Upland, not a ritzy spa. They need to work with their customer service and policy. Anyways, we were forced to attend or forfeit our Groupon. We arrived about 30 minutes late and were told we would only get a 30 minutes massage. Very frustrating when you paid for 60 minutes, no reimbursement was given of course. Employees were defensive and I didn’t feel welcomed. They basically said that I inconvenienced them by being late, so that’s my fault. We got the 30 min massage and left. Massage was average. While we were getting our massage the sound of a rattling a/​c overpowered the «nature sounds» cd they were playing, how relaxing (sike, again).
Ok, positives. The champange was good, especially since I was already irritated. Helped me to keep calm.
Overall this place is overpriced and basic. Save your pennies and just go to massage envy. If you want to spend big bucks on a nice spa, go to glen ivy or somewhere in Los Angeles. La Bella was a waste of my money and customer service was mediocre.

My husband bought the Groupon (90 minute couples massage/​champagne/​chocolate), and after reading the other reviews I see that several people shared my experience. It was so difficult to book an appointment. My husband got so frustrated calling and calling with no answer, that he asked me to do it. So, after a few tries I got through and couldn’t book a massage for several months because they were booked. When the date rolled around, we didn’t get a reminder call, which is odd. I get massages a few times a month (at other spas) and they always call to confirm the appointment. I called the morning of the appointment to confirm, and the woman I spoke with must have been really irritated that I called. When we arrived, there were a few employees at the desk whispering about something very dramatic. The receptionist was explaining to another couple why they couldn’t use their Groupon. The whole vibe started out really agro; not the relaxing spa experience one should expect. Then we went in to the room for the massage, and the therapist brought us warm syrup in a champagne glass and cheap wrapped chocolates (a Ghirardelli square and a Russel Stover truffle). There were no bubbles in the glass, and it was not cold. Ew. The massage was okay, but it felt like we were in a training session. My therapist was communicating with the therapist working on my husband and not paying much attention to the pressure for my massage. Also, the Groupon advertised a 90 minute massage, and the massage we got clocked in at 55 minutes. When we walked out of the room, one employee was lecturing another employee and it felt really uncomfortable. I will not go back. It was not good.

I bought the Lamprobe Age-​Spot Treatment from Groupon and let me say this has been the best deal I’ve ever purchased. I have several age spots and my voucher was only for 2 areas which was the only downside. I’ve had several treatments, lasers, creams, lights over the years with different estheticians and dermatologists and wasted so much money. To start off they moved locations a week prior to us coming… Didn’t bother to tell us or make it clear that they moved. Not sure why they wouldn’t say anything to us when we made the appointment weeks earlier. Arrived at this address and called to see exactly where they were and after the phone ringing about 10 times someone finally answered then said they sent a text with the new address hours ago which was not true. Good thing we left super early so we were still able to make it which was good but arrived annoyed since they also didn’t mention that they were in a building that didn’t even say their name on it. We just assumed it was it then walked in and it was it.
Place was super small. Not much of a waiting area. Room massage was in was pretty bright so it didn’t have the best ambiance but it wasn’t a romantic massage anyway so whatever but the other weird thing was the table had like paper on it not really sheets so that was weird.
Greeting was weird by the massage therapist. Well we didn’t know she was our therapist at the time. She told us to fill out paper work and get changed.
One girl entered the room. and just started working on one of us… The other entered and did the same. Neither massage therapist introduced themselves which I thought was weird. Neither also really went through the paperwork at all. Pretty sure they didn’t even look at the paper. Massages were ok. For one of us she didn’t even work on the areas my mom requested even during the massage. Wasn’t the worst massage but it could have been better.
At the end of the massage both ended pretty weird. One said the massage was over but the other just stood over me looking at me and didn’t say anything. Awkward.
So they tell us to change. While we were changing they entered the room. RUDE. Wait till your people are done then talk to them outside.
One girl asked for the groupon then proceeded to talk about how they don’t get their money right away from groupon and they would match the price if we saw the groupon and blah blah blah. Then says that it’s expired and we owed $ 20 each person… Gave them that because we assumed that it was true. Then we tipped them really well and left.
Pretty sure that we didn’t owe crap for the massages she probably just thought we weren’t going to tip them. Our own fault for believing that so whatever but thats going to come back to then in a bad way one of these days.
Next day we get an e mail with the packages and pricing they had to offer. One of which was the groupon we had. Which pissed me off even more. So conclusion. These people are a rip off and so freaking rude and unprofessional. We will never come back and will make sure none of our friends and family ever go to this place. Unprofessional and rude!!!

My wife and I took advantage of the Groupon offer for a 90-​minute couples massage with champagne and chocolates. We did wind up having to schedule our massages about a month out but that really wasn’t that big of a deal considering how good of a value the Groupon deal was. We arrived early and were immediately taken back to a room where we were served our chocolates and champagne. After that my wife and I received massages from Jackie and Yulie. I have to say, this is one of the best massages I have ever had. I was so relaxed that I drifted off to sleep several times. My wife wanted a deep pressure massage and Jackie was very accommodating for that. Overall we were both very happy with our experience.

My boyfriend and I got the Groupon deal and it was easy to make an appointment. The ladies that did our massage were Rosie and Yuli. They did an excellent job, not to rough, witch I’ve had massages were it’s uncomfortable and painful and not to soft. They but the right amount of pressure while doing the massage. It was very relaxing and took all the stress away. I don’t know why they have only 3 stars? My experience was amazing and we will definitely be back

Seriously… Hire SOMEONE to answer the phone!
My wife brought a Groupon couples message for us and so far we haven’t even been able to schedule an appointment to use it. They don’t answer their phones for extended periods and when they finally do they put u hold hold for another 5 minutes or so. They never have any appointments available for the Groupon and they are not open on Sunday’s.

This review is for the spa. I would like to say that I am trying to attack the employees, but want to point out a management error: you are not training your employees to be professionals.
SCHEDULING: I bought a 90-​minute couple’s massage with champagne and chocolates for my boyfriend & I on Groupon. I read so many bad reviews for the spa regarding the massage therapists running late or cutting the massage time, so I was already hesitant. When I called the salon to schedule an appointment we settled on a Sunday, the day they are closed unless you have an appointment. I asked if the 90 minutes included changing and enjoying champagne and chocolates, and to my relief she said no, but to only arrive no more than 10 minutes early because the therapists are coming in only for their appointments.
I am an esthetician that works in a spa. The one important thing is to accommodate your GUESTS. Arriving 10 minutes early isn’t enough time for 2 guests to fill out client intake forms, use the restroom, get a spa tour, settle in, and enjoy chocolates & champagne and NOT feel rushed to change and run to the massage table. If you guys are offering extras, you should know you need enough time prior to the service to allow your guests to settle in and relax!
We arrived about 30 minutes early because we ended brunch early, and the door was still locked. We headed to the entrance for the salon (they have two separate doors), which was open. They were hosting a hair class, I think. An older man came out and checked to see if the spa was ready, and told us they were still in session and that we were welcome to wait in the salon in the meantime.
It hit close to 11:00 (scheduled appointment time) and I saw a girl unlock the spa door. We waited a couple more minutes but apparently the fact that their guests had arrived had not been communicated, because nobody came to get us. I gave up on waiting and headed into the spa.
Therapist who greeted us was not welcoming, and asked for Groupon payment upfront. We did not even fill out any forms or get our massage yet, and they asked for payment then. That’s something you do NOT do in the spa business. I asked if we could handle payment after the massage, he agreed and lead us to the back in the waiting area. He had the intake forms in his hand, but did not say anything about them. I sort of just took it from him. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps he was new or shy, or something, but he barely talked at all.
Also, our therapists did not introduce ourselves nor did they wear nametags, so I have no idea who we had.
We waited for a while after we filled out our forms, and our female therapist who was more approachable and welcoming took us to our room. She explained everything and left us to enjoy our champagne and chocolates, change and get on the table. We took our time, enjoyed the goodies, and laid down.
Now, for the massage: I offered to take the male therapist since I’ve been worked on so much at my spa job that I was comfortable with it. However, what would have happened if neither of us were comfortable with a male? This should have been communicated upon scheduling in the first place. This was my boyfriend’s very first massage, so I knew he would have been comfortable with the female.
I can only speak about my massage with the male therapist, which was okay. Neither therapist asked about our preferred massage pressure (which you have to do), momentarily check in on us and ask if we were okay (which you also should do), or consult us with any problem areas or injuries prior to starting the massage (which you should DEFINITELY do).
In terms of massage, I feel my therapist was simply going through the motions. In the spa industry, we always say that there should be intention in every touch. There was nothing. I felt nothing, really.
He kept stopping abruptly to add more oil and had no graceful transition when moving from part to part. At the end, he lightly massaged my head, and when my boyfriend’s therapist said «you’re all done,» he abruptly stopped my massage. Wtf?
They left us to change and told us they would meet us in the front, and I gave them the Groupon. I asked if they could break a $ 20 because I wanted to give them $ 30 or $ 25 each (the Groupon was cheap so I wanted to give them more cash), actually. The guy went to ask the girl if they had change, came back and said they didn’t. Oh well. You could have gotten a bigger tip had you had change. Lol. I gave them $ 20 each instead and he muttered his thanks and went to the back. No «goodbye!» Nothing.
I think the staff needs a crash course in learning customer service and professionalism. There’s also no dress code. The man wore all black, and the girl wore a blue sundress above the knee. I turned my head and opened my eyes and saw a bit more than I wanted to during my massage, lol.
Really hoping management steps it up. Get better scheduling, and teach your therapists more!

This place is ridicules, I call 3 times and get the answering machine, so I leave messages and no one returns them. Then my daughter walks in for a trim, and one of the girls tells her there will be a 30 min wait, cuz her client is coming in 15 min. So take off the sign that says. Walk in are welcome!!! My fiancé and I found this place on Groupon and thought it would be nice to come have a relaxing day before our bridal shower. Overall the location is poor it’s in a warehouse industrial park, inside was nice however the first thing I noticed was that the sheets had a filmy feel as though too much detergent was used. The beds were not comfortable and they had a fan going the entire time which was very distracting and made it difficult to relax. When the massage was over we realized we had no idea who worked on us because they never told us their names. We looked at the clock and also realized that we paid for an hour long massage and only got 40 minutes. I am a trained therapist myself and the massages reminded me of the trainees in school. These therapists were not experienced and therefore Important things like pressure, comfort and tension areas where never discussed or worked through. We got an okay rub down for the money we paid but won’t be back.
Overall it was kind of disappointing, we were hoping for something more and to leave feeling like our bodies were relaxed, but we left with knots and tension still very much alive!

Overall my fiancé and I had a pleasant experience and thought it was worth it! We were able to make a same day appointment, and they price-​matched the Groupon deal for a couples massage! I have a leg injury, and my massage therapist Jackie was very mindful of it and made adjustments so that I was not hurt. I appreciated her care to take care of all of the knots she found and I left very relaxed. My fiancé likewise enjoyed his massage, with his only critique being that he needed more pressure. He was not asked to confirm if the pressure was good and he also did not volunteer that information.
Cons are the surroundings and the facility itself do not feel very luxurious, detracting a bit from the experience. But it was cheaper than the other places we’ve been.

Bought a groupon that consisted of a 60 minute massage with champagne, rose petals and chocolate.
We received 2 pieces of chocolate, half a glass of champagne and fake petals on the floor. Our massages were only about 40 minutes because they counted our times for dressing and drinking champagne. My boyfriend has never had a massage so to him it was good. I have had quite a few massages and this one was nothing great for a licensed professional it was crappy.
Overall not happy with what I paid for and I will not be returning.

Loved how Tammy made my hair turn out, it’s never looked better and I look forward to the next time. I got an ombré that blended from purple to my roots so my natural color would grow into it, and months later it still looks great!

My hair was done by Tammy and let me just say how much I LOVE it. I’ve spent so much money on other places trying to get the red hair that I always wanted but they were too lazy to go through the additional steps to get me the bright red that I wanted. Tammy takes her time to listen to what I want and she’s so talented with her coloring and cutting skills. On top of that she is so easy to talk to so it made the time goes by faster while you’re waiting for get the color processed. Keep in mind I’m not a very patience person when it comes to waiting around. This was my second time getting my hair recolored to red with Tammy and I would definitely keep coming back. She is specialized in balayage ombré. Feel free to bring in any picture for inspiration and I guarantee that she’ll achieved the result 110%.

I want to start off by saying how much I love love love my hair! I’m originally from North Carolina, so I made sure to fit in an appointment with Tammy every time I visit SoCal. This was the second time I had gone to Tammy, and I knew I wanted to go light. I showed her a picture for inspiration of how I wanted my hair to look, but she had gone above and beyond. She made sure to keep my base darker (my natural color), since I told her how low maintenance I was, added different tones of blonde throughout the rest of my hair, and added some balayage. After a good few hours at the salon my hair felt and smelled amazing. After traveling almost 2,500 miles across country, it was definitely worth the visit! Thanks Tammy :)

My bf and I just finished our couple’s massage and will recommend this place to friends, family, and Unilocalers. Definitely a good place, great customer service and great masseuses.
