I read Nachos review on the pastrami, which was not good. I love pastrami from these type of places but unfortunately Nacho was right. Awful at best. Dry, tasteless. I through the second half away. Waste of money.

What a ripoff. I ordered a chicken buritto that says $ 6.29 yet i paid $ 8.89. I know California has high taxes but over 2 dollars on a $ 6.00 buritto is pathatic. Really loved the huge chunks of RAW onion. Didnt feel welcomed at all. Maybe if i spoke spanish they would of been more engaging. But I speak english so it «hurry up and buy.» The buritto was so so, nothing special. For over $ 8.00 it was not big a all; slightly larger then what you would find at Del Taco. Its across the street from my tattoo artist so I thought it would be a good choice. Boy, was I wrong. F**k This Place

Terrible. They say they have the best pastrami’s in town, WRONG !!! This place sucks. Also if you order the steak sandwich and want it well done, ask them to burn it otherwise it will be raw and full of FAT … NASTY !!!

This place has significantly gone downhill. Years ago it was such a good place but now, horrible. Food is overcooked, they nickle and dime you for every little«extra.» Unfriendly staff and not very friendly. Definetly won’t be back.

Close to my work I am here quite often. Their food is delicious and make with fresh ingredients. Their pricing is comparable to any other spot for a good lunch. The employees are always friendly and timely. Very professional. The facility is clean inside and out. Love this place.

The place sucks. Breakfast was bad. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They cheese didn’t even melt, looked like a piece of yellow slice of rubber on my friends omelette. I’m sure they use the same cheese for the burgers, so no good. Oh man sloppy service. The lady was on her phone when we came in. Continued to be standing there on the phone after we ordered. Overall one star place.

We’ve been more times than we’d like to admit. It’s great for a quick, late dinner(or lunch). Where do I even begin. The breakfast burritos are huge, greasy, and amazing. They have some of the best fried zucchini and onion rings I’ve ever had. The smallest size is more than enough for two! The pastrami dips with au jus are my go to sandwich here. Everest’s only weak spot would be its chili fries. While the pastrami is better than that other restaurant across the street, the fries at Everest are thinner and less crispy. The chili is good though, which is why their foot long chili dog is nice option if you’re in the mood for one. Other items that are okay include their club sandwich(but not a huge ham fan) and the pastrami hash. The Greek gyro is pretty good for a place that doesn’t serve a lot of Greek food, so maybe consider going elsewhere if that’s what you’re craving. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re looking for a step up from regular fast food.

Looks good TASTESLIKECRAP! Hamburger Patti was cold, cheese didn’t melt and looks super processed, fries are little and look like it was the end of the bag, paid extra for ranch even though my meal was almost 10 $ I asked the worker if my Patti was hot and she said«next time«I was like«I almost paid 10 $ it should be right the first time » would never recommend this place to any one or would never come back. Next time I’ll go next door to DELTACO and get a burger and fries there.

Dressings changed, bummerz. Everest has been one of my favorites for about 15 years or so. Unfortunately they have changed the salad dressings, and not for the better. The new Italian dressing has 10 times more salt than the previous dressing. I was told it’s a new brand. I asked for some Ranch instead, but it too was not the same, nor was it good. Both these new dressings do not refrigerate well either, they’re thicker than the old ones and seem practically frozen when served. The old Ranch dressing was the main reason the Zucchini Fries were so good here. Ditto for the Italian dressing and Grilled Chicken Salad. Sorry, but I won’t be eating here anymore.

Other then the fries everything was kind of good but how do you have crappy fries it kills the whole meal! They were burnt and soggy. The pastrami Cheese burger was pretty good the only satisfying thing out of everything we got. Definitely would not be eating here again.

Fix the Drive-Thru, and I’ll fix this review. Because the parking lot is often full, they decided to add parking spaces that abut right against the drive-thru lane. The drive-thru contains two sharp turns. If you are in king cab, you will not make the clearance. You can see where cars have hit the building trying to turn. Adding those extra parking spaces was greedy and stupid. You cannot create space out of thin air. By adding 4 illogical parking spaces, you have made the drive-thru impossible to use for long cars. With no warning signs placed until it’s too late and you’re stuck. They need to fix this drive thru before somebody hits a parked car and sues them for an impossible layout.

Consistently good burgers! We love the the zucchini fries… the small will feed an entire family! I would love to try other items but can’t steer away from our favorites! My woman also loves their made to order Chocolate Milk Shake! I would say this is like«Farmer Boys» but in my opinion better! They also have good breakfast and most dishes are big portions. Come check it out!

BEST chili fries I’ve ever eaten! If you order to-go, portions are smaller. If you eat it, you get an ENTIRE plate of fries. I also enjoy their burgers and nachos. Salads are good as well, and their ranch dressing is really rich and creamy.

So I lived in the area for years and I noticed this place when I go to the Hat. I was actually driving to the hat and then decided to just try this place out and I noticed it received over 3 stars. I ordered chili cheese fries and a tuna melt… The tuna melt was ok,(nothing worthy of going back for) and the chili cheese fries were decent, but be if that it has to compete with other burger joints, the food I had by far wouldn’t bring me back. The chili lacked flavor and they weren’t very hot when I got home considering that it was not far at all from where I was going. I wanted to like it but it was just a below average over priced(for what you get) food joint.

Expedition Everest. I had this place bookmarked for a while and was out and about one evening wanting to try a new place and decided upon Everest. From the street they have a sign advertising that they have the best pastrami in town. This could be considered a bold claim given that The Hat is located just a little further down the street. I walked inside and was promptly greeted and after looking over their menu for a few moments decided upon a pastrami cheeseburger. I made it a combo for a few bucks more(the combo includes a small drink and choice of side item; I went with fries). I filled up my drink cup and planted myself in a seat at a table w/a decent vantage point to survey my surroundings and waited. Now, upon first glance this place seems rather clean like the up keeping is all good… but it’s not, really. I noticed several of the chairs at the various tables were visibly damaged in some way or another, but the kicker for me was a container full of dirty dishes/plates that had been collected which were conveniently chilling on top of one of the trash receptacles. I know what you might be thinking, so let me just say that no, they were not busy(there were about 7 or 8 guests inside) and no, they did not appear short staffed(I could see up to 5 employees up at the front simultaneously at some points. In fact, the guy that took my order talked to most of them numerous times before he eventually stepped out to refill his drink cup and take a break. At no point, other than him, did I witness any other employee step out behind the counter into the dining room). So, the food comes out and it looks good enough. The French fries a lot of peeps have complained about in other reviews were not THAT bad imo. Sure, they are a little on the smaller side I suppose but to me they tasted fresh although they could have been seasoned more. The burger was good but I wish I would have asked for grilled onions. The pastrami was lean and tasty as well, but I wouldn’t consider it the best in town. After I finished my meal I got up to use the restroom and was certainly disenchanted; the men’s bathroom was dirty as well and on a corner of the ceiling there was what appeared to be black mold. I left the restroom and as I was exiting the building I noticed the dirty plates on top of the trash receptacle… they were still there. Everest has a fine selection of burgers, sandwiches, and the like. They have a drive thru and even free wifi(see the cashier for the password). The food wasn’t bad at all, but some of the uncleanliness I noticed did turn me off a little.

Ok. So I’ve been here a few times food always the best. But today I experienced RUDE service. Drive through horrible. So bad the worker who drives a NEW black little Suv. Tall Latina lady is the worse. Literally got upset over me asking about a burger that wasn’t on the menu but on a board inside(Santa Fe burger) then over ranch. I asked for ketchup she rudely said it’s inside come home to find ONE thing of ketchup. So bothered I drove only to come home and realize she forgot the drink. I go back tell the lady and this lady gets annoyed then I see the one who forgot drive off into the sunset. This lady got upset and didn’t apologize just asked what size and thats it. The workers here are lazy. . The Santa Fe burger is good I’ve had it twice this last time it was dry. The kids meals are huge. The bacon cheeseburger is yummy but dry Chili cheese fries they’re good. The BEST … club sandwich. Customer service is a big deal for me a deal breaker. If you hate serving others get a new job.

Driving around my wife and I one day, decided to try a breakfast burrito, so we drove thru ordered a breakfast burrito adding sour cream cut in half, not even a mile away it was done and we actually should have got one each, not because this burrito was small but it was delicious, so I return another time Pastrami plate with onion rings ! Split with my wife ! Great again So 3rd visit with my Aunt for breakfast we both ordered menudo ! so glad I did, I have not had menudo this good since my Dad or Mom made some ! I make good menudo but it’s always better when someone does all the work and it’s delicious. I highly recommend the menudo here ! 4 stars because of a small problem 4 and a easy half here !!! This place is good always busy and not a long wait for food !!
