Every meal went up by $ 2.00 and the portions got smaller. My family & I used to frequent this place at least 2 – 3 times a week. Now, we no longer eat here. There’s restaurants near by with the same great food but at much cheaper prices. Sorry Connel’s, but at the rate you’re going, you’ll need to start advertising with coupons to get your customers back. Now excuse me, but my family & I are on our way to buy the four hamburger family meal at the place down the street for $ 17.99. This would cost us $ 34.00 plus tax at your place! In addition, your burgers are smaller. Your food is great but your greed is greater.

It’s. No for me, chicken is always burnt! The breakfast burritos lack sooooo much flavor the salads are cool but like I said burnt chicken, I pretty much would eat here if I’m in desperate need of food that’s super close to my house if the cheek wasn’t burnt on the salad it would be bomb

This place use to be one of my favorite places to go because the food was great and inexpensive. Now the portions are smaller and the prices are outrageous. One thing I really liked was they used to sell you a large 32 oz shake/malt for $ 4.50 and now you get a 16 oz for $ 3.29 …like what a rippoff. The new owners really dissatisfied my taste for ever coming back here. Like who in their right mind would pay $ 9.00 for a corn dog fries and a coke. Total rippoff. This place gets a minus 10 stars and I will never recommend this place again to anyone. I’m going to NORMS.

One of my favorites so far this year: I arrived with my niece and nephew for dinner. Menu has a nice variety and included peanut butter and banana shake(didn’t order it lol) with a difficult decision what to ordered! Server/cashier was patient and friendly. I ordered chili cheeseburger combo adding bacon with drink also added small salad with bleu cheese dressing. Everyone was good, fries has seasoning salt and so was the items my niece and nephew ordered I also love they have some decorations inside(Elvis Presley, I Love Lucy, classic cars, and advertising!)! Music has variety. Hope to come back.

Really like this place. My cousin recommended it to me since my chiropractor is in the area. Restaurant itself is very clean and kept up. Ive had the double cheeseburger and gyro from here. Double cheeseburger was awesome, meat was grilled perfectly and came with plenty of cheese. Their fries are decent, although I like seasoned fries and they dont season here, but they were nice and crispy. As for the gyro, it was also decent. Its a good size and they pack it with a lot of meat. The tzatziki sauce wasnt impressive, tasted more like sour cream. Wish it came with some feta cheese on the side. About 9 bucks for either of these combos. Not bad! Will definitely be back.

Decent sandwiches, though nothing stood out as particularly tasty. It’s the kind no-frills place you want to go to after a long hike, but probably wouldn’t visit any other time. The gas station next-door seems to be a magnet for the ratchet crowd, so there’s free entertainment if you opt for drive-thru.

A friend recommended this place and swore the burgers and chili fries were great. Just went today with the husband. He ordered a typical burger and a small order of chili cheese fries. I love bean & cheese burritos and decided to try theirs. The chili cheese fries were«OK». I’ve had better, much better. The burger was not tried because we had to leave prematurely for a business matter. However, I was able to try my bean and cheese. First bite was awful. Tried a second to be sure and it was one of the most bland bean and cheese burritos I’ve EVER had. And I’ve tried my fair share being a bean & cheese burrito lover. I turned it in to have it exchanged for just a strawberry shake, which was good. To be fair, this review is for the FOOD we received, not the service or the establishment itself. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The facility was clean with a pleasant décor. However, it was a bit small. I don’t think I’ll ever come here again, knowing I can find much better food elsewhere. The friend that recommended this place is sure going to get an earful the next time I see her…

Generously filled sandwiches and perfectly cooked fries. Had the Italian grinder and roast beef dip. Both sandwiches were stuffed full of very flavorful meat and the grinder included cheese, crispy lettuce, and ripe tomatoes with the perfect amount of Italian dressing to enhance the flavor yet keep the lettuce fresh and crisp. The French fries are served hot and cooked to perfection… crunchy outside, soft inside. The dining area gives the feeling of a retro diner, with oldies playing in the background. A very quaint little joint. Will be back for sure!

Even though the building is old it is clean and well kept. I order a #1 Jr. Bacon cheeseburger that was tasty but nothing that stood out from ordinary. I would compare it to Legends in upland in taste and quality. The chicken sandwich looked good and some of the other grinders. I would come back

I love coming here. The ladies that work the drive thru are always nice. I tend to order a chicken salad. The salad portion is great. I really enjoy how quickly I get my food. Good spot

I am giving them 3 stars We use to go here a lot. The burgers are good and so is their breakfast. However the reason I have them 3 stars is because they re did their menu and took off all my favorite things… And they raised the prices and shrunk the meals. I use to get a #1 a double cheese burger and it use to come with a large fry and a large drink. They still have this comb but it’s like .65 cents more now and it comes with a medium drink and medium fry. The large fry is a lot of fries but my husband would get a burrito and we’d share the frys I got. It just made me mad that they raised the price but yet made it a smaller meal. If they would have raised the price and kept the same amount of food I would be ok with that.

The owner called me to make things right and get more details. She said I would need to tell her what I need to be happy. I thought that was weird to say and she told me she needed time to think about my comments and she would call me in a few days. Seven months later… No call back.

This is the BEST place ever. 9/25/15-I stopped here on my way home from Vegas one day. First thing I liked was the owner/manager guy was really friendly and greeted us immediately with a smile. Once we ordered, I expected large fries, but man those were big! I love crispy fries and these did not disappoint at all. They were the best. 10/10/15-Second visit, I was on my way back from Vegas again it’s very convenient that it’s right by the freeway. I wanted to try the chicken salad. But because I never order salad anywhere I got a cheeseburger too I didn’t even eat the cheeseburger because my salad was so delicious. The presentation was great as well. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and it was juicy. Third visit was on 10÷21÷15− YES I went back. This time I was home. Well going home from work and I was really craving this salad all day. So my friend and I took a mini roadtrip there. It took an hour to get there, but it was well worth it. I’d do it again.

Those of you who have read my reviews you might I have noticed that I love burgers. I think there are several tiers of burger establishments out there the bottom being McDonalds, Burger King and Carl’s Jr. and the top being the premium burger places that popping up Umami, Burger Parlor(Fullerton), Burger Boss(in the IE) and G Burger(LA&OC). Somewhere in the upper middle are charbroil places. While I have great appreciation for the premium places that are taking burger making to gourmet levels I love the local charbroil joint. Connal’s is your typical Charbroil place. They have and expansive menu of burgers, subs, salads, Mexican food, breakfast items, chili and sides to choose from. A couple of things stand out. I ordered a combo and it came with a large drink which was nice. Normally you get a medium sized drink with a combo meal anywhere you go. Unfortunately, they serve Pepsi products so the large cup didn’t get as much use as I would have liked. I substituted onion rings for the fries that come with the combo I ordered which is standard for me and they were delicious. The onion rings at Connal’s are a must try. Connal’s exists in an old Taco Bell location so its not terribly large and because of this the bathrooms are outside which is no big deal and I only mention it for perspective. The interior is very clean and well taken care of. The décor is a kind of 50ish Americana kitsch. The walls are covered with reproductions of old movie stills, Elvis photo’s street signed and catchy sayings. The process of ordering is quick and efficient. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and asked all the right questions. I always order my burger with fired egg, which often confuses those who are taking my order but she knew what I wanted and confirmed how I wanted the yolk. This was refreshing change of pace. Charbroil places usually get it right once they get over someone asking for an egg on their burger. The premium places always want to give it to you sunny side up and I prefer my over easy. Connal’s prepares serves their burger with the egg over easy by default. The order was prepared quickly, my number was called, I retrieved my food and sat down to enjoy. As I said onion rings were fantastic, my burger however, was what I would consider to be a little on the small side. Normally Charbroil burgers are pretty weighty. This one was on the smaller side and was just slightly larger than a Big Mac. It was flavorful and it did satisfy my needs at that moment but I was hungry again in a couple of hours. One nice thing that I do like is that they use shredded lettuce on their burgers, which I prefer over heads or half a head as some places try to shove in. I enjoyed my visit to Connal’s and I will be back to try their chili and get some more of those awesome onion rings. If you are in the neighborhood you should give them a try.
