Business Owner

Dr. Nancy Wang received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Baylor University and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of Houston in 1999. She received specialized optometric training at both the Veterans Affairs Hospital in San Francisco and the US Naval Air Force Medical Center in Hawaii. During her training, Dr. Wang received recognition for Excellent Patient Care from the VA Hospital.

In addition to her recognized excellence in general optometry, Dr. Wang is particularly skilled and experienced at diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, lasik and corneal reshaping therapy, and special keratoconus contacts.

Awesome family optical. They take care of everyone from my Mom to my kids. They have a great selection of frames and sunglasses. Dr. Wang recommended CRT for my 10yo son, who is extremely active in sports and constantly lost/​broke his glasses. He wears contacts to improve his vision overnight, which has saved me time and money on replacing his lost/​broken glasses. I was worried about my son using contacts at such a young age, but Dr. Wang was so patient in explaining the proper procedure to put on the contacts and he adapted very quickly. Thank you, Argo Optometry!

I went in to see Dr. Wang for an annual check up and as soon as I walked in for my appointment I was greeted by her professional staff. My appointment was at 3:00 and was checked up by Dr. Wang promptly. We ordered contacts and I must say her way of treating me was world class customer service compared to my previous experience let’s just say it was a below mediocre, below average and as we say here in America,” it was a sad So-​So experience «. Will highly recommend this professional to all my family and friends about this gem of optometry!

I argreed with some reviews about how patient Dr. Wang is, until my last check up. I needed to order more contact lenses so I went in to get an eye check up. I had a pair of trial eye contact lenses to try on before ordering new ones. At first, I thought the doctor was very thoughtful since she had taken the time to apply written right and left stickers on the trial lens containers. Later that night, I was curious what was underneath the stickers, so I peeled off the stickers and saw the expiration date was «2014». I cannot believe Dr. Wang would give her patients expired products. Double check anything you buy here, or better yet go elsewhere!

Within the past year I purchased a pair of glasses that cost over $ 300, 1⁄3 of which was paid by my insurance, the rest out of my pocket. And within that period, these knock offs began to fall apart. Most recently, today, the nose guards, after attempting to tighten them over the course of the month, completely fell off. One of them I could not locate due to being in a grassy area. I took them back and asked them to replace the nose guards, and even after spending so much money, they attempted to charge me for such a nominal item. Feeling frustrated, I stopped by the local Wal-​Mart (where my wife purchased her eyeglasses) and within 10 minutes the nose guards were replaced with no mention of a charge, but instead a thank you for stopping by, by the personnel there. I should add that while at Argo I asked the personnel there to plead my case to the doctor. She came back and responded the doctor said you have to pay the extra fee of «$ 10» each. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! And I pray that the doctor is able to pay her house note by some other means than nickle and diming her patients. In the words of a recent Ben Affleck movie, «Argo, _​_​_​_​yourself».

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE to order lenses or glasses.
I did not see Dr. Wang for a prescription but my parents did.
My fathers glasses took nearly a month to arrive when they said it was going to be 2 weeks at the most. So if you need a new prescription as soon as possible this is not the place!
I’m currently waiting on my contact lenses to come in.
I ordered on a Wednesday and was told that they would arrive by the middle of the week next week. I got a call exactly on the date they should’ve arrived. Great! Woman who called said they were ready for pick up and I asked her to check on my father’s 3 week old order. Thank goodness I asked! She came back and said «you know I just noticed that only one set for one eye came in». Uummmmm what? When has that ever happened?
I call back on Saturday because I was told they’d likely arrive in a couple days.
I was told my lenses hasn’t came in. I told the man (?) on the phone the situation. He said «oh weird. Let me check»
He then explains that one lense is on back order for 3 weeks! Why was this information not given to me before I ordered?! I could’ve gone elsewhere! Now I have to wait a month for contact lenses I could have ordered at Costco for cheaper!!!
Don’t order lenses here!!!

Well it’s been 2 years since my eye exam and got my glasses from here. I just had a eye exam again yesterday but I didn’t go here cause I just had a feeling and my feeling was correct. My oringnal Dr. James Cutler was spot on to what I knew to be correct and that was they got my prescription incorrect. I even went back to this place and they told me that nothing was wrong with my prescription which I know me. I suffered for two years with the WRONG PRESCRIPTION! Headaches and unable to see properly. I just KNEW!!! Truly giving this place a rating a BIG FAT ZERO!!! Shame on this place if a customer is telling you something is wrong then maybe you should have listen. Thank you to a true physician Dr. James Cutler who has known me for years and sorry I decide to go to this place.

Overall I think I have found my long term optometrist and where I will be referring all friends and family for eye care.
First time in contacts and staff made it a fun and enjoyable transition. They explained the ins and outs and made sure all my questions were answered.

I have been coming to this place for a while now. I’ve had the same experience every time, I usually wait 30 minutes to an hour after my appointment time. This is the only thing I don’t like about this place. I have to make sure I find frames I like online before I come in. The staff is very friendly, and they always remember me and try their best to help me find the frames I want.

Written 8÷22÷2014 — I was way due for an eye exam and updated prescription. Everyone here was super nice and answered all my questions on what my VSP insurance would cover and what I would owe out of pocket. They even allowed me to pay half of what was due at the time I chose my frames and pay the rest upon pick up of my frames.
EDIT 9−25−14 — Unfortunately, I reviewed this place to soon and before the transaction was completely done. I order TWO frames and picked them out on the day I ordered. However, when I was ready to pick them up there was only one frame there and a set of lenses, no frames. Where were the other frames I had picked out?! They had no answer.
I was then told I would have to go onto the floor and find them again… uh…that is why I PICKED THEM OUT. I really don’t remember which ones I picked, it was a over month ago! I will be asking them for a refund as I was charged for TWO frames with TWO prescription lenses and only received one frame and two loose lenses!
Not good service. As Ed G. said above, Dr. Wang is nice but they lose orders and are pretty rude when they are questioned about it.
EDIT 10−1−14 — Ok so I have no problem changing all I said in the 9 – 25 edit. Lidia, the office manager, fixed all. I actually brought an old pair of glasses that needed fixing and they fixed them for me and put in the lenses I did order into them. Lidia also gave me a Prada case and some more cloth lense cleaner to take home. So I will change my review as I’m wearing my new frames now and they did a great job getting the lenses to fit into my Prada frames.

Love coming here. The place i originally came from took forever to get me in. As soon as I walk in im welcomed by the staff. The wait is no longer than 15 minutes each time. Came here for myself and my three kids. Dr Wang is very knowledgeable and patient which I believe is VERY important. She took her time and explained everything and answered all my questions ! I wanted to like this place. Dr. Wang is a nice enough lady. However, they got my wife’s prescription wrong, twice. They also sold or provided my email address to other companies because I also started getting spam email from «Lasik Vision» and other eye care related businesses that I wasn’t getting before I went there. They also average 3 weeks to make a pair of glasses. They told us it was because our vision care insurance provider makes the process slow. I just went to Walmart and used the same insurance and had two pairs of glass ready in less than a week, so…
We are looking for another provider.
