Narrows Plaza Bowl & Entertainment Center

We have gone here 4 or 5 times a year for nearly 20 years. It is relatively clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The lanes seem to be very well maintained. Black light bowling is especially fun for the kids. Food service is a bit slow and understaffed but the pizza is pretty good. This is a fun place for a family night out!

Fun place to bowl with family! They have a special on Saturdays after 4. 5 can bowl for $ 16.65 including shoes and a 32 oz soda! Saves you $ 30! Nice food. Nachos rocked! Clean and nice staff.

Narrows Plaza Bowl & Entertainment Center is spacious and clean! Great food! Friendly staff and atmosphere! We love bowling here a couple times a week! If you have children I would recommend they join the kids bowling league at Narrows Plaza. Chris and Jimmy are excellent bowling coaches! One of their students just recently won 1^st Place in a Doubles Junior Bowling Tournament thanks to the great youth coaches.

When my friends and I don’t really know what to do, instead of sitting around all night we usually go bowling. The closest alley is Tower Lanes which is open 24 hours, but always seems to be packed. This almost always briings us to Narrows.
The past few times bowling here have actually been pleasant enough to wonder why I consider Towers before here. They have the cosmic lights during night bowling and it is «all you can bowl» for $ 12.95 from 11pm-​1am which is a very good deal.
The food isn’t actually half bad for a bowling alley and the bar is rarely crowded. They even have Karaōke if you have that itch to lay down a line.
Don’t f*ck around too much, I fell down the lane last time and it left a whole in my shin!

The staff is very friendly, they have great food, and the service is outstanding. They also have a very good PRO-​SHOP, with Lots of bowling equipment.

What an amazing night! We went on Friday for black light bowling. 3 lanes, 2 pizzas, 2 salads, and 3 rum n cokes (ahem…) and 5 blue drinks later, we finished up our games and hit the arcade. The little kids had fun (ages 4 – 6) the big kids had fun (ages 10 – 14) and the adults had the most fun of all! The staff handled our large group beautifully, including confusion about pricing and and a last minute lane addition. Many thanks to the crew for making it a great night! You guys rock!

Great staff that handled all the challenges and confusion of our band of little bowlers and folks on three lanes! Bumpers, lane attention, food service, drink service was all top notch.
We had a confusing party certificate to use, coupons, and multiple payers to try to stump the staff, but all was tabulated with patience, and like real pros.
This place has cleaner bathrooms than other area amusement centers. Especially important when you have a bunch of little girls.
They seem to take fun very seriously. We found out by liking the fan page that there was a special for checking in on Facebook! Even better!

I like coming to this place a lot. I’m usually here on Fridays in the arcade where me and some friends own a machine. The staff that works here gives it their all, and I really appreciate that.
There is ample parking for even the busiest of nights. And there is a large amount of lanes available for those who are actually here to bowl.
The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is the food. Granted some of it is good, I’m not a huge fan of most of it. But hey, what can you really expect of a bowling alley.
Prices are reasonable and there is always the arcade if you want to just do that!

Pretty much your average Bowling Alley with all the basic needs.
Been here a couple times expecting to be the cliché bowling alley, and I was correct. The great thing is the prices around the early noon time to where it’s only $ 6 for a couple hours.
The service was super slow when I needed a Ramp for my 2 year old.
I had to remind them 4 times and I had to pay extra for it.
Who does that?

The family packages that are available on the website are great deals, and the ability to reserve your lane online is awesome. The food was decent and well-​priced, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The only downside I experienced was a somewhat small selection of balls to choose from. I have only been here once since I moved to Tacoma, but I will definitely go back.

We had my sons birthday party here when he turned four. Every couple weeks he asks if he can have his next birthday party at the bowling alley again! All the children had fun. The party attendant was present and helpful. All the details before, during and after the party were easy. Well done!

I like coming here for the arcade & bowling but the food is pretty gross & every time we go to pay for our shoes & to pick an alley there’s ALWAYS this one attendant sitting behind the counter sucking face with his girlfriend who just stands next to him on the other side of the counter like a watch dog all day. There’s been times they’ve been soo focused on each other that my boyfriend & I stood there for 2 minutes without them even noticing we were there. That’s pretty annoying. leave your personal life at home, it’s supposed to be family friendly.

I’ve been here a few times and it is always a good experience! Prices are decent and customer service is great. Has usual bowling alley food and a full service bar in the back. Great place to go with friends or family!

I grew up in Tacoma and completely forgot about Narrows Plaza. Today I took my little sister to meet up with an old friend and my fascination with it was renewed! My little sister loved it as well, calling it better than Acme and our local bowling alley in Kent. The people at the front desk were very nice and I noticed all the prizes they have for the arcade — coach purses, keurigs, you name it! The arcade is super nice and has a huge assortment of games. What I like is that they have a station where you can get tokens with your debit or credit card (for those who don’t carry cash). They also have a little restaurant next to the arcade as well, which is convenient. The actual bowling experience is pretty much like every where else, aside from the fact that you can choose what theme you want your score screen to be, which is cute. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely an awesome place to check out. It’s an all-​in-​one entertainment center that’s good for all ages.

Not a bad place to bowl. However the service there was horrible. We payed for our game and was told we had an hour to bowl. We got our shoes and waited for them to get our lane it took about 15 minutes. We started bowling then 45 minutes in the game cut out on us. We asked the manager and he all he said is to you get an hour from the moment you pay. So an hour bowling in not really an hour. As long I had got food while we where bowling and it them 30 minutes to make my cold fries.

My family and I came to celebrate Mother’s Day and we had a blast! Jacob was wonderful! He treated us very well and honored our coupons. We will definitely return.

Some really good deals at this alley! Great atmosphere during glow bowling sessions including a live DJ. Haven’t tried the food yet, but for bowling this place is great!

I am rating this place 5 stars because of the good customer service and facility in general. Its a nice safe place to bowl and they have a very good pro shop and nice eating establishment. They also have an arcade that will keep the rug rats happy.
I just purchased a bowling ball from the pro shop and was very happy with the way Fred assisted me choosing a ball by watching me bowl. I like the way he sized the ball and then watched me bowl again to see if it was the right fit. Very pleased!

Good Bowling Alleys are a dime a dozen, if that even. I will say that this specific location is one of the better ones.
Located in a nice neighborhood and kind of hidden, maybe that’s what gives it the extra appeal? Updated and well light, not like the shady, dingy bowling alleys that around the Tacoma area, I won’t say names! Pretty clean as well and no horrible smell when you first enter.
Service is above average, alot of young adults that seem to enjoy what they are doing, I mean working at a bowling alley can’t be all that bad right? Food is normal bowling alley food and I would say is a better than average as well. The bartender in the bar was super duper sweet!
I had my daughter’s birthday party here a couple years ago and they offer great packages, check it ou!

Big, modern alley with some terrific weekday bowling specials and weekend glow bowling– plus a café, bar, and arcade.
This bowling alley has been around for a long, long time but they’ve managed to keep up with technology (more so than the few others in the area that I’ve been to recently, at any rate). Each lane has it’s own wide screen LCD monitor with another LCD television sandwiched between every pair. The black lights, lasers, disco balls, colored lights, and sound system make for a kick-​ass glow bowling set up.
The last several times I’ve been in here have been on weeknights for the 4 for $ 6 deal: any four of game (s) of bowling, shoe rental, hot dog, or soda for six bux is a pretty good deal! Seems like they’re never too crowded on these deal nights, either, which is an added bonus– no waiting for a lane and easy to find a house ball that fits. You may have to put up with a repetitive Top 40 soundtrack, though, and so far I’ve been unable to determine how to change the TV channel off of ESPN… but oh well, that’s all just background to the bowling anyway.
I can’t really comment on the food here, but they do have a decent beer selection, too. Fun place!
