Another great year with Security One. I hope to never have to use anyone else. Thanks to all the staff there for helping to keep me and my house safe.

Security One recently installed a system in my home. The products are great and services are/​were excellent. I initially contacted Mr. Roger who had me set up my services through Ms. Amanda. Both were very informative and highly professional people. Mr. Oscar and company set the system up in my home. He was great as well. I am very happy with my security system. Thank you Security One for your highly professional services.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
Security One really need to think about their SOP’s when someone passes away that is a customer.
My father passed in January 2015. Security One allowed someone who is not family call in and change the codes on my father’s home without showing any proof as to who they were or what their relation to my father was. The codes were changed again two days after my father passed, again without checking proof that my father actually died, who they were and what their relation to my father was. I really have to repeat this: they DID NOT check ID’s at all, ask for proof of death, or relationship. When the codes were changed/​deleted it effectively locked me out of my father’s home and allowed a non family member open access to all his personal effects, including cash, jewelry and guns.
And just to make it absolutely clear: my father, at the time of his passing, was unmarried/​single and living alone. The two people that added themselves to his account THE DAY AFTER HIS PASSING were merely on the emergency call list. That does NOT entitle them access to his home, to change/​add/​delete security codes and to add themselves to his account.
I find it down right scary that a security company would allow this to happen and would make sure to choose a company that actually cares about the safety of their customers and their families in such a time.
I have contacted S1 many times over the last few months requesting full logs of all of the entries to my father’s home for the day and month after his passing and they refuse to release this information to me unless I pay them a ridiculous amount of money. This information is needed for detectives to research the case that has been opened into the burglary of my father’s home. Due to S1’s negligence and general apathy, my father’s home was ransacked and burgled.
Stay FAR away from this company.

Alarm monitoring is ok. The tech they sent to our house was, on 2 events, incompetent, causing us to fire them and going to another (GVTC) alarm service.
First time their «tech» lost a wire in the wall, making a window alarm inoperative. More recently he made a mess of our phone punch down board, costing us $ 85 to have the phone company clean up his amateur mess.
Simply, they ruined one window alarm and caused us to not only lose our alarm service, but made a mess of our phone service, causing our loss of phone dial tone.
«Robert» says he’s ‘taking care of it’ but this tech still works there and represents his company. I suggest you look elsewhere.
