Never doing business here again. I decided to throw my baby shower her about a month ago and the guy who rented the room to me I forgot his name was the most rudest person ever!
When I first put a down payment in November he was nice answering my questions and showing me the room. Now when January approached I called him asking when can I set up, seeing as though my shower started at 3 my decorators needed time to set up the place. He replied saying. «you can come at 2» how the hell am I suppose to set up a whole baby shower in a hour? Does he not know how there things works? I tell him that a bit nicer and he responds «well you booked the room from 3−7». We go back and forth and I make it clear I will be there before 2 to set up since no one else was even occupying that room beforehand on that day.
Now the day of my shower everything is going smooth until at 6 (mind you the shower is from 3 – 7) they keep reminding us that the shower ends at 7. Basically trying to rush us out as if I didn’t not pay for 3 – 7! We start breaking things down as it gets closer to 7 and the old white guy I booked the room with comes to me saying «we close at 7 I don’t think you’ll be out by 7». At that time it was 6:45 and people were just milling around chatting as they made their way to the door. Chairs were being put up and garbage was being collected.
I wanted to curse him out but replied «we’ll be out stop harassing me»
The whole room was cleaned up and shut down at 7:05. The employees were acting as if they had somewhere to be most are Middle Ages and going home to feed their cats.
It is very rude to rush people who paid for a service. I wish I would’ve chosen a better place to throw my baby shower. If u would’ve know the event coordinator was such a douche bag I would’ve never booked my shower there.

I’ve been coming to this YMCA since I moved to Union a few years back! I love it!
All shapes and sizes, fitness levels, young and old, different nationalities and families. There is no pretentiousness here, staff is always friendly and encourage people to try different classes. They have many different classes all the way from Tai-​Chi to HIIT, and the most popular and numerous class Zumba! The classes are 45 min classes which suits your average Y member just fine. All of the instructors are very encouraging and nice! They have a gym area with a lot of cardio and weight machines, a small area in the back for all the hardcore types. They do not pump music into the gym area. They also have a Kinesis studio and a cycle room. All areas including the locker rooms are very clean and well kept.
Free childcare is also offered! There is a small café in the lobby that is open during the day.
The other gym on Tucker Ave is where the pool and indoor basketball courts are, they have a small gym there too, but it has older machines.
The price is great; I pay $ 83 a month for a family membership. Many times during the year they offer free signup.

Love this YMCA location and it’s so close to my house. Friendly staff, they have a variety of fitness classes and new exercise equipment.

Great place to come and work out. It’s family oriented. People from all ages and families work out together. It’s not like those big muscle building gyms. They have all kinds of classes spinning, Zumba, etc. I like coming here and they have a great App.

I’ve been going to YMCA’s since I was a kid. So its a tradition in my family. But I have been to a lot of other gyms before because of location or other reasons. And the «Y» by far beats the rest. From the staff, to the classes. I have never saw any machine out of service and the facility is very clean. 5 stars for 5 points

My entire basement is a gym & I’ve belonged to 7 different gyms thus far. This place has anything you can imagine to have a great workout, it’s unbelievably clean & they have plenty of staff on hand to assist you w/​anything you need. Easily gets a 5* review.

I reopened my family membership after I was dissatisfied with the other gym. This place is an extension from the other YMCA on Tucker St. This is very close to my house. The parking lot is huge and can get filled if it is busy day. There are plenty of machines from cardio to weights to dumb bells. You an also sign up for classes such as Spin or Zumba. They also have special events like diabetes courses and AARP driving courses. Highly recommend.

this is a GREAT gym. it covers all your wellness needs. The staff is ready and willing to help all the time. very polite. very nice atmosphere for all. i loved it so much i have convenience other family to sign up and join. there is something for everyone. what better investment than your health.

I love this YMCA!!! It’s amazing. The gym is large and have a good amount of machines. Even during the gym «rush hour» you can find empty machines. They have a variety of workout classes to chose from… everything from Zumba to Yoga. The staff is very welcoming and always willing to help you learn about the machine and how to improve on your weight loss goals.

Everything here is about 1 – 2 years old… so that definitely gives it a leg up on most places. Tons and tons of classes, a lot of cardio machines, free weights and dumb bells.
The staff is very helpful and if a studio is empty, you can use it for yourself.
The parking lot is huge and membership at this Y includes the Tucker ave location.
