After several reassurances my insurance would cover an amalgam filling and that an amalgam filling would be done, I was anaesthetized and then told I would be billed $ 250 for a resin filling. I ran the hell out of there but first gave them a piece of my mind. How are they still in business?

What is the point of calling your business, The Apprehensive Patient, when the dentist has no clue how to handle an apprehensive patient!!! What part of apprehensive did this female dentist not understand. This incident occurred a few months ago and I had a 2 crown procedure and upon my second visit to have the permanent crowns put on she did not offer novocaine-just yanked off the temporary crowns and of course once the air hit my teeth I about flew threw the roof from pain. To add insult to injury she kept saying I never have had to give novocaine before and if this bothers you then we will need to do root canal! Unbelievable! During my horrible time in the chair the head dentist comes over as he hears all of the interaction between us and says to her, I need to see you after your done. Really? Hopefully to fire her! She was the rudest, uncaring dentist I have ever been to and will NEVER go back here again. I gave 1 star as the front desk staff were ok.

I had a good experience. My insurance cover everything. I had a cleaning, took xrays. I did not have any cavities. I agreed to come back in 6 months. I did not have to wait more than a few days for the appointment. I was happy.
